I worked for ADT by Telus , very Bad company they are always hiring, treat people poorly, never paid my Bonus , I worked and gain that bonus , guess what ,they take advantage of clients when they are ignorant of their right in brief not a good company to deal with . New client has better deal , they only care if you want to leave them ,bad very bad company, run it will save your time , energy, money . If the client have an old system ( landline ) and it doesn’t work , they will never take time to call other phone number to inform the client , yet they will keep taking your payment . Run 🏃🏃🏃🏃🏃

Horrible experience
Horrible experience! 3 years of on time payments and you can’t cancel my service with a 25 day notice. Charge me. I don’t care but I sold the house and the new owner is in the house. You cannot help me every time I call and tell me there are no schedules. That is wrong there is! I am so embarrassed to deal with this until the 31st because you can’t cancel! No one told me to pull out the battery. They said to just go in test mode. I was going to use you at my née house. Canceling my appointment in the morning. No more!

The mystery contract again
The mystery contract again! Yes it is true, Adt charged me to close my account because they said I signed a new contract. I never did this, the signature on the copy they emailed me was my signature. I was a loyal customer for ten years. I will burn in hell before I will use ADT again.

The tech that was here the last time…
The tech that was here the last time explained why our system is not working. We do not have the Verizon 5 signal strength to have it function. Period. In the middle of the night I had the fire company to my door. I am tired of paying $50 a month for something hanging on the wall that does not function. That's another point of contention, the original contract stated $39 and change per month. I want to cancel this ADT. Their response your under contract if you cancel you will pay us a $1000. What about the $2500 I put out to install this system. Something the fail tell you until the installer comes. Their solution they are sending a tech out to vertify the same thing the first tech stated. Their customer service is the worst 24 minutes just waiting for a human voice. I give ADT zero stars. They are only it for the money not their customers

Where do I begin?
Where do I begin? From an installer who started getting dressed in my driveway, didn't install things properly, and change the codes so other installers couldn't access the panel (like a psycho, perverted lowlife would do!), to the useless customer service personnel who either don't have a proper phone line, barely know English, or simply can't do their job. The app also doesn't work which makes their whole system worthless!! I have been a customer for years (I had this new system installed from a previous residence) and once Telus took over it's been a nightmare of morons and perverts!

ADT surprise charges, gouging
I was a customer of ADT for 15 years. I decided to cancel my service because it had become so expensive. Upon cancellation I was informed that I needed to provide 30-days advance notice, so my charges were extended 30 days beyond when I wanted the service to stop. I pleaded with multiple people for this to be waived but they wouldn't do it.

Horrible experience
Horrible experience, very bad customer service, impossible to reach out. They charge 75% even within 3 days they say you can cancel without penalty.

Super disappointed already
Super disappointed already. We just got our security system installed and had a total of 16 sensors and glass breaks that were supposed to be installed. However we got 2 less sensors but we are still being charged. While being told we would also have access via mobile app to arm and disarm the alarm as well as a keychain. So at this point we are in my opinion overpaying, haven't received our keychains and have to pay extra for the mobile app. The icing on the cake is it seems we have faulty sensors. We keep getting false alarms with multiple sensors randomly going off including the glass break. I'm just sincerely disappointed and we haven't even made the first payment yet.

If I could get rid of this contract I…
If I could get rid of this contract I would in a heart beat. But sadly I can’t get out of it until February 2022 (meaning they renewed my contract without my permission) or they want $2,000 and something dollars. I pay for something so expensive for it to never work. It’s one thing after another and they don’t care about the actual service you get just the money they get every time your payment is due.

ADT = absolute nightmare. STAY AWAY!!
ADT has been an absolute nightmare from day one. Nothing ever works the way it is supposed to. It is VERY expensive and I am essentially paying for a glorified key lock. The reason we got roped into signing a contract (one of the biggest mistakes we've ever made) was because we didn't want to give keys to the house out to workers, dog walkers, etc. Every time we try to create a user code, it says "synchronizing" and never works. So instead, for the first few months, we get a phone call from the person saying their code doesn't work so we have to remotely unlock/disarm. My husband and I both work full time, so eventually we were just forced to give out our master code as it is the only one that works.... which is no different than giving out a key. That is just one example of the issues we've had. Every time I have called ADT they are absolutely useless. They refuse to refund me for MONTHS of payments for a service that doesn't work (or, worse, they say they will and then don't) and refuse to let me out of the contract . They don't hold up their end of the contract as their product doesn't work, but I am expected to uphold my, very expensive, end. I am so profoundly disappointed with this service and the customer service that has been provided (or lack thereof) throughout. I have been warning anyone and everyone I know to NEVER get ADT. Counting down the days until the contract expires.

