RENTERS DO NOT GET ADT/TELUS SYSTEM!!!! They tie you in a three year contract and if you have to move, they tell you are in breach of the contract and have to pay 75% of the remaining contract and buy new equipment. IT IS A SCAM!!!!

Decorate around a sensor or be hit by a massive bill
We removed a sensor so we could decorate at my office. They charged us £275 to remove it and £373 to come and put it back up. I honestly can't believe it am dumnfounded. The invoice even states that the engineer was here for 57 minutes. £373 for 57 minutes work! Absolute rip off.

Bad, liars, and unethical
Bad. They contacted me unsolicited as I was buying a house to sell me a security system. They told me there was a special deal that I needed to commit to on the phone, and lied to my face about it. Turns out their "phone only deal" is their regular package. It's on their website. When I said I wanted to shop around the "manager" said I was not being smart and that "I was on the phone with the best so why look anywhere else". After an hour of being harassed, I asked him to please respect my decision, and if its the best I'll be back. He was rude, short, and treated me poorly the rest of the call. Go elsewhere. Best or not, I don't want liars, cheats, and unethical people watching my home.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS
My experience keeps getting better with ADT. I contracted their services at the beginning of August. By early September the alarm still did not function correctly. It never held the cellular signal and would constantly beep to alert me that it was not currently connected. Well over 20 hours of phone contact and technicians at the house and the alarm was unable to be fixed. After trying to settle the issue by giving me some P.O.S. system straight out of the 1990's, they agreed to void my contract because they couldn't uphold their contractual obligations. I then get a bill for services they never even rendered. Better still, while the technician is working on fixing the system, he sets the alarm off leading to the police showing up during installation and now I'm on the hook for the $50 false alarm fee with the city even though it's ADT's incompetence that led to tripping the alarm.

Horrible customer service
Horrible customer service. Representative actually committed fraud on signing us up for service. Wasted hours upon hours trying to fix situation but never was successful. Lost so much money. Corrupt company.

Expensive and horrible service
Poor internet pages without the possibility to edit the emergency contacts and the worst: it is impossible to reach them by phone because they provide false contact numbers and do not answer emails.

They gave an offer for 27.99$/month and they make you sign the contract. Bill arives and you see a charge of 54.99$. When you call customer service they tell its 54.99$ and issue doesn't be addressed.

ADT Shannon Morris Thank You
I am writing this review after a shocking week of engineers not turning up to appointments . All week I have stayed in daily to await their arrival. I have spoken to most staff in Mancheater customer service. Today I called again.... and today finally I spoke to a smart intelligent lady , who remained calm despite me shouting and generally being a fed up angry ADT customer. Shannon Morris is by far the only person in the customer service team who knows how to get problems fixed. Her knowledge was far superior to anyone else I had spoken to. She had a very professional outlook and wanted a resolution. She assured me an engineer was on his way within the hour. So if this happens this lady needs a well done some praise and appreciation. Dare I suggest allow her to run the customer service centre. Thank you Shannon. XxX

Absolute garbage and a rip off
Absolute garbage and a rip off, take your money literally ANYWHERE ELSE, we are moving into a new home, they design the equipment so that it doesn’t “move” so you’re stuck paying for equipment at a house you don’t even live in!!! Worst part is we asked them before purchase and they said we would be “happy” to help you move! Absolute Garbage

If I could do zero stars I would ! Adt is awful and they lie about prices and when you try to cancel due to losing your job during covid they do not give any help and continue to keep billing. Please don't get adt they are horrible.

The worst type of company
Could not agree more with the thousands of people sharing their awful experiences with this company. I have been waiting over a month for a deposit to be returned after choosing not to proceed with ADT after seeing their awful contracts. A culture of always someone else's fault, lies and selling based on fear. A truly dreadful company and one the world would be better without. I cannot encourage anyone more to have a look around at local companies - they are cheaper, friendlier and have much better offerings.

