If I could give 0 stars I would. I have know idea what happened to this company it has taken a turn for the worst. I have been with them for a couple years and the system started failing after 2 yrs. Mind you I was told that the cameras would connect to the panel at the time of purchase. This was a lie. The connection was to happen 6 months after installation due to this new system they were supposed to have. Come to find out the they were bought out by Google and now this is not going to happen. Of course at 6mth you can no longer cancel without penalty. Interesting but back to the malfunction I did not have a properly working system for a month then they say that I need to get add on for the system to opperate the way they initially promised in the first place. I was told by a supervisor that they could break the balance up into 3 months payments which they took the whole amount without my permission and then tells me that I wasnt approved for monthly installments huh if that were so how did she set it up they clearly state that they heard on the recorded call that this was stated. These pepole are BIG LIARS they will say the managers will call you and they will call and hang up on the first ring. You will be on the phone for hours for anything that you call for everytime I called it was hours. Can you trust a liar to protect your home with valuables that gives you the run around when ever you call. DONT DO IT!!! YOU WILL REGRET IT!!!

BUYER BEWARE - Worst customer service in the industry
Worst customer service in the industry Our front doorbell camera and garage door sensor stopped working while out of the country. The light on the doorbell WAS FLASHING SHOWING IT WAS BROKEN for the whole time we were away. Basically inviting criminals into the house and letting my whole neighborhood know we do not have a working camera. After waiting on hold for over an hour and many failed attempts to get through they told me they would have someone reach out to schedule a technician. Its now been 2 plus weeks no call.... I had to once again call back wait an hour to finally get an appointment. As I write this I am on another hour-long hold just to ask for a credit for the weeks the system has been broken. They also keep blaming my internet as the issue. I literally pay for the best fiber optic speeds offered in Canada. Only device with issues is ADT but somehow its my internet. AVOID ADT AT ALL COSTS

HORRIBLE COMPANY…terrible customer…
HORRIBLE COMPANY…terrible customer service. I cancelled my service back in 2021 via phone and email and was still charged until October 2022. Been on the phone with their customer service at least 12 times since October and been told that I agreed to a reduced rate to keep the service. I know I wouldn’t have done so since I sold the home and did not take the service with me. Since they claim to record all calls not sure why they don’t just listen to the recording to verify what I am saying. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THEM OR HAVE THEM EVER AGAIN.

Trying over and over again to contact…
Trying over and over again to contact customer service/technical as we have a bad sensor and need it replaced. Our system will not work at all until this is replaced. I have called, waited for ALOT of time, then have tried several times for the requested call back route. NO ONE CALLS. Why am I paying for monthly when the system doesn't work and I cannot get anyone to help us? Ready to cancel entirely and go a different security route.

If i could give no Stars... Currently I have spent the day waiting for a supervisor to call me back. I called back their agents told me i needed to keep waiting. However, ADT is about to Charge me $1389.45 because the First REP Carolina cancelled my service when i had been convinced by her to not cancel my service and let her send a Tech over to my house to fix my problem with the system ((FREE OF CHARGE)). I said fine I will take that and had the tech come He told me I would not be charged for anything he did!!! I then get a bill for 1389.45 I call to see what is going on and spoke with Donna who was nice enough to agree that there was a mistake and that something had gone wrong with what Carolina. She then tells me that i will have to call back after the 4th because the depart me i need doesnt work weekends and will be out for the Holiday. I did I waited now I called and I have spoken with 2 more 1 i could not hear very well at all and i just asked to speak to a manager and the other Vincent or Robert I couldnt understand his heavy accent he tells me I need to wait becuase the manager is going to work on my case. I tell him that was me who asked to speak to the manager and i need to talk to them today because i cant have this money pulled from my account It will over draw my account all he could say was that he was not refusing to help me but he was and i said let me speak with Donna and now i have been on hold currently 1HOUR AND 2 MINS ADT Equipment is Garbage the sensor on the front door never worked and we had the tech guy come out to fix it right after it was installed still didn't work. them the doorbell stopped working and finally the box inside stopped working. When the new tech guys came, he agree that the system was faulty, and he changed it all and said I would not be charged!!! Ive called a total of 5 times No one has helped Stay away from this Company!!!!!!

The worst company when you try to cancel the contract they leave you on hold for more than two hour never answer.three week calling nobody can help .If you transfer service they never cancel you old service too.

ADT has changed and charges for everything
I had put the system in 10 years ago. I have noticed a major change over the last few years. I pay monthly as the monthly rate increases. Any time the system has a problem which recently is often, I call and wait on hold for hours... yes hours for assistance. Assistance does not solve the problem but schedules a repair person. the repair person charges to come out and a separate charge to actually put in a new battery and for the cost of the battery. Last battery replacement was over $220... looking for a new service

Terrible customer services
Terrible customer services. My equipment hasn’t worked in a while and I keep reaching out to have it fixed. Calls dropped. Hanging up on me. Trying to cancel services but same thing happens. Horrible company.

