Worst alarm customer service they deal…
Worst alarm customer service they deal with third parties that charge additional for services and equipment you never had. If you don't stay on top of your account they will overcharge and double charge your account. Long holds and nothing never gets resolved

Worst experience from beginning to end
Worst experience from beginning to end. The salesman flat out lied. We were told that our entire system was covered, and that if anything was damaged during our remodel to just let let them know and they would replace it no questions asked. Scheduled an appointment only for the tech to not show up, and then when I called I was told that sales would have to come back out and start over, none of the previous equipment could be used. They “stopped using that contractor because they kept promising things that were not true”. I wasted over $3,000 for an alarm system that was used for less than 6 months. If ADT knew that they had a contractor lying to THEIR CUSTOMERS, they should have fired them and then fulfilled the job as promised. All lies, they just want your money.

ADT FRAUD
I was not trained on my ADT system. The smart fire alarm does not shut off automatically. False alarm, fire trucks, 400 dollar fine. 1980's hardware, why are ADT's door sensors the largest in the industry. UGLY. Why does ADT use a large DC adapter screwed into my wall, UGLY. Tech installed no yard signs, no stickers. Smart smoke alarm was installed and left a large unpainted mark on my ceiling. ADT has no customer complaint email system, they only have a mailing address. This tells you everything you need to know about ADT. Lastly we had an existing ADT system when moving into our new home. The sales rep told my wife it was a easy setup and our bill would only be 69 dollars a month. She left out the part where the install was 600 dollars and they would rope us into a 5 year contract. Techs couldn't install ADT doorbell cam, they swapped in a RING doorbell cam which cannot be integrated into the system, they charged me 200 dollars for the RING, Amazon charges 99 dollars for the exact same ring product. ADT is a fraud. Zero customer service. Run away. Get a DIY system.

Absolutely awful company
Absolutely awful company. If they say you owe them money and dispute it, they send the bailiffs round very quickly. When that fails they gave our details to a random no win no fee solicitor to chase us. They gave up after one letter b Cowboys. Ive just read your automated and completely inadequate response and I am not interested in any further communication with your company. PLEASE GIVE THESE FOOLS A WIDE BERTH. !!

Please do not trust ADT
Please do not trust ADT. If you decide to do business with them, do not listen to them. Read the contract very thoroughly before you sign. ADT will tell you one thing and the contact says something different. Do not sign anything including giving ADT permission to come out to install equipment because once you sign that permission form they will attach it to a contract that you might not see until after 30 days.

Technician No Show
Twice stayed home from work to allow a technician entry to update the system. Twice the tech failed to show during a 4 hour appointment window. 4 hours is a long time -- get your scheduling in order ADT! At least offer some billing credit when you waste 8 hours of my time and make me take 2 days off work.

Beware your parents aren't being charged for something that doesn't exist
My elderly mother recently passed away. She and my father had ADT Security installed in 2000. The monthly fee was $27.49 a month. I suppose that's not bad if you have a working system. I discovered my mother's system required a new battery, and hasn't worked since at least 2012 when my father passed away. How about a customer service phone call, and follow up with old contracts to ensure customers are covered? Nope, they gladly charged her account all that time. That's 9 years = 108 months (of no service) x 27.49 equals $2968.92 my elderly mother spent. I called to cancel this worthless service, and inquired about how they know, or don't know if someone's security is working properly. Well they don't know. I have a final bill to pay for $24.74, because they "need a 30 day notice." Shame on ADT for not checking up on customers, and happily billing them a monthly worthless fee. Come on, we know the advances in their products, and one would think their sales team would follow up on older contracts. Nope! You might want to check with your elderly parents, and see if they've fallen into the old contract abyss, and have a non functioning system with ADT that are being withdrawn by automatic payments on a credit, or debit card. Nice job ADT for basically robbing nearly $3,000.00 from my mother while giving her nothing in return. I would avoid ADT at all costs. I guess the little blue sign might be a deterrent, or maybe not.

Worst customer service
Worst customer service. Transfer you back and force for canceling services. The rate is so high as $70. Customer services let you wait for 30 minutes and bad attitude. Hang up Whenever cancel without asking any more questions.

THE MOST HORRIBLE COMPANY EVER! Don’t ever do security system through them! Customer service is awful! They take forever to answer calls, they don’t do anything for you when they do answer your calls and transfer you to someone else. Our system has had broken pieces here and there since the day we got it installed and we have called multiple times and the person who sold us it won’t do anything about it and the person who installed it won’t. Absolutely horrible

This is a horrible company! I’m a current customer who is experiencing the worst customer service ever! Please go to Ring, Safelight, or anywhere besides ADT! They are just out for your money with these expensive prices, constant lies, & poor customer services! Don’t say you wasn’t warned!

