Adt are unable to provide police response as calls go to a call centre and if a burglar breaks in and only stays in one room and nicks stuff no police ever get called
They would only be called by the call centre if he walked into a second room

Terrible experience with transferring ADT service to new home!
I've been an ADT customer since 2016 and have never had any major issues with service up to this point. We recently moved to a new house and contacted ADT to transfer service to the new address. The lady I spoke with on the phone was very helpful in setting up the service transfer and the technician who came out to do the install was also fairly helpful. The house had previously had an ADT system and just needed some updating, I’m still not entirely sure what we paid for as none of his quoted charges for sensors and add-ons match what we were actually billed for. I’d initially had a large credit show up on the account that the first agent told me was in regards to transferring service to the new address and signing a new 3-year commitment. About a week after install, I saw a pending charge pop up for our monthly bill of our old system. I e-mailed ADT inquiring about the charge… 48 hours later when I still had not gotten a response I followed up with a second e-mail.. 72 hours later when I STILL had not gotten a response I finally just called.
The lady I spoke with was polite and helped me resolve the charge… somehow even though I’d moved and transferred service I was still for some reason getting billed for service at the old address. She reversed the billing for the month of July and asked if there was anything else I needed. I asked what about the portion of my bill I paid for in June after I’d moved to the new address… one more minute and she refunded a prorated amount for the June period. Additionally the almost $400 credit on the account has seemingly disappeared entirely and from what I can see on my statement and bill for the new system installation doesn’t appear to have gone towards anything… I still paid for everything in the install. While my statement under amount owed still says “Credit” I’m still unclear on the charges which don’t seem to align with what I was told my monthly billing amount would be, etc.
Extremely disappointed with the poor customer service. Nearly every customer service representative and technician I've talked to has been very quick to blame someone else for the problem as opposed to actually taking accountability for the problems I've had to endure. ADT majorly dropped the ball here and I still in the dark about my billing problems. Where did my credit go? Why was I still being charged for service at my old address? In reversing the charge did you actually fix the problem or should I expect to get a bill next month as well for the old address?

My family and I moved into our new home wanting security we had AT&T digital life before, they gave me no problems I just heard ADT was the best. So I gave them a call and of course like a car salesman they drawed me in with all the free stuff. The day they come to my home nothing every free right? Well nope it wasn’t free in this case at all. The free camera you get with the plus package you have to pay $250 to get installed that day no getting added to bill. You have to pick different packages, all the camera, main box, windows and door sensors are all extra you have to pay. Well then I found a great company that came by gave me the run down on these so called ADT company it took me a day to think about it and now I’m happy with switching.

My name is Chris I just purchased a new home in Norfolk,Va. I wanted to find a good security system and didn’t know who to call. I recieved a mail flyer in the mail that said ADT so I said cool I called them up and made the order and then they were at my house the next day and installed the system. Come to find out it wasn’t even ADT it was safe streets USA authorized dealer. They installed an outdated panel that was from 2012. I went to my friends house who had a newer panel from Alarm.com which ADT and pulse is now switching over to Alarm.com I’ve been on the phone for days only to get the run around who goes into a dealership looking for a 2018 model and leave with a 2012 model the new ADT commercial says 6 month money back guarantee well I want back the $170 that safe street already took from me that company is a scam and isn’t even worth 1 star I thought because I have 2 kids in the house that my house would be protected but not with old outdated technology so please anyone looking for good security do not go with Adt and their dealer net work

On 5/7/18 I received notice of my glass…
On 5/7/18 I received notice of my glass break sensor setting off the alarm in my home. An ADT rep contacted me and I asked for law enforcement to go to the house since I was not home. I found out in the following days that no police were dispatched and the law enforcement agency assigned to my home does not cover my area. I was potentially sent into a very dangerous situation as I assumed the site had been secured when I entered it. I contacted ADT with this realization that I have been paying monthly for no police protection. I made countless calls and each time spoke to a different rep. Each of whom tried their best to make me feel as though it was my problem and accepted none of the responsibility. I was told everything from..." I was being monitored", to equipment failure " need to send a tech out", to "the police did come out, secured the situation, contacted ADT and we turned off the alarm". The reps I spoke to were rude, impatient and condescending. I feel ADT owes me eight months of $52.99 as I was paying for a service I was not receiving and my home was not protected but I would just settle for breaking my contract They said I owe 75% of the remaining contract and are turning it over to collections.

I thought I had a 2 year contract which was going to be up on May 7th. I called because I'm getting offers for $27.99 a month, my bill is for $52.78 a month. They offered me a discounted rate of $39.95 a month but took me by surprise when they told me my contract was for 3 years. I told the employee that I was going to review my contract and consider my options, I also told him to have a good evening and we ended the phone call.
I reviewed my contract, they were right...my contract was for three years so I called back to accept the rate change and was told that I had hung up on their employee and had declined the offer.

I have paid my bill on time, they have never had to lift a finger in relation to my coverage and this is the way they roll? For a total of $156.00 (13 months x the $12.00 savings) they have lost me for life. I will ALWAYS have an alarm. Talk about cutting off your nose to spite your face...ADT, anybody ever tell you about the bird in the hand being worth two in the bush?

Update: Trachelle, I appreciate that you have responded to my review but can only say "stand tough...defend your side"...it doesn't matter to me because I know what the conversation was and I as the consumer will choose who I spend my money with, it won't be ADT.