Rip off company!!!
rip off! dont evet get ADT! they will tell you that you can cancel anytime if you change your mind, except total 4000$ amount that you have to pay at the end!! I NOT RECOMMENDING TO ANYONE!

Horrible Company !!
Horrible Company !!! Absolutely HORRIBLE ! Wouldn't recommend this company to anyone. Customer service is horrible, wait times on hold are horrible, Nobody can help once you get through, always trying to transfer to someone else. Can't wait till my contract is done. Will NOT go with ADT again. Deffinetly going with a different company.

I tried to cancel the service and they told me we were under a contract until 2025. Never signed this agreement and they could not provide a copy of the contract after 3 calls requesting the copy. The hold times are ridiculous and they do all they can to try and get you to hang up before getting to an agent. The recording ask if you need help paying your bill about a 100 times so all they are interested in is getting your money.

I wish I could give ADT zero stars
I wish I could give ADT zero stars. Dealing with ADT has been a nightmare. After we upgraded our router, the ADT camera stopped working. Trying to follow the ADT video to fix this was an exercise in frustration and futility. I’ve called ADT four times over the past three days, and each phone call has been a disaster — from an ADT agent who scheduled a “virtual” visit that never happened, to an agent who advised “be patient, we’re busy,” to an agent who hung up on me. I’m not sure which is worse — their lack of communication or their shoddy customer service. At this point, I regret that I ever signed up with ADT.

DO NOT get ADT....Better off going with someone else. Waste of money. Horrible service.
This is a horrible company with horrible equipment. I have had them for 12 years and to be honest they have sucked the whole time. The camera is always off line. Have had 2 technicians out here to fix the camera over the last 5 years and still no change. Trying to move service to our new gome and they want us to pay $700 for new equipment even though the equipment at my current address is paid in full. How fair is that for a longterm customer. DO NOT get ADT. You are better off getting RING or going with some other alarm company.

Liars and horrible Customer Service
I have been a customer for over 6 years with ADT and the initial setup as a new customer was OK, but after a few months, they began to increase the predetermined monthly rate from $39.95 a month to $47.98 a month. Called CS and asked why the increase when I have a contract that has been set for 3 years for a specific monthly rate and I was told that on the fine print of the contract ADT can increase the monthly rate without notification at their own discretion. I was surprised by the news and I checked the contract was there was a section that indicated that. One year passed by and again my rate increase now to $57.99 a month. I got upset about the substantial increase and called back and they came up with the same story and told me that I can negotiate the rate in the first 30 days from the increase but I didn't find out about the rate increase until I get your CC charge 30 days after that. So it is a game to play with them. After lots of talk and CS always trying to upsell your account they agreed to reduce the fee to $54.99. A couple of years pass by and my contract expired they began to call me to lock me in on a new contract indicating that if I don't do that they will increase my rate again, but if I lock my contract they will do an exception and gave me a new lower rate of $47.99. I knew that as soon I lock myself on a new contract I will be stuck with ADT and they will increase the rate as they pleased. So I decided to look for another company and I called CS to cancel my service and that is where the nightmare began with ADT. The first agent keeps me on the phone for over 35 mins trying to convince me not to cancel the service with ADT and to lock me in on a new contract. I told him I need to see the contract before I agree verbally over the phone with the new terms and the CS agent refused to provide me with the contract until I agree and accept the new contract. How can I agree and accept a new contract before reading what I'm accepting. So he understood my point but alleged ADT is a serious company and they won't screw up their customers HA!. So I told him, I need to cancel my service and this is my formal 30 days notice even though I do not have a valid contract anymore with ADT because expired 3 years ago, and they just charged my CC already the current month. I asked will you reimburse the money for the unused days. He said yes and I cancel my service. That is what I thought... The end of the month came by and a new charge again to my CC from ADT. I call back CS and the new agent told me that the information given by the other agent was incorrect and ADT does not reimburse money for partial use of their services. I asked why I got charged again and he indicated that my service was still active, and I didn't cancel my service with ADT and the previous agent just wrote on my account that I was thinking about canceling the service. So now I have to cancel AGAIN the service and I asked for a confirmation email of the cancelation and he said he can't provide that. Again refusing to provide you with official documents. The end of the next month passed by and a new partial charge shows up on my CC. At this point, I contacted my CC and blocked ADT and submitted a complaint about the charges, and called ADT asking why I keep getting charges their excuse was that those charges are for the partial month after my cancelation notification even though I told ADT 2 months ago about it. The CS rep refused to adjust my account and told me I need to pay them even though it shows on their system and on my online account that my ADT unit was not operational for over 45 days with no communication with ADT. The CS rep even threatens me telling me "if you don't pay us ADT will keep trying to collect money from you and if you don't pay we will send you to a collections agency and report that to the credit bureau to damage my credit" All this for the partial charge of $28.86. So if you are looking to deal with a company that lies to their customers and will take all the money possible from their customers, ADT is the one to go. This is the typical BIG company behavior that they are too big to care about their reputation and CS service. They are here to make money and their contracts are always in their favor and to screw up their customers.

