Google has partnered with ADT. Gone are the older ADT cameras that worked on the ADT Control app. Now, you need two different apps, and the equipment from your old place will not be usable if you move. ADT has turned into an unusable, dinosaur of a Company, with no customer service or satisfaction! Go with Vivant, or Cove, or Ring. ADT has become a ripoff!
The system has not worked for months
The system has not worked for months, so many false alarms and they won't let me get out of the contract... Don't ever do business with them.... This company is disgusting and pathetic.....
ADT Customer Service and ADT Services…Poor customer service and service.
ADT Customer Service and ADT Services are pathetic. Our service has not worked properly for months. We had a service tech come out and he said nothing was wrong with it and we paid $150 for 10 minutes and no satisfaction. I am not interested in fixing an ADT system over the phone. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH ADT
I would rate below a one star if it were an option. Paid over $1000 for installation at a commercial property and the system never functioned correctly. We received a late night call saying there was an alarm but then was told, in the same dispatch call, that there was no break-in happening, just a radio malfunction. The next day we saw that the property actually had been broken into and costly damage was done. Knowing now that we cannot trust the services, we attempted to call Safestreets and ADT (they seem to blame each other for everything) to cancel the service and were unable to talk to anyone after countless calls and hours of hold time. On top of all of this, they stated to me, in writing, that we would receive a monthly paper billing statement to which I could pay by company check instead of charging my CC. My CC was charged, and they attempted to charge it numerous times without my consent. Now we are receiving collection calls and they refuse to take care of the situation. They don't seem to care about customer relations in the least and haven't done anything to rectify all that has gone wrong with this business transaction.
Salesperson Flipped Us Off
We expected to get solicitors when buying a new house, but we've had ADT salespeople come to our house four times in two months - telling them no each time - and the last person flipped us off as he drove away because we told him no, like all of the others.
ADT kept charging me for months after I canceled my account
I canceled my ADT account in August 2022 because I was moving across the country. ADT continued to bill me from August to January 2023. I called multiple times over the course of a month to have the money refunded and kept getting told this reimbursement was "pending" but it never showed up.
I was ready to cancel ADT service and thinking about taking them to small claims court; it's ridiculous that it should take so long to get money back when they screwed up by not cancelling my account as they should have.

ADT Security Services Over 5 years when I sign up the first time they told me it’s going be 19.99 I have pre-pay I just find out I was paying $36 for the last two years. This is not a good company soon as I find out I have to disconnect it.& they have a bad customer service. They make me wait almost 40 minutes to disconnect my service. I don’t recommend for nobody else.

HORRIBLE service and equipment!! We have had ADT for 2 years (2 year contract.) In that time our cameras have not worked more than they have been working. Even though we pay a monthly fee for service, that includes the cameras, they charge us every time they have to come out to repair them. Once our alarm system was accidently set off and NO ONE from ADT contacted us or contacted law enforcement. Finally when our contract expired we decided to go with a different company. To throw salt in the wound, they are going to make us stay with their company for another month "per the contract" and pay for the month for nothing. I have asked to negotiate our service fees and final contract fee with supervisors with no results. They are all about the money and not about the security of the customers.

I was hit with UNAUTHORIZED DUPLICATE charges after installation which if I wouldn’t have caught would have resulted in monetary loss
The technicians were nice but we were given different prices by the sales people on the phone and the company that came out.
The services sold on the phone WERE NOT RENDERED & CUSTOMER SERVICE should be called CUSTOMER DISERVICe because the phone support representatives ARE EXTRENELY RUDE & have despicable attitudes.

Horrendous Protection One/ADT Services.
I have had Protection One/ADT services for the past 30+ years in California and now in Park City, UT. The services have become progressively worse and customer care seems at best an afterthought. I have never dealt with a company in any field less responsive to customer needs. Approximately 2 weeks ago my system began repeatedly beeping. When it couldn't be fixed over the phone I was told how to stop the beeping temporarily since I couldn't have a tech out for about 2 weeks. Despite being assured that the beeping wouldn't recur after I followed the phone instructions, the beeping has recurred almost daily. I had an appointment for today which was cancelled because the tech "couldn't get out" due to a snow storm despite the fact there was no snow sticking on the streets at the time of the call. The earliest re-schedule was a month out without any answers for the recurrent beeping. I asked to speak with a supervisor and was told a manager would call me, "usually in about 24 hours." We'll see!!! This Company is nothing short of horrendous

Have attempted to get a service tech out but keep getting told a phone conversation with technician is required. I have gone through that procedure to no avail. This is rediculous. I am a widow living on my own and I admit I am not too savvy with modern technology so a in home visit would be admirable, and preferred. Plus the call center is obviously in another country or they only hire foreign people because it extremely difficult to understand them. Am considering cancelling and going with another service.

