Worst company to deal with. They just take your money and provide you nothing. Unfortunately I had a 3 year contract with them which I paid in full and when to was over I tried to cancel multiple time and they keep charging me and every time I call and ask why l'm still being charged they say they don't have record of me calling to cancel. Buyer beware. Stay away from ADT.

ADT just hired a new CEO who promises to stop all the negative reviews. I learned it is Charles Manson. He will change the family from the ADT family to the Manson family. It cost a lot to get him out of prison. I wish him well in his new position.

All a bunch of lies!! They can’t fix your stuff so they offer you new equipment at “great prices” and want to extend the contract. When you make phone calls they just transfer you from person to person repeating all the same stuff. 100% TRASH!!! I WILL NEVER USE OR RECOMMEND THEM TO A SOUL!!!!
System still not working correctly
I had a system installed in October - alarm and CCTV. Eleven home appointments later, it still is not fully fuctional. Their technical staff do not all know how the system works; and even if you tell them the nature of what is wrong when scheduling an appointment, the technician will show up and not know what the issue is, and as often as not, they don't have what they need to fix it or are not knowledgeable of the issue. Worse, they want to charge for each visit. It sems to me that you should not have to pay extra when they failed to install something correctly. Customer service is more of a theory with company. Trying to escalate complaints to someone higher in the chain does not work either.

I called to cancel my account and they told me it will be cancelled once the contract ends. So it ended in in October 2023 and they still didn’t cancel it. So I didn’t realize that they were still charging me for after cancellation. And I called they said i didn’t call for cancellation so they left it active. So they charged me $65 a month for 8 months. That’s $500 bucks. And they would not refund me the money because they don’t see a not for cancellation. They are stealing peoples money.

I had to move from an apartment to living with parents. I called ADT to cancel and was told that I had to pay $880.52 because I cannot return the ADT alarm system which are all unwired. I told them I had to move back in with parents and yet they still said I signed a 36-month contract. They persuaded me to sign the contract for 36 months because it provided much more of a better rate than signing for one year. Never again. Simply safe and Vivint (parents have Vivint) are two others that I recommend. Do NOT use ADT. They're rip-offs! Had I viewed reviews, I would not have purchased service with these crooks. The rep said I could try and sell the system to someone and have them take over my $53.40 payments that I have to make for two more years although the system will be in my parent's garage. Just ridiculous! I must say that I appreciated the rate, but the rate should be offered for one year and if it was so, I wouldn't be in this position.

Dealing with ADT Security Services has been an absolute nightmare. Their sales department makes false promises, their technicians try to upsell you on equipment without disclosing additional charges, and their lack of communication between departments is infuriating. Despite being assured by the salesman that my existing equipment would suffice, the technician claimed it was too upgraded for the package and replaced it without my consent. Not only was I charged for the new equipment without my knowledge, but the tech took my old equipment with him. After weeks of trying to resolve the issue, customer service keeps giving me the runaround, promising refunds that never materialize. It's been over a month, and I'm still paying for equipment that I don't even have anymore because I asked them to send out a tech to pick their equipment up a week after the install. ADT is essentially stealing my money, and the frustration is beyond words.
With all of them, Pick one. Any one of them, and I have had an issue. The latest would be a $2.350.00 cancelation fee for a system that has never worked since day 1 us having the same issues…
With all of us having the same issues with what is CLEARLY the worst security company in the world. There should be little to NO DOUBT that a quality law firm somewhere would take on a class action law suite. If I get any responses, I will attach my email, and we can get started. SIX Months ago.

After nearly 7 years of using their service, my keypad stopped functioning properly, and I was not able to utilize the monitoring service. Multiple conversations with the service line, and a failed repair by one of their field service technicians, and subsequently no communication from ADT, I decided to close my account. During this time of zero service, I did not receive a credit for the monthly service fee on the service they failed to provide. I did receive a sales pitch on one failed service call where they asked me to sign a new one year service contract, and they would freeze my rate for 3 years. When I called to cancel my service, they offered me an upgrade to a new system...not for free, but for $99. And then they said they could look at lowering my rate. Again, this only occurred when I called to deactivate my service as I entered the third month of the system not working. They then proceeded to bash the competition and tell me the ways the competition would try to rip me off. It was an incredibly sleazy experience. I could not encourage anyone enough to stay away from ADT.