Adt is not a good security company they charge too much per mo th make you sign a 3 year contract and if you cancel it due to moving or anything they charge you pretty much for the rest of your contract even though you aren't getting any service

If I could give this Rating a ZERO I would. 1 star is being generous. I’ve bin with this company for over 20 yrs since it was Voxcom. Voxcom was always good to me & over the yrs I hadn’t really paid much attention to who took it over tbh. I’ve dealt with some bad customer service in my life but ADT is hands down the champ now. I have a list as long as my arm that I could write about but I’m not interested in writing a journal & wasting any more of my time on these morons. They are crooks & extremely shady. After sitting on hold for 2.5 hrs tonight I finally got through to the loyalty department. The lady tried to treat me like I was stupid & offering me things that I know are already included in the packages. I said I’m not interested & I want to cancel my services. She said let me try to get my manager on the phone to chat with you. After she put me on hold for another half hr I hear a message all of a sudden say we are now closed for the day & if you would like to speak to an ADT representative pls call back during regular business hrs Lol. Then they hung up on me. So 3 hrs on the phone to basically get hung up on & got absolutely nothing done. God forbid a supervisor call me back right away to say oh sorry that happened & do what most companies that care about there customers would do. Nope. Without question the worst customer service I’ve EVER encountered. My next call will be to the BBB. I am beyond disgusted with this joke of a company & after reading all these other similar reviews & experiences from others confirms my thoughts. Crazy how the government allows this company to get away with stealing money for services not received by the customer. I’m definitely going to contact whoever I can to do something about outing this pathetic company. Not sure why people haven’t filed a class action law suit against these crooks tbh. ANYONE WHO READS THIS STAY AWAY. ADT CUSTOMER SERVICE ALONE WILL MAKE YOU REGRET EVER DOING BUSINESS WITH THESE CROOKS!!!

Safe Haven&ADT = bad customer service
Safe Haven and ADT have some of the Worst customer support I have ever seen. On average I have been on hold for 15 -30 minutes. Their tech support never showed up or called after I waited on the phone for honestly 30 minutes to set up the appointment. They very rude for treating customers this way. As soon as I find a better deal I leaving this rude and unprofessional company.

They never showed up on two appointments to convert from 2G to 5G. on hold for hours and hours. Not sure if they are still in business or going out of business. I cannot even get to cancel my services. No one answers.

Very dissatisfied with my ADT Camera
Very dissatisfied with my ADT Camera. With a company like ADT you would think they would have a Excellent Hi Tech surveillance camera. Not the case. My wife has called ADT to inquire about a better camera. When the technician arrived he had the exact same camera that we have on our home now from ADT. He informed my wife this was the only camera that they supplied. The whole idea of the surveillance camera is to see who’s coming to your front door and leaving your front door. This camera does neither. It picks up the delivery truck coming down the street. We never see who delivers the packages or do we see them walking away from our home nor do we see the truck pulling away. People walking down the street, you may see them walking by the house but you’ll never see them on the return trip. And we live on a dead-end street. So you tell me is this the kind of camera that you would wants for surveillance of your home. Do not waste your money on installing this camera from ADT. We just purchased the RING camera awesome, Highly Recommended. Come on ADT don’t you think it’s about Time to upgrade to a more Sophisticated Camera.

Bad and getting worse
Bad and getting worse. Have been an ADT customer for over 25 years but as soon as we upgraded to pulse it went downhill. Generally, somewhere between 50-100 alerts for cameras going offline - DAILY. Hi end mesh WiFi, Gig speed broadband. Too numerous to count tech visits, replaced gateways, added boosters, reset this, reset that, blame our WiFi (that works for everything else), even telling us we have too many cameras (7 - which adt happily sold us and installed without indicating that we were passing some unwritten limit). The software is antiquated. Have to physically reset the gateway every day, no option to reset remotely. Can’t wait for this contract to end.

Massively disappointed in ADT - think twice before signing any agreement. Had CCTV installed over a month ago
Had CCTV installed over a month ago. Good Equipment however the software ,Concept Pro to support it is dreadful, constantly buffering and you can’t look at any recorded history. Very disappointed in the lack of customer service in trying to get support of this product. I also had their camera door bell installed, however, every time it rings the buffering on my phone takes so long that the person has already left. So again complete waste of money as it doesn’t work correctly. The software app on my iPhone doesn’t support it correctly or allow it to work properly. I have fibre to the home, so my internet speeds are high, should ADT try to say it is because of this, as it isn’t! I Do not recommend any ADT products until they can sort out their supporting app software.