I have received a private response from ADT, they said it was on the first page, I never had that First page, I read the document given to me and they have not forwarded a document, DO NOT USE or SIGN anything on their computer, it will not be the same down the road.
Original complaint:The installer changed the contract I signed, I paid for the equipment upfront (over $550) bc we would only own the property one year, now they are telling me it is a 3 year contract and they have not produced any signature on any page. Rep very arrogant, deceitful business practice. I have a horrible experience trying to move my service. I have talk to over 10 people and the problem is still not solved. They tell me how my old service is cancelled so they charge me 2,000 then another 944.72 of the equipment. All I wanted to do it move the service to a different house. All there doing is transferring me to different people and nothing is be done

Terrible. Do not use. They are expensive and unhelpful. 2 years after our contract ended their alarm is beeping in our business premises and they want me to pay for an engineer to come out. Awful dated company.

Tax season and I need receipts for the IRS since it’s for a vacation Rental house. But the website only goes back 12 months so I can’t get December 21 and January/February 22. Apparently ADT can mail them to me but only to the rental house that doesn’t take mail. So I’ll have to forgo the Schedule E write off for those months. Totally ridiculous.
Moreover I had the service installed in the vacation house thinking it would be useful for guests staying in a new area. After several false alarms and fines from the city I had to disable all the codes except for mine. It’s been worse than useless. I recognize that’s on me but learn from my mistakes.

Horrible, both of my door sensor don’t work my backyard camera broke within 2 months. Now my system box the one that plugs into the wall and alerts doesn’t work. If they have to send a tech to your house, it’s gonna cost an extra money. Also, if it rains you’ll wake up with over 100 notifications. I’m genuinely upset I was excited to have ADT. The worst part is if you want to cancel, you have to pay 75% of the monthly payments left on the contract which I didn’t even know that at first I thought I could just cancel at any time. :( Very Disappointing, adt please do better.
ADT is stealing my money!
I pay ADT online. I do not do auto pay. Even so, ADT went into my bank and kept deducting money repeatedly. I pay quarterly, yet they kept deducting money every month!! They have deducted money 4 times in 2 month!! I have only been refunded for 2 of the bogus deductions. I contacted them about this but they continued to deduct money. I had to have my bank block them. So I'm out almost $400!!! They keep trying to get into my bank!!!! When I call I am told I will get all my money back yet they have only paid me for 2 of the 4 times they took my money. Today I called about the rest of my refunds but now they say I owe them $40!!!! I think I need to go to the Secretary of Commerce to look into these practices. Bank of America said ADT does this quite often. I'm done trying to work with them. Their practices are criminal.

If I could give a 0 star I would.I have spent hours and hours on the phone confirming appointments and telling your employees what the issues were. Over and over not one person got it right and after my appointment being cancelled FOUR TIMES, a poor technician arrived with none of the proper information. Now after several more calls and a "virtual service appointment" where the guy was not able to help I schedule YET ANOTHER appointment. After taking off YET ANOTHER day of work and waiting for almost 7 hours I get a message from ADT telling me that the tech is on his way. 10 minutes later a woman calls me and tells me she needs to reschedule my appointment and there is no manager or supervisor I can speak to, I then reached out to ADT online who want to reschedule and tell me they can't guarantee that someone will be able to come because there are "unforeseen circumstances". I understand that but FIVE TIMES???? My household has been woken up several nights a week in the middle of the night with a low alarm battery only for it to go away and apparently NOT ONE PERSON in in company is able to fix that??? I changed the battery myself 3 months ago so it is not that. Yesterday someone FINALLY actually showed up. After all this craziness, I was still scheduled last in the day and thankfully the technician did show up (after calling the company multiple times and being passed around trying to confirm that someone will actually show up this time). The tech says I have the wrong battery, which I purchased directly from a link sent to me by ADT. The technician gives me his cell phone and says to reach out if I have any problems.I then get charged for the new battery, after having paid for the "wrong" battery and a service call and then tonight at 2:15 the alarm beeps "low battery" and I am back completely, where i started, only days of my life wasted and tons of aggravation. I text the technician who never gets back to me. After reaching out to the CEO and other employees the only answers I can get is via facebook messenger. On Saturday, John, the regional manager, from Chatsworth, reaches out and had very little information and he says he will try to get someone back out and call me back. I do not hear from him. Monday morning at 5 AM the same low battery goes off, I contact ADT via facebook and they say someone is coming. I asked when they were planning on notifying me and they don't answer. I cancel my plans on my one day off due to Presidents day. A tech comes and says I need a new panel and he doesn't have one. (Why didn't ADT have an awareness of the problem after a month of calls, emails and constant contact with them and have him bring the part?) and will have to order it and come back REQUIRING ME TO TAKE A 5th day off. The only thing they have offered me for all of my time, effort, frustration is 3 months of service. After demanding a refund of the battery and service call they are supposedly going to do that but it was not offered, They should be ashamed of themselves and if i had time to start a class action law suit noting would bring me greater joy. USE ANYONE BUT ADT. For a company that claims to offer security they do the exact opposite Horrible, horrible company that does not care even a tiny bit about their customers. ADT-don't you dare respond as you have with others to reach out or send anything to the same number and place I have reached out to 30-40 times for absolutely no help.
********Side note, I had already done exactly what ADT asked me to do below and they did ABSOLUTELY NOTHING but say "I'm sorry" for the trilliionth time