Haven’t been able to put up camera because they are not always detecting motion and I’m not getting all my alerts. Called ten times for over three weeks.
No one has been able to help. Asked to speak with a supervisor- no call yet. Asked to have someone schedule a second video service -. I was told they would call me- they haven’t done that yet.
The first video service the lady asked me to do some things to trouble shoot now I am not getting any notifications after her help. She actually made it worse and couldn’t undo what she did. I am no longer able for I see the Google home app in my phone notification settings so no alerts at all!!!

If I could give them negative stars I would. We have had this security system for 10 months now, first they tricked us into a 3 YEAR contract. Second every time we have tried to cancel with them they make it IMPOSSIBLE, they will ask you so many questions and then not even give you an answer on how to cancel. Third they are really rude. I was chatting with somebody to cancel for the 5th time and she was extremely rude and not helpful at all. As well I have had my alarm go off and they didn't even send the police, it is a crappy company and they don't even protect you with the security system. There are a ton of different places you can go for cheaper and better security, don't waste your time or money on this.
ADT tries to take advantage of a 95 year old widow
I purchased a system for my 95 year old mom, when I initially called ADT they quoted me for the equipment and monthly monitoring, they said the equipment was $1,145 and monitoring fee was $54 per month. I asked them if I owned the equipment, they said yes, absolutely. They installed it May, 7th, 2024. Six days ago. Since then I received a docusign contract from ADT stating they own the equipment and want me to sign it. I did a live chat and phone call with ADT last week, they assured me that I own the equipment and said they would mail me that in writing. Today I get another docusign contract from ADT stating they own the equipment, another live chat and they say I own the equipment, then I call and get corporate office customer support, I ask to speak to a manager, they refused to let me speak to management, she goes on to tell me that ADT does own the equipment and that all 5 of the ADT employees I chatted with or spoke to were wrong. I am scheduling to have them remove their system now and looking to get a different security system
In response to ADT reply to this, I fail to see how an email would resolve this when phone calls won’t. Vivint is scheduled to arrive to install their system the same day ADT is scheduled to remove their system

The worst company ever I seen in my life I’ve been a customer for two years I paid for all my equipment ADT company they did installed small device in the basement to notify me if there’s any flood actually, this device it didn’t work and I have a flooded basement cost me for remodeling $5000 also, I have all the pictures and evidence for the flooding and for the last 6 months I keep calling ADT customer service and complaining about what happened in my basement. Nobody did take care of it. Finally they told me they will send me a technician and I have to wait for him from 8 o’clock in the morning till 12 I took a day off with no paid waiting for the technician to show up he called me. He wanna be late another hour also, he wanted to charge me $45 just to come and check the device nothing done professional also, nobody discussed the charges for $45 to the technician to come and check the device I did not recommend this company to anyone and this is my number

The transition to Everon has been a JOKE
The transition to Everon has been a nightmare. Was sent a letter in March about the transition and that they would be contacting me shortly to move my monitoring over. It is now May and have yet to receive any info. My account on myADT says my system is out of service. And when I call to get assistance I get passed around different divisions from Everon to ADT Commercial to ADT small Business. The people assisting have attitude problems and treat me like I am unreasonable when I am fumbling in the dark because they failed to provide me any of my "new information". I had a tech in my office to keep my UL certificate up to date as part of my service and he was even having issues when calling in to put my system in test mode. Just another example of corporations that do not care about their customers and did a poor job of facilitating the transition both internally and for the clients.

For the past 3 weeks my alarm system hasn’t worked after multiple phone calls they send me a new one and then i was told by someone in the technical support dept that I would be receiving a phone call the following day at 8am to correct the issue remotely. Of course I never received a phone call and when I called they told me someone will call me between 12-12:30. I couldn’t make that time frame so then they offer me an appt the following day with a 4 hour time frame. I said forget it because it’s Mother’s Day and I’m not waiting for ADT to call me if THEY have time. When I went to cancel, they informed me that the personnel in the cancellation department does not work weekends but charged my card anyway for services I haven’t received in 3 weeks and help I never received. Absolutely horrible experience and I will be going to Slomins shield.
4 hour search and rescue failure
Someone canceled one of 3 of our commercial accounts. It took me 5 people to figure out who. It was on our end but I think whoever took the call mistakenly canceled our account instead of cancelling an alarm call. I tried to reinstate the account, wrong person of course and Linda assured me that someone would call me first thing in the am. It is 2 days later and I am still waiting. Always a 4 hour search and rescue to get anything done with customer service.

