The worst security ever!!!
If I could give them no star I would. They have been more of a problem when it it comes to security than a service. And the worst part is they keep charging and charging and when you try to cancel they put you on hold for three years. They are the predator, the fire and the reason why first responders do not show up. Faulty sensors!!

Home IS NOT secure in spite of promises!
Home IS NOT secure. I am leaving two stars as our sales rep did try to assist us but was unable to. We signed a three year contract at $79.00/month with the promise our home would be FULLY secure. However, our 2 Liftmaster garage door units are not compatible with ADT. They are good units and work fine and we had even added an access point in garage so WiFi is very solid. They did try but said it cannot be done unless I spend $1,000 plus on new garage door openers. Had I known this I would have not used ADT or signed a three year contract. Many calls and best I got was a referral to “Retention” dept. which is another word for “collections.” I was told I had a contract and could cancel only if I paid all of the remaining contract off in full. 34 months X $79.00. ADT simply did not care my two garage doors and side entry are not secure! They simply do not care. Unfortunate that the oldest and largest Home Security company is the USA is, in my case at least, not willing to secure my home as promised.

Run from these people
Run from these people, unless you can work on the system yourself! They sure will not help! Have been with them about nine years and they sure are not the company they used to be! I would need more space than this to tell all of the problems we have had! I wanted them to replace my CO2, smoke detector. They refused! It is now 10 years old, and it says on the back to replace every ten years. They DO NOT CARE ABOUT YOU AND YOUR SAFETY, JUST REMEMBER THAT! That Is Just My Opinion but is what they have turned out to be now! They have partnered with GOOGLE, Buyer Beware! Unfortunately, they Signed us to 3 More years, and they gave us a Google Door Camera That Does Not Charge UP? There has got to be a more PROFESSIONAL COMPANY OUT THERE THAN THEM! I am NOT Joking That ADT DOES NOT CARE ABOUT YOU! Just My OPINION!!!!!

Alarm has went off 2 times at night…
Alarm has went off 2 times at night since I got system installed, which was 3 weeks ago. No one was trying to break in the front door sensor was/is faulty. Happened at night and scared me to death. Police came once. Both times false alarm. ADT does not work after 4:00 pm, so they expect you to take time off work to accommodate them. Absolutely horrible experience. Shop around. I have no trust in ADT.

I was with ADT for 25 years
I was with ADT for 25 years. RUN! They use stall tactics when you try to terminate your contract. On the phone for 1 hour. I gave them a two week notice because I sold my house faster than I thought. They charged me a 30 day termination fee. I will never use them again, not an honest company.

ADT is the worst, my advice DO NOT USE THEM! The rep never told us about a contract, then they put us with Wisenet to have access, then when we ask who is Wisenet they could explain. Their cameras are constantly disabled, right now I have 4 of 16 cameras down. The absolute worst for security!

Rudest Customer Service Ever & Thievery
After 5 years of “service” with ADT, including purchasing equipment through their Custom Home for over $3K, and $75/ month monitoring, the representatives are the rudest. We are moving to a new house, and instead of working with you, they put you on hold for over an hour, demand that you give a 30 days notice, and then force you to pay yet another full monthly bill BEYOND that 30 days. No wonder all these reviews show up.

Adt fraudulent billing.
Let the consumers beware of adt fraudulent billing after termination of service with the company. I have been with adt for over 8 years. I terminated my service and auto billing May 30. Adt auto billed my account for another 2 months in advance without providing a single day of service. I complained this fraudulent billing to their billing department. However, they refused to credit my account back for the fraudulent billing for unprovided service. I was left with no other choice but dispute the fraudulent billing with my bank. I do not recommend adt to consumers looking for honest and reliable home security services.

ADT made it impossible to cancel
For the last two years, our ADT alarm hasn't worked. when we had a technician come in, he said that our system was old and the sensors needed to be replaced. The technician also said we'd been overcharged as they hadn't reflected a new pricing plan for us. So I tried to cancel, which you can only do on the phone. I did the call back option, and when they called back I was on hold for 30 minutes before giving up which was clearly their strategy. They are a terrible, abusive company. Don't work with them!

