Tue, Dec 27, 2022 I order a purchase for ADT. This has been the worst experience and unprofessional I have dealt with. I'm looking to return the equipment I have not even activated or connected due to ADT sending me the wrong camera equipment. I was out of town in New York visiting my grandmother in the hospital. I wasn't around the 30 day trial I was never told about from the sales rep when I ordered the equipment. The issue is when I was on the phone with the rep I asked how the cameras are. Yes. You just connect them to the wall, no drill needed. I get the equipment and notice the cameras come with screws and I have to drill in the wall. I told another sales rep when I was looking to return the equipment. The rep says no you can't return the equipment. I can use gorilla tape and connect the camera to the walls. I rent I can't drill in my subdivision. They would evict me. Also I'm not going to tape a camera to a wall, someone who can walk past the camera can fall and hurt someone. They need to allow me to return the equipment, and refund me my money. If this BBB claim doesn't resolve this issue I'm going to contact an attorney and take legal action because they void the contract by sending the wrong equipment. I was sent two cameras. The one outside they stated that to go to the patio I would have to drill through cement. I have the reps recorded as well. So when I take legal action this will be an easy situation to resolve. I noticed when I contacted them the deadline was a few days off, I hadn't created an account I haven’t even unpacked all the equipment after seeing the camera. ADT should have provided better customer service and contacted me about the status of me receiving my equipment and the status of the install. They are a security company. What happens if a break-in happens they would do horrible in reporting to me about an issue. I want nothing to do with this company, take your equipment or face legal issues. This is a warning.
2 years ago ADT change my keypad and…
2 years ago ADT change the keypad and for the last 9 months each time ADT calls to test my phone signal they do not know the type of keypad or how to operate there keypad. It seems they don't know how to keep records of what they put in your home. I have had to give the technician 11 times the name of my keypad and the model. The test should take about 1 minutes but ends up 30 minutes or longer.

Bad customer service. Faulty equipment
don’t purchase this alarm system. their cameras are of poor quality. whenever there’s something wrong with their camera, they will charge you $60 just to come out to fix their own faulty cameras. when you call for assistance, the representatives have no knowledge about their own products. they want you to fix the problem. I can’t fix the problem cause I’d have to get on a ladder to troubleshoot. if I fail to fix the issue, they will charge 60$ to fix it. just last week I was charged! 142$ just so they can reset my alarms because I changed my WiFi password. sometimes when I call during a high call volume, I’d send an emai, no reply. I wish I never purchased their system. Now I’m bound to a contract till 2025. I will go bankrupt by then. Very disappointed Customer. You have money to waist? Get ADT. Unbelievable.

Worse company I joined watching commercial property brothers said it was good I have had nothing but problem I left my windows open set alarm left then realized I what I did alarm never went off my ring doorbell hasn't worked sense November I was told at beginning of had trouble with it they would replace you call and they tell you you can replace it to Google it and they would charge 75 to come out I let people know about adt word of mouth goes along way of the worse service and rip off why isn't better business burial or a lawyer closing them down it's a scam !

I extremely regret having a contract with ADT. Cameras are not detecting many critical events including intrusions. One time I figured out that someone was in my backyard taking off the covers of the furnitures and leaving their trash but the camera didn’t detect or record anything. In another occasion (Late January 2023) my 10x12 ft metal gazebo flew away for about 30 ft because of strong winds and again the camera recorded nothing. Imagine 10x12 ft metal gazebo moves for 30 fts and their system cameras detect nothing!!!!. I technically pay $80 a month to occasionally record myself and my family around the house while intruders spend great time hanging around my property and leaving their trash because they probably already know the poor quality of ADT systems more than me. The most pathetic part is that they ask me for $59 charge because I complained about the problem and requested a technician visit. Be careful, they will charge you 75% of the remaining monthly payments for the whole contract if you try to escape from them and their poor service by asking for contract cancellation. I don’t recommend ADT at all to anyone based on my experience with them.
Horrible!!!
Horrible!!!! Waste of time, money and energy. I had my security system for a week and half , I was away from home received and burglar alarm through my email, that I didn’t even seen it till the next day!! When I was checking my mail , but never got a call from police or company!!! It supposed to keep my home and my family protected and they not doing they job , I contact the company and returning evething!
Both control panels are off line and no services
Both control panels are off line. They finally told me (after 45 minutes of testing) that I need a new battery and to open a locked enclosure. The guy who set the system up didn't leave a key. I asked if someone could be dispatched to unlock their box and was told it would be $180 dollars to remedy their screw up.
I am going to find a new was to provide alarm and automation services to my home. I cannot believe how ineffective ADT customer support was working from their damn scripts.
Consistently the worst customer service…
Consistently the worst customer service I've experienced from any company or agency in my lifetime, across the board. Worse than the USPS, Comcast, and the DMV by far. I DO NOT recommend this company - find another security option. After waiting on hold for extended wait times, sometimes more than an hour, agents have come on the line, only to hang up/disconnect minutes later. In addition, errors are frequently made and NOT resolved, despite promises to resolve them. For example, ADT told me I needed to create an entirely new account after a fire in my home. They said they would cancel my old account. Five months and many, many calls and lost hours later, they had failed to cancel the second/duplicate/inactive account and were pulling double payments out of my checking account each month, until I had to block them. Then they refused to refund the full amount of the double payments they had taken. The company creates errors, is inept at fixing them, and is difficult to reach. Unless you enjoy giving your hard-earned budget away and spending hours of your life on the phone with them (which you will never get back), I do not recommend using ADT. Once I find an acceptable replacement, I will be canceling my account with them, never to return.
Oh my word!
Oh my word!! I’d give ADT -00000 stars if I were able. A shoddy company .. I have worked in customer services for 34 years and have never ever known a poor show like it. The biggest thieves are ADT and not the scum out there that you would expect to rob you. They came to my home to service my security system .. 1 day a week for 3 weeks they have been called back to fix a problem that did not exist prior to the service taking place.. ADT now have tha audacity to send me an invoice totalling £280!!!