ADT is a greedy company that is not willing to help people during a global pandemic. I have tried to cancel my account due to my inability to pay. The pandemic has hurt me financially and now ADT is doing the same by not helping its customer during a hardship. I DO NOT recommend getting this in your home because ADT will not help customers with unforeseen issues like a global pandemic.

Expensive service call fees
I have had ADT for about 6 years now. Everything was good for the first couple of years until slowly but surely equipment failures began to happen. What they do not tell you is that they charge 100.00 per service call and the price of the equipment that they have to replace. I have had to have them out twice in the past year and refuse to call them again even though I'm now having problems with my alarm panel. This on top of the monthly monitoring fee makes them the highest prices service available. If your looking for a good alarm company there are several that will come out on service calls without charging you as long as you pay your monthly monitoring fee. As soon as my contract is up I will be switching companies.

If I could give less than one star I…
If I could give less than one star I would. A few weeks ago my alarm system stopped working it took over a week for a tech to come check it he said it was the motion detector. Today I accidentally forgot to turn off the alarm and again it didn’t go off so I guess it was never fixed I called to get an appointment AGAIN it will be over a week. I live alone I am in a wheelchair I need it to WORK. ADT needs to hire local techs instead of the tech having to come from 100 miles away. I see that ADT has 85 percent negative reviews that doesn’t say very much for an alarm company. The alarm company I had sold to ADT I would never have chosen ADT because of their bad reviews

Never consider it.
Never, ever even consider dealing with this company. Bad from start to finish. They will take your money, give you nothing back. The rudest ever customer service reps who are so quick to remind you that you are trapped in a contract.

Worst company ever
Worst company ever! I thought AT&T was the worst company ever ADT takes the cake hands-down! Not one person can tell you how their new wireless system operates each time you call you get a different answer. Upgraded my wired system through the wireless and have regretted it. Spent over two hours on separate phone calls trying to get this garbage system out of my house and the old one and put back. They expect me to pay for reinstallation when the product was sold without disclosing how it actually works. Have to call back on Monday and try to get a hold of customer loyalty. I’ve been in ADT customer for 15 years ridiculously horrible company!

Stay away, first thing they say is you signed contract CONTRACT, as soon as you sign it your screwed, our new alarm.com pay attention folks alarm.com where adt get their kit from was fitted by some eeejit with sticky pads to an internal wall and 3 days later fell on floor activating panic alarm, only panic was the it fell off in first place. After speaking to adt obout installation and camera which we bought upfront and in full, we were told was it was part of contract and as we signed it we had no recourse to cancel even when it stopped working after main fitting fell off the wall. So in essence folks when nice happy salesperson comes to call, to somewhere else and please DO NOT SIGN CONTRACT OR YOUR ACTUALLY SCREWED BY ADT Just buy you alarm from same firm they do Alarm.com plain and simple

Packages stolen from in front of my…
Packages stolen from in front of my doorbell camera but the footage is useless because it's mostly pixels. ADT is great at initial install but follow service is horrible.

I am highly disappointed with my ADT…
I am highly disappointed with my ADT doorbell camera. I’m constantly having problems with it not working properly. I’ve had it changed out twice, but it only works for a few days then it’s back to not working. The problem is the same, each time “not taking clips, not detecting motion, and not sending alerts. My other cameras are working and are online. It’s not my internet service and I don’t have any other devices that are using my internet service. Two days ago I had a tech talk me into resetting the camera over the phone, and it worked fine for that time only. Next day or same day it stopped working again. The main reason for my subscription to ADT is for the doorbell camera but with the constant problems with the doorbell camera, I have concluded that you guys just can’t get it right. Terrible service and equipment. Nothing is worse than paying for a service and not getting it.

Unprotected After 2 Months
I am going on 2 months and ADT has yet to complete my installation, parts that have been installed are faulty, a refund for cameras that were not installed was never received and lastly, a $100 Visa Gift card was promised and never received. The installer never showed up to the final appointment to remedy all the issues which was scheduled 26 Feb between 11-3. I call the ADT customer service and they have no clue about a refund nor do they show any appointments. No one wants to help us and here we are with an unprotected home for almost 2 months and no remedy from customer service. Speaking with Keisha in customer service was an absolute waste of time and now I have to fight up the chain to find someone to resolve all of these issues before this turns into a legal battle. All the time and my home and family are not protected and ADT does not live up the their mission statement. Very dissatisfied and feel this is going to drag out for a long time.

