VERY poor customer service
The customer service is VERY poor. I have fault after fault on my cctv system. They keep on postponing the engineer visit. Poor communication. Different messages every time I call. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY.

I didn't have adt. They came by and the head tried to convince me by saying "I don't care about my family's safety. " that's when I know not to go though them.

looking to up grade ,made appointment 8:00 am guy never showed and finally called 3 1/2 hours late to say he wasn't coming, There's no phone contact nothing to do but hope and pray online to get a response. Before that changed appoint twice.

I've been an ADT customer for 20 years, my experience with customer service over the last 4 months has been atrocious,appointments scheduled and then no show with no call. They sent emails which I don't check to confirm that they changed my appointment for a day that I had not agreed on. They say they have no record of my appointment but I have email confirmation of my appointment from them. ADT was once a good company, they answered their phone promptly, the police were called when the alarm went off.This company can not schedule an appointment and follow through or give a courtesy call when they aren't going to make it, how will they properly monitor my alarm system?I feel my money would be better spent on steak dinners and a video system from nest cam that I monitor.

Adt automatically drafted out $900 of my account. They did not stand by the contract and move services or attempt to come out to our property. The building we leased is being demolished after 2 years of leasing and we do not plan on relocating our business. ADT refuses to be of any kind of assistance and waive the early cancelation fee of $962.62. Thanks ADT. I would not recommend them. For anyone looking for the next step: Advanced Notice Requirement. Before initiating an arbitration or a small claims matter, you and ADT agree to first provide to the other a written “Notice of Dispute” that will contain: (a) a written description of the issue and the supporting documents and information, and (b) a specific request for money or other relief. I would give it zero stars if I could. We just moved into a new house this past April. And within that first week, we’ve had “authorized dealer” reps show up at our home FIVE times on different days!! After being told we’re not interested, and if we change our minds, we know how to call!! We have contacted ADT and they’re saying it’s not them and there’s nothing they can do. So I guess anyone can get shirts made and represent any company they want. We’re so fed up that we contacted the police because we now feel threatened and harassed. I wish ADT reps would leave us alone! It’s disrespectful coming to people’s home uninvited, in groups of 2 (male, female or mixture), and at or after 7pm!!!!!!! Because of this type of harassment we have chosen to NOT use ADT and sign with a different company!!!

This has been a completely horrible experience. I have been an Adt customer for almost 10 years, even transferring my service when moving. First move was smooth, however i recently moced in Febuary, and instrad of transferring my account they canceled it and tried to bill me for early cancellation, and created a new account. Now instead of fixing it, they canceled my account again so i am currently being billed for 2 early canceled contracts instead of monthly payments with my service transfer. Ive been trying to have this corrected for months. I currently have a bill for over 4300 dollars. I am tired. I am going to go to Vivint due to this experience.
ADT is the WORST DT just took over my old company as…
ADT officially confirmed they took over my old company as Feb 2023, from the letter they sent it is official. In the letter it states I do not have to do anything, they will take care of all of it. Well, 2 months later my doorbell camera isn't working, stopped on the 22 Apr 2023. When I called the lady said my system is too old and I need to get a new system that would cost me $1000. The letter they sent did not say anything about needing a new system! They knew when they took over my old company what system I had, but still no mentioning of a new system. And when I said I want to cancel they decided to add another year to my contract, which would normally be up on the 01 Aug 2023 under the old company, and of course that was not mentioned in my letter either. So they take over a company and 2 months later they screw you for anything and everything, they want you to hand over the cash? I didn't sign no contract that I agreed to extend my contract until 2024.
"No action is needed on your part" is what the letter states, but yet I have to download the ADT APP, or the Alarm.com APP, they don't even know which app I am suppose too use! Really???????? And I am sure that the reply from ADT will be automated as well, they don't care. Just cough up the money
Non existant customer service: they don't care!
Reading the reviews I realize I don't even have to say it. This company is horrible. I plan to make it a mission in my life to expose the poorest of customer service a company can provide. I too was tricked into a five year contract. And I can't get any service techs to help with my spotty service. Also To MAZEN don't bother with the computer activated reply to this complaint. Alwaysthere at ADT...doesn't work...that too is a scam! Everything ADT...scam!
Dealing with ADT is sooo…
Dealing with ADT is sooo annoying...Always on hold for an hour plus and their Reps have no customer service skills. They take your number down but they don't call back when disconnected. SUCKS!!!!!!
Additionally, while on hold, all of a sudden you get prompted to enter credit card details out of nowhere.
TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE...I NEED TO SWITCH TO ANOTHER COMPANY.
Paying for a service that was not being delivered
I have been paying for an alarm service since January 22 but only discovered by accident in March 23 that the system was not working (there was no communication to the monitoring provider despite this being part of the service package). Although the fault has now been resolved I have been told by the customer retention group and by the customer solutions team that they cannot refund me the amount that I have paid for the service that was not provided. I have now been passed to the complaints team who have forwarded my issue to the business improvement team. I am far from impressed and cannot recommend this company if this is how they treat their customers.