Beware of Safe Haven/ADT with DR Horton – Deceptive and Misleading Experience If you're considering working with Safe Haven through a DR Horton community, run in the opposite direction. My experience has been nothing short of a nightmare. I moved into a new DR Horton neighborhood (Stonehill), excited about my first home purchase. During the process, a representative from Safe Haven approached me, claiming to be recommended by DR Horton. Based on that trust, I agreed to a $50/month ADT home monitoring service. What I wasn’t told until it was too late: 1. A $1,000 charge for equipment installation – completely undisclosed until after installation. 2. A 36-month contract with ADT – not Safe Haven – including automatic renewal and a steep $1,800 cancellation fee. I only discovered these details after I had already signed, under pressure, and without a clear explanation. I couldn’t afford the $1,000 upfront, so the technician set up a 3-month installment plan. When my final payment didn’t go through (due to a banking issue), I received an email from Safe Haven stating they referred me to collections – claiming they had tried to reach me, which they hadn’t. Now, I’m stuck in a long-term contract with expensive monthly fees and dealing with unnecessary financial stress – all from a service I was misled into. This experience has completely soured what should have been a joyful milestone in my life. Avoid Safe Haven at all costs, and be cautious of any “recommended” vendors by DR Horton. Ask questions, read everything, and don’t let anyone pressure you into signing anything on the spot.

Horrible Customer Service - Do NOT recommend this company
I had a complete security system installed and there were many mistakes made when installed, not the least of which was that the main control panel didn't work at all. When I made ADT come out and fix it, they broke the control panel for my HVAC system which I've been battling them to get fixed. They have provided HORRIBLE customer service, not the least of which is trying to charge me for the visit to come out and fix the control panel that was not working since its initial installation. I could write a book on all the issues I've had thus far and the horrible customer service they provide, but I will limit my comments to the foregoing. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY.

ADT is horrible! They added charges to my acct that I have no idea where they came from. CS will not help they don't care and basically seem to be unable to do anything, DON'T use them unless you interested in a company that only care about getting your money and adding charges that aren't yours.

ZERO
ZERO, ZERO, ZERO. Do NOT get ADT. Issues with their service was constant. They never send out their techs to resolve problems with their product, instead they make YOU try to fix it and you end up losing your time doing their job. Do yourself a favor and buy one of those cheap Chinese cameras instead they do better job and they are thousands of dollars cheaper.

If I could rate a ZERO I would
If I could rate a ZERO I would. HORRIBLE company and I would not recommend anyone utilizing their services. I was completely lied to and misled on the phone and by the representative regarding cost and pricing only to find out 2 weeks later it was much much much more than I was verbally told. When I attempted to cancel I was told they were going to be charging me over $3K cancellation fee (one I will not be paying). I literally have had their services for 2 weeks and they are unable to cancel after lying about the costs...completely unethical business practice!

Customer Service is horrible
Customer Service is horrible. I called to change the name on my account. I was transferred 5 times after providing the same information each time. It took over an hour. The representative said a tech would call me to complete the change. It would take 3 mins. The tech called. It was going to be a 1 to 1 1/2 hr process. This is not the first time I have experienced something like this. Last time was in March to cancel service on a house that sold. Four transfers and the rep hung up on me when I asked a question. Bye bye ADT.

Quick update for context of how bad ADT is. 1. Ordered a battery for a motion sensor. (Can't get it back together as it is very old.) 2. Called for service and the service guy changed it, over charged me, but its not fixed on the alarm panel. 3. Let the tech use my bathroom and suddenly I have a bathroom tamper message that will not go away even after being on the phone with them at 1am for a longtime. 4. Was promised I would get a call and a senior tech would be at my house on Monday. 5. Sunday I called you and there is no appointment set, I was told to hold on and you hung up on me and never called back. 6.Monday I call and they want to send someone out in a few days.. ( I was told a manager would call me in ten minutes. Still nothing!) Moving on from a company that lies, over charges and hangs up on it's customers.