Would not recommend! ADT has some of the worst costumer service I have ever experienced. They will transfer you and put you on hold multiple times just to give you the same answer each time. Due to the COMPANY'S miscommunication, I am now stuck with an outrageous bill and they refuse to make any accommodations. Dealing with ADT has been a headache since day one and I would not recommend their services to anyone. I am highly unsatisfied.

Booked an engineer every day for three days running and every day it's a no-show, not even a phone call. I asked for a manager and the response was, one can call you in a couple of days. THE worst company I've ever dealt with.
Absolute scam
Absolute scam! Do not waste your time, customer service is a joke. They will have you jumping through hoops to get ahold of someone. Couldn’t even get my account set up because they hung up on me several times and told me “We’ll put in a ticket and call you back” and they never did. DO NOT GET ADT.
Non existent customer service - beyond poor
If I could leave zero stars or indeed minus stars, I would. The customer service is an absolute joke, I have been waiting almost 3 months now for an engineer to come over and reinstall a faulty camera and sensor.
I have escalated the issue to what is supposed to be a manager but the saga continues and nothing has changed, I am still chasing and trying to get answers but have failed on many occasions.
Please do yourself a favour, so not sign up with ADT because as soon as you do….poof, you’re gone. So end your money elsewhere and do your research.
MY UPGRADE HOME CAM SECURITY
My upgrade appt. Was reschedule with out anyone contacting me I found out when I contacted them. Everyone is not on the same page when knowing pricing and how much is paid at the time when tech comes out they don't tell you everything you need to know they just in to make money for themselves it seems instead of making sure the customer knows up front everything that's needed. So watch yourself with this. Never again for me.

Our winter property, fire alarm went off, neighbor checked, no break in, no water or fire demages, no ADT to check what caused the problem. I paid from July to November just to find out the system wasn't working. I could not arm throught Pulse. Now tech came over, changed batteries, took forever to get Pulse to work, and charged my a lot money for the call. I would not recomend ADT to anyone, period!

They come in install equipment and have you sign for installation. what you do not know is you are also signing for a 3 year contract. They will charge you over 1000.00 to end contract. total rip off For your own safety please stay away from ADT You will pay dearly

This company is the worst company. My business was closed my business owner , I had to pay termination fee of 379; I made a payed towards the fee the still send me to credit company that made me 83 points on my credit report . This was not call for or fair. Don’t every do business with this company the ate the worst. I will never give them another dime .
They’ll make it difficult to keep your money and have hidden fees!
When you want to install equipment it’s easy and they come right away but if you want to remove it they give you trouble and it’s difficult. The sales won’t listen and is causing trouble.

My alarm has not been working for the past 15 days and they are telling me that they will charge me $59.00 to come look at the problem. They keep promising me they will call me within 48 hours and no one calling me back.
ADT doorbell
I have the ADT doorbell and I’ve had to change it out 3 time. I called to complain about the quality of service and the billing associate ask me what’s the problem they fixed it at no cost to me… I pay the monthly insurance so you did NOT fix it at no cost to me. I pay for a service and the quality of service I’m getting is extremely poor! I asked to speak to a supervisor she put me on hold, when she came back I was told the supervisor would call me back when they got off another call it’s been 24 hours and still no callback. I going to look for another security company if I can’t get better service and treatment!

Poor customer service-trying to cancel service
I have been on the phone for 1hr 15 minutes holding to speak to an account representative in order to cancel my service which I have had with ADT for over 25 years. I have spoken to and been transferred to 5 different people and had one dropped return call. I imagine if I was trying to order service I would have spoken to someone in 2 minutes. NEVER EVER will I ever consider ADT again. Inexcusable poor customer service.
Crazy long wait times
In the time I have been waiting for a representative to answer, i have made an account on this site to write this review. I have been on the phone for 40 minutes now and I have been trying to cancel my account. I talked to a representative about canceling after waiting for 25 minutes, the conversation did not last 3 minutes and now I have to wait an extra 36 minutes (according to the machine) to talk to ANOTHER representative to cancel my account, not to mention the other representatives that I have talked to giving me I correct information about my account. I am trying to cancel my account but I can’t because of these ridiculous wait times.