I immediately contacted customer services with ADT& was generally fobbed off by many different employees.
I asked to speak to a supervisor but was informed that this person could deal with my problem ( clearly she couldn’t) Then on that afternoon a lady phoned to say that she would get an engineer for Friday afternoon but she thenput me through to the despatch department who said that no engineers available until the following Thursday.
I tried to live with the alarm going Off every couple of hours plus each time I walked into a different or opened the front door.
I was totally exhausted by this experience, so I phoned again this morning & the receptionist took all details & said an engineer would ring this morning.
I was phoned by a very pleasant gentleman called Barry Holt, who said he would come to the house around lunchtime,bearing in mind that he had to drive from Birmingham.
He could not get into the panel but he dismantled the panel& took the battery out so that the wretched noise
would stop.
He has filed a full report of the problem& hopefully it should be resolved . If this doesn’t happen I will dispense with the alarm system with ADT.
I have been a customer for over 25 yrs
So I am very peeved & disappointed with my treatment.
To have constant noise for 2& a half days is a form of mental torture.

ADT's service is continually terrible
ADT's service is continually terrible. It generally takes one hour to deal with an ADT agent and it is clear that money comes first.
I experienced a fire alarm defect on april 3 2023. ADT has not yet sent someone to address the issue.
Similarly I have been trying to add an alarm device to an new premises. Again, ADT only cares about the fees and has not sent anyone for installation.
This company is the worst
This company is the worst. Stay diligent and check your billing when you are on the 3 year contract. They increase it dramatically after a few months.

DO NOT USE ADT. HORRIBLE PRODUCT AND CUSTOMER SERVICE. I am extremely dissatisfied with my experience with ADT. The system has not been working properly for 7 months now and I just wanted to cancel the service.
I took over the house when my grandmother passed away, so I responsibly called to put the system in my name. I told the representative I wasn’t sure if we were keeping or selling the house. The proceeded to scam me into signing a 3 year contract!! They emphasized the price would remain the same for 1 year and if we wanted to keep the services to call back and ask for the same rate. They DID NOT tell me I would be locked in for three yearS!!
I was vulnerable and reached out to the security company for them to assist me in having the bills come to the proper name. They took advantage of me and provided a HORRIBLE service. The alarm goes off in the middle of the night. Randomly throughout the day when it is not even set. When I have set the alarm it will go off sometimes within three minutes of me leaving the house and ADT will call. No way has someone broken into my house that quickly. And it was, once again, a faulty system.
Having a loved one pass away and taking responsibility for their house is a huge undertaking. ADT was not considerate at this time and used it as an opportunity to make money.
The company wants $800 for me to cancel the service. You know there is a problem when you call the 1-800 number and there is an option to cancel the service. DO NOT USE ADT.
I wish someone had told me about the lack of efficiency as well as the scamming that is done. They do not look out for their customers. What kind of security system takes advantage of someone like this!? Awful.
I will be sure to spread the word of the disappointing and terrible service ADT provides.

5 (FIVE) times I have taken the day off for this company to do a service and 5 (FIVE) times we have been cancelled on.
So no recompense, no explanations, we are now going to have to take a 6th day off when they can be bothered to come and service the alarm - even though they did it remotely during lockdown!!!
£40 a month - £480 a year to be treated like absolute dirt.
We even had an engineer ring and say Ill be there in an hour - when we didnt have an appointment booked (Strange Im not sat around at 1.£5 in the afternoon at home doing nothing!!!) - he said oh its dispatches fault.
So we have been given three months credit of £120 to cover my wages of nearly a grand for the 5 missed days at work. They are so generous - and again some minion will respond and say "oh get in touch and we will look into it" - I have been in touch and treated with more contempt.
Goodbye ADT youve had enough of my money! Ill buy a new system with what I save!

A total rip off and a bunch of lies don't listen anything they tell you over the phone. I ordered to try it out and the rep that helped me informed me can return at anytime, just call and they will send me a return label. I asked him several times I never opened the equipment not even to look at it . I called to cancel and have the return label sent to me . To find out I have to pay for it including the equipment total of $1366.47. now I remind you my billing don't start till I hook the equipment up and it's not hooked up and the box still sealed as they sent it. Then they say I can't return it once I pay the amount above it's my equipment I own it. Why would I want to own something that won't even work. It's so SAD that will take your money and you haven't even started or use they equipment. I see why it's not a lot of ADT signs in people yard and they going with other companies. Oh and the male who helped me said they recording me telling you you can return it with no problems never said I had a deadline to cancel he said anytime

I Would give 0 stars for adt on how they have treated you with the level of service i called during bank holiday as my panel went into factory mode so it had to be re installed i waited till Tuesday and was told a engineer will be coming nobody came i rang again and was told the engineer has gone on holiday and nobody will be in your area for next 2 week ( like really) rang again false promises they dont want to give the call to the managers as they are all busy (what are they doing) was promised someone will come on 20th april 2023 nobody came rang again they said the appointment is booked till 27th april 2023 , chris the manager was supposed to sort this out he did not false promises and myself just being made a fool off they are happy to take the direct debit out but do not care about your security i live in bramhall and there is only one engineer who is working in this area so if he is on holiday we have to work around his times.

We have WiFi cameras and more than 75% they go offline. We can't even go out of town without them going offline. I call tech that can't do anything because we are out of town. Point is adt sucks their out of date equipment. I've been a customer for 14 years I'm getting very tired of this I'll be looking for another service.

Adt should considered working on their poor communication skills. I’ve waited on hold more than 45 minutes each time I called. On day 21 with adt I requested to cancel service, but I was told I’ll be responsible for the whole amount in the contract. I called back and was told I’ll get a call back but no one called. So upsetting and disappointing.