ADT took advantage of me.
This review begins when I purchased my first home. Got a advertisement in the mail from ADT and out of interest called the number, spoke with someone on the phone and they told me they would send someone to my house to tell me about the product and service, so I said sure. This turned out to be a terrible mistake. The person they sent came over and we discussed prices and packages and I told him I was not interested due to the options with free hardware due to a special at the time did not include cameras. I told the man I was interested in the home camera monitoring aspect and not the rest, I nicely told him sorry no thank you and that he could leave. He didn’t seem to fond of that and called his supervisor and shortly after told me they would include the cameras for the house for free and that they would record 24/7, I very clearly asked him multiple times if they record 24/7 and if I could look back at anytime to see what events happened. He said yes and there would be a website I could login to and look at the 24/7 recording. I said sure and he got to work installing things. He was not able to finish the installation that day and went ahead and made me sign the contract and told me I would have a couple days to cancel if I changed my mind. Fast forward to when he comes back and he finished the job, no big deal there. The day after I went to work my. 24 hour shift in EMS and quickly discovered that these cameras did not record 24/7 at all. They only recorded a 30 second clip of they thought they detected motion. This is not what I had been told at all. That is not 24/7 recording. I attempted to call back to cancel the service but they said since I signed the first time he came when he didn’t even finish the installation that was the start date they were going with so evidently my trial period was before he even finished the whole installation. Throughout all my dealings with this company I have felt nothing but taken advantage of, lied to, deceived, and will never trust this company. I hope all of you reading this will stay away from this company. They have locked me into a contract through lying to me. Anytime I have tried calling to explain what happened they simply say we will get back to you and I have never heard from them. Please stay away from ADT.

Customer service SUCKS, recieved an alarm call and NO police arrived! What good is an alarm company with no other service??? Does me a lot of good when I'm 500 miles away🤬 Also to get a live person on the phone is next to impossible!!

Terrible company. I’ve called FOUR times to cancel my service since I am moving and apparently I can’t take the equipment with me. I was told to sign a new contract which would cancel out the old. No problem. I scheduled for the technician to come out 19 September but I am still being billed for an apartment I don’t live at anymore. Every time I called, they’ve assured me that it is cancelled. Even “waived the 30 day period.” But I haven’t received any sort of confirmation email that apparently “will be sent out once the conversation is done.” Just ridiculous. I deploy soon and this is the last thing I want my wife to worry about. I’m about to cancel all around and just bite the bullet and pay off the contract that they have me Stuck in since there’s NO way I can move the services to a new address. They’re liars and crooks. I’ve told everyone I know NOT to get ADT. I will continue to do so.

If I could give 0 stars I would. I called ADT to inquire about a security system for my home. I had an in depth conversation about everything included in the package, we spoke for an hour and I asked a million questions to make sure it’s really what I wanted. It sounded like it was going to work out great - the tech was to come install 5 outdoor floodlight cameras, one doorbell camera and 4 indoor cameras, along with the basic window and door entry and motion detector. We set up an appointment for install. I asked if they could do solar floodlights instead of electrical hookup lights, and they said that it wouldn’t be a problem at all. The tech comes to my house and says that ADT does not even make floodlights of any kind and that he could only do doorbell camera, except that would not work, so he could swap it out for ONE outdoor camera with no lights. Keep in mind, the agreement was for 10 cameras! So incredibly misleading, and straight up lies. I am in disbelief with this company. This was a waste a lot of time. Horrible experience.

I’m very disappointed in this alarm…
I’m very disappointed in this alarm company. We’ve been clients for over 15 years. We decided to upgrade our system when my elderly mother moved in to make her comfortable. To our dismay this whole ordeal has been a nightmare. The technician came to home 6 hours late, for a 6 hour job. He complained the whole time and stayed on the phone. He gave every excuse why he couldn’t get the job done. I’ve called to complain 3 times no one has returned my calls. I don’t know where I even stand for someone to come back?