8 sensors + 2 Keychains for FREE promised- only got 5 - RIP OFF!
Just moved into my new home. Got an advertisment in the mail where they promised 8 sensors + 1 Keychain for FREE - I called and they confirmed that on the phone- even "trew in" a second Keychain for free.... On installation day I only got 5 sensors and no keychain. They wanted to charge me for everything else! And even told me that they usually only give 2 sensors for free and I should be lucky to even get 5! TOTALLY RIP OFF!

Worst customer service ever and…
Worst customer service ever and equipment did not work for over a year. I have been trying to cancel my account for 3 months. Customer service and account management has been giving me the run around just transferring me to separate departments without handling the actual problem. They were so desperate to keep me as a customer they offered me free services which I declined because of the misrepresentation of services provided. I will never use ADT again.

ADT SALES HARASSING ME PLEASE STOP
I have absolutely been overwhelmed with emails and phone call's since calling ADT for informa. tion. IT'S BEEN AN AVALANCHE OF HARASSMENT. I have unsubscribed for a month on their emails and I am still bombarded with them..sometimes 3-4 daily! I asked several times when calling ADT to speak to a supervisor to assist me in stopping the harassment. The rep REFUSED! I CALLED 3 TIMES THEY ALL REFUSED. WITHIN HOURS I RECEIVED A CALL FROM A SALES REP. I will be contacting my state governor's off for assistance

I have had ADT for over 25 years and…
I have had ADT for over 25 years and have been happy up till 5 years ago they had gotten very sloppy and unprofessional with customer service, my system is older but still works, if I get a glitch customer service has a hard time helping me I think they are just not educated on the field, as far as the billing goes it’s a nightmare from hell I go one week late they call everyday two times a day, I talked to supervisor over this and she said they would not do it again but it started back up a month later, I have another home and installed Simpisafe and it’s the best investment I ever made within the next few weeks I will be getting rid of adt and going to SimpliSafe in this home too after 25 years they are not the old adt anymore they are the worst company to honestly deal with, thank god we have options now and stay out of the contracts it’s easy to cancel then

I wish I could give ADT zero stars! They truly do not care about their customers. Much like mobile or cable providers, they are all about getting new customers. They do not give a rat's @$$ about existing customers. Do yourself a favor and do not go with ADT!

DONT DO IT!!!!
September 9, 2020 i reached out to ADT for services to be installed in my home due to receiving a promotion card in the mail. We went over what equipment I would be receiving and I even added on a Ring doorbell to the service. The customer service rep assured me that if i didnt want the equipment installed my payment of $157.99 would go directly back on my card and would only be charged as a hold. Well needless to say the installer came out with the wrong equipment and my deposit did not go directly back on my card. Initially the refund went from being 3-5 business days. Well here I am 19 days later and still no refund. Everytime I talk to someone its a different story where the last excuse was my pending refund was kicked out of the system on the 16th of October now i have to wait another 14 days. These people are liars and con artists, go figure and they are supposed to be a security company. Going forward i have filed a dispute with my bank and purchased Ring doorbells from Best Buy!!!!! Run as fast as you can from this company. My next stop is the BBB.

The Worst Company I Have Ever Dealt With
We signed up for ADT about a year ago when we first moved into our new home. Being a military family, with a spouse who is frequently away, we wanted extra peace of mind by having a security system. Within the first few months of having the service our car was broken into and the cameras never recorded the event like they were supposed to. Then our air conditioner panel wires started to burn and caused smoke build up within our house. The "special smoke detector" they installed never went off and never alerted the fire department like it was supposed to. Then we decided to go with a different security provider after those 2 incidents and the security panel was removed from the wall and the alarm never went off and they never called us to check on us like you would have expected them too. Then we battled with their customer service for 2 months trying to cancel our service. They kept giving us the run around and incorrect invoices of our remaining balance when our contract clearly stated that we would only owe 75% of our remaining balance even if we canceled before our contract was up. After two months of battling, we finally received the corrected invoice and paid it in full, only for them to charge us again the following month because they never actually canceled our service. I have never been so disgusted and displeased with a service in my life. They take advantage of their customers and have a completely outdated system that is not reliable at all. I would not recommend this company to anyone!

For 11 years we used ADT For our business. And as long as you didn't want them to make any changes It was ok. If you try to make changes they would say we will send someone but nobody would show up. As my business expanded I tried to get them to add more Entry sensors they wanted a new contract The building was connected by a doorway it was the same building. Then after 11 years of paying these clowns when I finally decided to close my business After all was said and done this sent me another bill Telling nailed him for another 2 months because I didn't notify them soon enough. I wouldn't recommend using these clowns for anything there liars scumbags and thieves. Ps I am not going to reach out to you this shouldn't have happened in the 1st place it will be more of a waste of my time If you want to make it right train your Salesman to not treat your customers like crap Once they have signed a contract.Thanks anyway.