We decided to hire ADT after our home was burglarized, hoping to regain a sense of safety and security. Unfortunately, our experience with ADT has been a constant source of frustration, anxiety, and disappointment. From the start, their service failed us in multiple ways. Technician appointments were frequently missed or rescheduled without our consent, causing us to take time off work repeatedly. The alarm system and sensors regularly malfunctioned, triggering false alarms—including one that involved the police—causing unnecessary stress and disruption. The ADT app and website showed conflicting information, making it difficult to know if our home was actually secure. We made countless calls to ADT customer service, spending hours explaining our problems. Despite all this, the core issues were never fully addressed. Eventually, we sent a formal cancellation letter outlining all these failures, yet ADT refused to cancel without charging a hefty fee. Most disappointing of all is their so-called 6-month money-back guarantee, which ADT refuses to honor. They claim the guarantee depends on following a specific process, but that process is impossible to meet when technicians miss appointments and customer service drops your calls. It feels like a fake promise designed to avoid refunding customers who have legitimate grievances. Instead of feeling protected, we feel trapped in a costly contract with a company that clearly does not care about delivering quality service or standing behind its promises. We urge anyone considering ADT to think twice and carefully research other options before committing.

I’ve had my camera repositioned and it is not been repositioned properly. I can’t get any help with this without being charged. I’m not pleased with this service Now it’s even worse I can’t get the security code on my email to add my daughter on. If employees could do a good job like Joshua Simpson it would be be better company

The Most Horrible Company I’ve Ever…
The Most Horrible Company I’ve Ever Dealt With – Do Not Trust ADT I’ve never felt so deceived and taken advantage of by a company in my life. As a single mother with a demanding job and real safety concerns, I reached out to ADT looking for peace of mind. I explained my situation — someone in my community had been leaving gifts and notes on my porch, and I needed a reliable home security system. What I got instead was a nightmare. The corporate rep I spoke to assured me that I’d receive equipment and installation included for just $47/month. He told me I’d only be charged more if I chose to add additional cameras, and I’d have 30 days to cancel with a full refund if I wasn’t satisfied. Based on that, I scheduled installation for 4:30 PM — the latest slot available according to him — because I work weekdays 8 to 5. But almost immediately, everything started going wrong. The very next day, I was bombarded with emails and texts saying the techs would come in the morning, then afternoon, but never at the time I set. When I called to fix the issue, I was told they don’t even offer 4:30 appointments, and that 4 PM was their latest. Then, I saw on my existing doorbell camera that techs were at my home at 11 AM — again, no notice, and no permission. After calling again, they promised to come back after their last job that day. I had to leave work early, rush through getting ready for a prior commitment, and let them in under stress. Fast forward three weeks later, and I finally log in to my account only to discover a charge of nearly $3,000. Everything I was told — the monthly cost, the cancellation terms, the included equipment — was a complete lie. When I tried to cancel, I was told I’d owe a $2,000 cancellation fee, plus 75% of the equipment cost, and the remaining account balance. This was not what I agreed to, and when I brought this up, ADT admitted that the way the technician wrote the contract made it look like I called them out and requested a bunch of extras — completely misrepresenting what was supposed to be a basic package based on my original conversation. They do not care about what their representatives promised or what the customer was told. They just want your money. They trick you into a binding contract with shady tactics and then trap you with ridiculous fees if you try to get out of it — even if you were misled from day one. Please, do not trust ADT. They sold me false security, both literally and figuratively. I feel angry, violated, and helpless — and I want others to know the truth before falling into the same trap.

ADT is the worst! Expensive, customer service focus is non existent, contracts for everything, just horrible. I had ADT for 30 plus years as a home owner, and 6 years as a renter and when I cancelled, due to a move, they required more than 30 days advanced notice and charged a cancellation fee, etc., etc. Now I have RING which is $20/month vs $50 + with ADT. And after all that, they had the nerve to try to sign me up at my new home.......amazing!

I’ve been having an issue with a bad…
I’ve been having an issue with a bad key pad and they have sent a tech out several times. First he changed the radio in the key pad per it not communicating properly. Than they had him come back and change the WiFi setting . Mind you I’m having my sleep interrupted all night while they go through all this test this check this change this. Finally the tech states if whatever they had him do don’t work than he’ll have come back and replace the keypad. Well guess what still having the beeping issue due to the keypad communication issues. But now they don’t have an opening until Monday and it’s Thursday. Wow so I have to be inconvenienced all Mother’s Day weekend to get a tech back out here to do what he should have done in the first place. I can’t wait until this contract is up so that I can go somewhere that take care of their customers and not give them a run around. DON’T GET THIS SERVICE GO SOMEWHERE ELSE AND GET A SECURITY SYSTEM. Been with to long to be treated this way. Oh and I can’t speak with a supervisor, the have to be emailed and than the response waiting time is 24 to 48 hours. SMH