I would give zero stars if possible. Their customer service is terrible because it is in another country. Some accents are so thick they cannot be understood and in general the communication is horrible because they use VOIP or Cisco phones through a computer. They have to be told several times what needs to be done, the hold times are horrendous and they often try to charge you for services you never signed up for. Our contract terms in April. We are switching to a competitor. Almost 20 years with Brinks, then ADT when they bought them out...we are DONE!

Sold our house 2 years ago but had a contract! Called today to cancel.on the phone for 1.5 hours. Spoke to 8 people!!! Finally got it cancelled! Never again! Had to threaten the last person by saying we would call the BBB!!
Hour wait to cancel service
Today I called to cancel my ADT service. They had me on hold for an hour before customer service picked up. I terminated my service because I was not getting the monitoring service with my ADT pulse part of the system. I would receive emails telling me that my system was communicating well with ADT. That email was only referring to my cellular part of the service. When I check my ADT pulse app and my system is down it shows me that it is offline and it creates an incidence in your log. But as soon as your system comes back up it deletes the outage incident from your log so you will never know that your ADT pulse wasn’t working.

ADT is harassing me about a bill on a house that I no longer own. I NEVER had ADT service. They cannot produce any evidence that I did and they have collections companies chasing me.

Words can't describe how my health has…
Words can't describe how my health has declined since this matter. I have been with ADT prior to 2005 and 2 of my family members have services because the company provided excellent service and was trustworthy. The sales rep asked for my debit card information several times. I refused due to identity theft. He sent me 2 links and asked me to put in my card information for security reasons only. I stated to him that I did not see what I was paying for he stated it was what we discussed. I trusted him. I was to pay for security cameras 4 CCTV at install on my own. Another purchase was for 9 window sensors at install. I was on the phone with the agent and immediately noticed my bank account was drafted, 0'd due to his deceitfulness. The rep was notified of this and pretended he did not know about what he done. He set up both contracts to immediately take funds from my account. He was NOT HONEST. I signed like a FOOL. He STOLE money from my account. He stated he did not know how to fix the issue and never bothered to. I spoken to 1 too many people and frustated because no one can seem to resolve this matter properly. I am guessing that because I cancelled the cameras, he is refusing to cancel the contract for window sensors. People DO NOT SIGN your name to anything unless you can review in it's entirety. Do not allow people to MISTREAT you. This behavior represent greed, bondage and undue stress and it's like the company is desperate for sales. Asked the lady I spoke to for a possible quote not a rep but got one anyway. He showed no concern about how families are affected. Since then 1/2 checks have been refunded. His supervisor seemed not concerned. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. Rating -0.

DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT GET A CONTRACT WITH THIS COMPANY. The customer service team is horrible and rude. They send techs out who are very incompetent. I’ve the same issue for months and they try to make you pay because they CANT fix the issue!!!! Give you a hassle about cancelling a contract. No one should be forced to stay in a contract if the service or devices do not work! The techs they bring out are sooo incompetent it’s mind boggling. They simply hire anybody who can spell their name.