Do not work with ADT. Their customer representatives tell lies and their departments do not communicate. They state there is a 6 month satisfaction guarantee but that’s actually a lie. ADT blue does not communicate with the other security system. Will charge you for equipment then cancellation fees and refuse to pull the transcript of the lies they state. Beware.

We have been ADT customers for 17 years. If I could give negative rating ADT would get -10. A couple of weeks ago we had a tech come out and upgrade our system to have cameras outside. When the tech showed up he said "this is like a 4 hour job here". While he was here he changed out the keypads and left the system off. He told us he could not put the cameras on because our system was old and he would have to comeback. We rescheduled for a tech to come out last week and they never showed up. No call or anything from ADT to let us know the tech won't becoming. Now today we are waiting again for a tech to come and they are a no show again. Very frustrating. ADT has some of the worst customer service i have ever seen. We will be having to look for a different home security system. Bye-Bye ADT.

What a horrible initial experience…
What a horrible initial experience which is clearly evident in the 85% negative reviews of this company. I took out a contract with ADT almost 2 weeks ago. I felt a bit pressured (my fault for not standing my ground) and decided the next day, after speaking with verisure and simplisafe to find out how to cancel my contract with ADT. I called and was transferred at least 4 times, eventually spoke with someone who said he had cancelled it and I would get an email confirming and my refund as per the 14 day cool off period. No email, no refund so I called again days later. After several transfers I was told the contract had NOT been cancelled, however the person I spoke with said they would cancel. I asked for guarantee this would be done this time round and was told again that I would get an email confirming 48 hours later. Yet again no email or refund. I called AGAIN, this time I got confirmation verbally that the account had been cancelled. I asked about my refund and then was asked if I had requested that. Apparently I had to send an email requesting refund despite the fact I had withdrawn from the contract. Sent an email, no response. Called and was given a totally different email address, to ask for my refund as per their cancellation policy, I am yet to hear back from this company. 13 days into my 14 days cool off period, no email confirming it has been cancelled as per my multiple requests, no indication of when I will get a refund either. Very disappointed in ADT.
My ADT was installed on Friday, 10/16/2020.  I have been on the phone since Saturday with them due to issues. Today, I am requesting my service be canceled, disconnected, discontinued due to several issues, to include, but not limited to, as follows: -I requested 4 cameras, tech would only install 2. -Due to only having 2 cameras and pool/patio enclosure back yard view is limited and one side is not viewable.  And front camera does not cover entire front area. -Tech rushed through explaining how to access online services and use of panel so I am at a loss on how to use it. When I asked him to explain it slowly he said I could access the online manual. -Tech left yard gate open, after I explained one dog is deaf. I was unaware tech left fence gate open. After Tech completed job and went to vehicle I took dogs out (they had been in bathroom several hours to avoid distracting tech). I took dogs outside in fenced yard and deaf dog ran through open gate, 4 houses up street and I had to run after him. He could have been run over by a vehicle. -Tech left screws in kitchen floor, garage where we park car, and in yard. -Tech left wire clippings in yard where dogs run/play. -Other miscellaneous issues including, but not limited to: confusion in scheduling/appts, phone disconnecton, rude customer service, etc.  -And every person I spoke to by phone gave me very different instructions on how to cancel sevices.  One account manager said I could send letter by email to another adt email address.  I called to confirm receipt of email and gentleman I spoke to gave me another address. One manager saud I could email request, another said it had to be handwritten. I was on phone Saturday and today with ADT. I called ADT Saturday and was on phone for 1 1/2 hours with 3 individuals.  I called again today and was on the phone from 3:05pm until 5:25pm.  I was put through to 6 or more individuals today.  Due to all of these issues I have been very upset and am experiencing anxiety.  If this is how a security system/agency operates under normal circumstances I fear that if an emergency arises your system would fail to protect my home and my family.

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. DIFFICULTY TO CANCEL.
After my contract expired and changing my home phone provider to internet my system was not connected since late May. I tried to upgrade and keep the service but after numerous phone calls where I had to wait 1-2 hours to be connected to customer service just to be transferred somewhere else and disconnected altogether afterwards and After no-show, no -phone call technician appointments I e- mailed them and cancelled the account in August. Keep in mind I was paying for the service since May without even having the service. Now I got the invoice that I have to pay for October. When I called and again waited 55 minutes to be connected I was told I can cancel now but I have to pay until November, because they need 30 days notice. He didn’t care about my reference number for my cancelation e- mail I sent in August. I am lost for words how horrible that company became. I was with them for over 10 years and had all the intentions to keep going but the way they treat people is just unacceptable. Please people beware before doing any business with them.