Before you decide to go with this…
Before you decide to go with this company. Make sure you ask. Lots of questions. The customer service people I had so far very patient good to work with. Getting someone to help you when you have to change your Wi-Fi and reset your outside camera STINK!!!!! I guess if you don’t pay for some service that they don’t tell you about you Gotta do it on your own. They expect people in their 60s to climb a ladder reset the outside camera. Not all of us are all computer people or comfortable messing around with the Wi-Fi. You should send someone out there to help them in person.. Be careful even though you have your money withdrawn from your bank for payment you better monitor or they may screwed you over like happen to me. I had two different payments coming out payment & extra cameras . I look to see what my balance was pay off . They hit me with the full balance payment. They said there was a problem, drawling out the funds, even though the other one was being taken out just fine. Just be careful people . Make sure you call other alarm company before going with them.

The worst service .I have ADT service…
The worst service .I have ADT service in my house I have low battery alarm .I contact them a month ago tell know they haven’t sent me the battery Or technician. They claim the reason for the low battery power outage and I have not lost power since I install the ADT system they don’t stand by their service just they want everybody money.

This is possibly one of the worst…
This is possibly one of the worst companies I have ever dealt with in my entire life. George is so rude it’s unbelievable. I moved into a new house and the alarm needed a code. Granted it’s a old house but anyway before we can upgrade it we thought let’s just get some protection for first few weeks. 10 phone calls later my alarms a bleeping all through the house no pin code still and I’ve signed up for the monthly membership and I’ve asked for a call back for a new system quote. I mean it’s new business and not even a phone call back! Shocking!

ADT IS THE WORST SH *T I EVER STEPPED ON. My account got canceled for no reason and I was charged $2200 for that! Called customer service and they told me they can’t find my account?? No one cares how much you are getting charged as long as they get the money.

Horrible customer service
0 zeros if possible Echoing similar experiences i read from others calling to cancel the ADT service is just horrible i called the number to cancel my service 2 weeks in advance of my contract expiration and waited over 2.5 hours on hold then my call ended; still trying to cancel my account the ADT chat is useless as they can't even have someone call me

Changed our internet provider and need…
Changed our internet provider and need to get cameras connected. Wait times on the phone are more than one hour every time you call. Online chat is a bot. Finally got someone on Facebook and they won't even send a technician. They want to do a "virtual" appointment. I've already done what they want me to do which is hang upside-down from my window and reset the cameras. This company is awful.

If I could give a 0 I would. Have been a customer for 9 years. Very frustrating to say the least the last 2 years. Customer service is horrible. I am trying to cancel my contract ending in 2 weeks and just get passed from one person to another. Hold times can exceed 90 minutes. Its not worth the $. Stay away, far away!

Day 1. I had ADT service installed today in my new home, and everything was going well until the tech was in the attic and made a big hole in my roof. Now, I am stuck with a big hole in my attic. Hopefully, ADT will fix it ASAP.

Wish there was a place for a zero star…
Wish there was a place for a zero star rating. If you're considering ADT I would highly suggest to stay away. We were selling our home and wanted to transfer our service to the new location. The representative got everything set up and when the technician showed up he said they could not connect their system, cameras, or smart home technology to satellite based wifi. This was never mentioned or a question that was asked by them during the call to set up. After the technician left I called ADT today to explain what had happened and they basically said there was nothing they could do and the balance of my full service contract was now due immediately. So now I have no equipment because they instructed me to leave it at the home, they can't provide me service at my new home, and there was no consideration for them not disclosing there policy about Satellite wifi compatibility. Been a longstanding customer with them and have tolerated there 45 minute+ wait times to speak to a live person, if you're lucky enough to get one, long enough. If you're looking for a company that will find any way possible to not help, assist, or provide fair solution or resolutions to problems then this is your company. I should have know to just buy a system, install it myself, and not enter into any agreements with a company like this!!

If I can find a zero star
If I can find a zero star, I would select it. This is beyond frustrating. I have been a loyal customer for the last 11 years or more. everything is smooth with ADT until you actually need them. No maintenance, old sensor that will make the alarm go off without any reason, no technical support, when the battery runs a out they ask you to change it in your own, unprofessional customer service, and even when I called to cancel my account, they kept on CHARGING me monthly after cancelling. Big mess Very disappointing And totally frustrating!!!