I had a bad experience with ADT as well terrible customer services they had us wait all day then come out to say the sale rep messed up the paper work never would deal with this people again. Than they wanted to give me a reschedule appointment for another two weeks later I just ended up going some where else. Then you have to talk to everyone in the company before you can even get your order straighten out then it still never gets straight they want to do a reschedule . Pulse app sucks and customer service is horrible
After the first call to contract ADT nothing was as expected anymore. They lied to us to contract the service, they installed the system very poorly and it's still just not working. We called customer service several times and after 30 min of waiting they where rude and useless. They promissed to send a technicien in less than 48h and after 4 days we're still waiting.

I would like to cancel the service after just two weeks of use but your coustomer bad service is saying I have to pay 75% of the three year contract in advance. Does this mean that I've to wait 6 months to give you the opportunity to solve your issues? Meanwhile I should pay but I won't have any service.
Car broken into
My car sits directly in front of the pulse camera. It records the motion when I come home from work and when cars pass in front of my house but did not catch any video of four kids breaking into my car. Thankfully I also have a nest camera pointed in my front yard that caught the whole thing on video.

Trying to cancel service with this company is like trying to scale Everest with no legs.
I called a few weeks ago to cancel and it was taking so long that I had to tell them I'd call back. I called back today to cancel (1 week before my move) and now they are telling me I need to write a letter to cancel. They also just now tell me for the first about their 30 day cancellation policy. So what they do is make it nearly impossible to cancel and then charge you an extra month (or more, they say).
Not only that but a year ago when I signed up they promised me a $50 pre-paid Visa and after numerous calls to see where that was they finally told me that I wasn't eligible or some crap.

I am home owner and joined ADT in 2007. I recently upgraded to the pulse (video monitoring system) which cost me $231. for installation and $57./month. Yeah I know, a lot of money for a system I could have bought right out the store. But since I've been a long time customer of their basic alarm service. I decided to give it a try. The pulse monitoring system does not work. My car was burglarized and the video did not record one clip of the culprit committing the crime. ADT did not disclose the video resets for 4 minutes causing the video not to record during that time. I am livid because I am paying all this money for 30 second clips that do not record in the act of an emergency. I called to get a credit, free upgrade to the DVR or refund and learned I was in a 36 month contact. wow! I can understand a one year contract but three years. The customer service rep (Tabitha) offered no solution, discount or credit. In fact, Tabitha stated they will give me refund. She offered to send a tech out which the next appointment didn't fit my schedule until a whole month later. Basically the tech is going to come out and tell me the same thing Tabitha said over the phone,"the camera works. It's suppose to only record for 30 seconds.Then for another 4 minutes go in reset mode (during that time no video recording)." So ADT mean to tell me after 30 seconds, I am not protected for another 4 minutes. That is crazy. ADT is selling a product that does not work and provide security as advertised. That's like a burglar breaking in my home and ADT never calling the police and the criminal getting away. Why am I paying for a service that doesn't work or makes me feel safe? I decided to test out the equipment. I set the alarm, walked out to where my camera was. I went to review the camera and there was no video clip recording of me. This is very disturbing. I could have been getting robbed, hoping the security camera would have captured it just to find out it didn't. I don't recommend using their security system. They are quick to sell you a product without disclosing and carefully explaining the terms in full. I'm thinking about dropping completing. I'm in a dispute with ADT.
Don't seem to care
I've had an ADT account for over 10 years. I recently upgraded from land line service to cell-based, and ever since, they can't seem to sort things out. At first, they thought I had two systems... an old one (before the upgrade) and a new one (after the upgrade). So the customer web site (re: billing, testing the system, etc.) was screwed up. I have called on 9 different occasions, wasting hours of my time on hold, re-explaining my problem, etc. Several times they assured me they would fix the issues within a day or two, twice the tech support person said they would call and email me when they had addressed the issue, and they never did. Today, after a full hour on the phone, they've decided they can't fix it, and offer nothing. It's just something I need to live with. Unbelievable. A problem they created on their web site and in my account, and they've decided I just need to live with it. No service is their standard for service. Unresponsive is their idea of a response. I'm currently shopping around for alternatives.

NEVER WORKED. Feed up with this awful service and charges for nothing. Call to cancel, they told me I can't cancel because the 2 year agreement. So am I supposed to continue paying you even though you don't provide the services? What century do we live in now. I was stupid enough to even consider and paid for that long. Still not resolved
Things are still not right. A rep came to my house on Thursday for me to fill out a new contract but not the other paperwork that has my name spelled wrong. He said, all we care about is that the name on the contract is correct. The name being misspelled anywhere else doesn't really matter, it's the contract that counts. I guess no one cares about the customer. Than on Saturday I received an invoice due date of 9/3/15 that has my name spelled wrong and states current charges are $71.98. How can I owe for two months when the system was installed on 8/13/15 and when I was asked by the installer what date I wanted my monthly bill to state, I told him the 15th of the month. How do are get this corrected ?

At my new service need to be down graded to land line phone. So far there are 3 technicians no one looks like bother to change it to land line.
Last guy's name Sean K , was very bad , his appointment at 11-3pm and show up at 3pm and telling me that he is late for other appointment. He do not have any intention to do his job. He was asking me how to run line to reach phone. I do not know.. why do you have such guys..He stayed at my home for 30 minutes , in 30 he tried to call some one 10 times. All the time he was saying I do not know.. and asking me how to run this line, I do not know what to do.. Very irritating personality.. I have question about my Home security with this kind of people... It seems to be I put my home security this kind of people..I posted this a week back no one response so far .. So I put my home security in questionable responsible company.?