Garbage outfit - harder to quit than a timeshare - better systems and consumer treatment out there - get a Ring doorbell you’ll be happier :: cheaper.
I've had nothing but issues with ADT
I've had nothing but issues with ADT. It first started the day I got their services, the technician came out and went over equipment options with me. Once I decided on what I wanted he had me sign the contract and began installing only to install the door sensors and then tell me that I need to have an electrician come out to install the cameras. My house is already fully wired for the devices from the previous owners with ADT equipment already there but we were updating. So after being tricked into a contract to then be told that I need to spend more money to have an electrician come out and install the cameras from ADT, that is issue number one.
2, their auto payment system is jacked. They hadn't pulled a payment in a couple months and then decide to pull everything at once. No notices, email, letter in the mail etc. They just pulled payment when they wanted. There was no issues with account on my end there was an issue with the system in which the service rep confirmed with me and I was also charged late fees.
The equipment is crap, there is such a lag in the sensors. The cameras (when they work) glitch all the time.
If you're thinking about getting ADT save yourself the trouble and just don't. They don't even have their own equipment they use google products. You can save yourself a lot of headache and just buy from google but honestly their floodlight cameras suck so I would look at other options.

I have had this system for 3 years, it has worked successfully for approximately 3 weeks of that time. I have called technical support 4 different times and spent HOURS on the phone trouble-shooting. I was never offered any money off or discounts for the 3 years of payments for a system that never worked.

I referred a family member on March 5
I referred a family member on March 5, 2024 and was told that I would receive a 250.00 Visa card. It’s been a total of 2 months and I have not received the visa only have been getting excuses after excuses. We were told that the total would be 200.00 and that it would be on its way on April 26, 2024. As of today May 7, 2024 we still haven’t received our visa. A ADT agent called and wanted to settle with us by crediting 100.00 to our account. We stated to him absolutely no we are wanted what was told to us which was the 200.00 Visa card. ADT do not honor the rewards system so do not get your hopes up for any rewards.

This is more of adt itself as a company, not this anchorage business. BE WARNED! No matter your circumstances ADT will not work with you at all if you need to cancel early for any reason. I was on the phone with so many people at ADT just trying to cancel and they kept lowering the offered rate and then asking if I’d stay in contract with them. I had to tell them SO MANY times that I just wanted to cancel and I was NOT interested in lowering the rate. STAY AWAY from this company. There have got to be better security companies out there

I signed up with ADT last year for my business and had set up a friend for his business to get ADT with the refer a friend promotion that they were offering. It was a $200 gift card. That was August 2023. By October 2023 it was approved and I wad waiting for the card. They had said it was sent but I never received it. I was having issues with getting my mail. So after a while I asked them to send it to my personal address which they said ok. Prior to that I kept calling and asking about it and literally was getting no where with them. They kept saying give us 7 to 10 business days and I did and had to keep calling. It's now been about 7 months and I'm still trying to get this taken care of. I keep calling and calling, keep asking to speak to a supervisor and I can't seem to be able to talk to one. They won't let me talk to one. Always some excuse and I'm sorry it is just ridiculous. I talked to one person last week and they proceeded to tell me that since the building that my friend is in the prior owner had ADT ( not my friend) and I'm not eligible to receive the card. So I asked after all this time this is the reason? I was angry. I called again still denied for the 5th time to speak to a supervisor, I was told that someone will get back to me in about 14 days, I was told I waited this long 14 days is nothing. I can not believe this at all. This company is a sham! I have never been so disrespected and treated so poorly in my life. My friend and I are really disappointed with ADT and the service and honestly shocked anyone still uses them. I don't like them and don't want to deal with this headache. They lie. I want what's owed to me and them come get their equipment and they better not even try and charge me for the fact of every single employee lies to their customers about everything. Definitely not trustworthy. Their system is ridiculous and they don't care at all. They don't even deserve the 1 star