Disappointed ADT Customer
I'll start out by saying that I have NEVER written a review for any product or service that I have purchased in the past. That being said, I cannot believe the lack of customer service I have experienced in the past week and felt absolutely compelled to caution others who may be thinking about going through ADT. I originally went through ADT because it is a big name business that I thought would provide my family with the protection we needed. At first the service was great. We had a technician come in and install our system and the guy that came was extremely knowledgable and willing to help. We just moved back to the U.S. from Germany so we had to buy all new appliances. We ordered our washer and dryer without thinking of the placement of our ADT key pad. After doing some measuring, we realized that the placement was going to be an issue. We contacted the person who did the initial installation, he had given us his card and told us to call him if we ever need anything. His response to me seemed a little odd but I kind of understood at the same time. He asked us if we would wait till after the 30 day period so it didn't look like he was returning back to our house for something he did wrong...again I kind of understood this and since it wasn't his fault, I agreed. Besides, the delivery of the washer and dryer wasn't supposed to be for another 30 or so days. My wife contacted our installer almost two weeks out from our projected washer and dryer delivery date and he agreed to come out on a set date between 11 and 3. That day came and my wife made sure to make herself available that day but the ADT rep never showed. My wife called and texted him numerous times throughout the day and he never bothered to return her call. Obviously we were frustrated but couldn't do a whole lot. I contacted the ADT customer service line the next day and they said that the only day they had available was Saturday...the day after our washer and dryer delivery. After I explained what happened, they said they would put a priority code on my case and that a manager would contact me within 24-48 hours...that never happened. During this time, the original ADT rep reached finally reached out to my wife, days later, and explained that he had broke his phone...unlikely, but OK. He then proceeded to tell my wife that her best course of action would be to contact ADT customer service to set up an appointment with a different person...ARE YOU KIDDING ME. This is the caliber of folks that such a large cooperation has working for them???? I contacted the customer service line again on Thursday and was passed around 4 different times to people that were "trying to help me" but there was never any resolution. After being on the phone for, no kidding, almost 2 hrs the end result was the same...what a joke! I completely understand that I am not the only customer ADT has but when their employee fails to deliver a service, I think adjustments should be made to ensure the customer is taken care of. This whole situation has me overwhelmed with the idea of being with them for another 35 months. I cannot believe how poor their customer service is, at least in this situation. Based on the size of their cooperation, you would think their customer support would be top notch...SO NOT THE CASE! Side Note: to be fair...it seems that the security portion of ADT is on point. I can't complain about their response to activated alarms. I accidentally closed the door to my restroom too hard and the broken glass detection went off while my house was alarmed. ADT security contacted me within seconds of the alarm going off. So to be clear, my complaints are not geared to the security portion of ADT, rather the customer support.

ADT is horrible. Stay away!
ADT is horrible. Don’t use them! We had multiple incidents that our alarm system went off in the middle of the night or at 3am. It was saying “FIRE”, and there were no fire. This happened multiple times and we complained about it. It took them more than a month to fix it, but after few weeks it happened again. They won’t let us cancel our service even though they said there’s 6 month trial period. We tried to cancel it but they said they will try to fix it first. and guess what, they charged us for the installation and service charge for the equipment malfunction as if it is our fault. The regional manager said he will waive the fee and will give us credit, but he is not answering our email. don’t use this company, it’s horrible! HORRIBLE SERVICE!

I just tried calling to schedule an appointment for that upgrade that they need to do for the communication system. I got one of the most rudest costumer services ppl on the phone. At this point I'm realizing that you can't even report these ppl. I will be looking to change me security services elsewhere!

I had my system installed a few weeks…
I had my system installed a few weeks ago on 2/12. I was sold on the system by a walk up agent going door to door in my new community. He only reviewed the highest package of $63.99 with me and in the moment I assumed that was "the" package. I noticed recently that there is a lower package and being that I work from home 24/7, it would make more sense for me to drop down to that rate or cancel all together. I don't ever set the alarm since I'm home, but I like the cameras. I've spoken to ADT and Safewise and was told I only had 3 days to call and make any changes and now I'm locked in for 3 years for an expensive system that I only use the cameras for. I was never told about the 3 day deal and I don't find that long enough to decide on a system either. The system is nice, but the sales people don't need to be sharks and place people on the most expensive plan. Not to mention the gentlemen that came out to install the system took 4 hours to install 2 cameras and then continued to try and sell me more product that I already declined with the sales agent. So basically after 3 days nothing can be done and I'm locked in for 3 years with a system I realized within a few weeks isn't necessary for me.

I had ADT services at a previous home…
I had ADT services at a previous home that ADT installed. I moved. When I called them to transfer the service to my new house, ADT stated that they could not install the system but that I had to use their new Lifesheid system and I would not be charged for the remainder of my contract NOR would my contract date extend since Blue is an ADT company. LIE! I was charged $947 for the remainder of my contract and the new contract was for 3 years! It took me forever to get the money back but Blue is keeping me in new 3 year contract. I chose them because they were connected and recommended by USAA. This is a horrible company to do business with. When I tried to cancel my service, I kept getting transfer into a voicemail. After about 5 calls, I got someone who said they had no record of me ever calling. So frustrating. As soon as my contract is over I will never use this company again for the main reason is that they do not tell the truth to their customers by saying one thing verbally but doing something completely different. I wish USAA would severe their ties with ADT and find another home security system to do recommend to military families to do business with.
