Do NOT USE ADT!!! 8 of 12 months didn’t have service and…
DO NOT USE ADT …. 8 of 12 months didn’t have service and they couldn’t fix it so we canceled and per contract had to pay for the remainder of the contract and got $700 taken and or our credit screwed Spent about 30 hours on the phone or waiting for tech to fix system which never happened DO NOT USE ADT

CANCELLING ADT
10/05/22 Cancellation of ADT services called the billing department, where after a wait and as soon as they found out that it's about cancellation, I was passed over to the cancellation department, where I had to wait a while for a representative. told her what I wanted and after trying to convince me to stay on, she finally said ok and I ended the conversation. Obviously, she did not relay the information to the proper channel because they are still requiring payment for what I thought was cancelled service! let's get this straight, folks! ADT is not letting go!

I am a senior citizen and my alam in storage room has been going off in the middle of night, I have monthly service and I have been a customer for many years, for almost two decades actually ! My contract comes with services and it says in there that we don’t have to worry about it!!!! I just got off the phone with ADT representative after alarm went off again The ADT representative lady asked me, a senior citizen woman who has been in a car accident last week and has a broken back, to go on a lather In a middle of the night in a storage room to reset an alarm!!! Unbelievable , isn’t it? !!!and that’s all you need to know about their customer service! ADT needs to come here and deliver their promise to fix my system

ADT just sucks not "florida man" but "florida corp""
I just read some of the reviews in the process of canceling (not so easy to do) ADT. OMG, I think ADT is breaking the law in how they hold customers hostage with "no contact" until the customer spends hours and hours getting it to stop.

My system had a problem with the…battery
My system had a problem with the battery waited 40 minutes to schedule someone to come and replace it 5 days later at no point was I informed that I would be charged 253 dollars I called to complain 3 days later a very rude woman called during my work hours I told her it was a bad time and continued to tell me what she would be able to do with no concern for my frustration, I would of canceled the service but I was told I would still be responsible for the monthly payments until the contract was over I would never recommend ADT to anyone horrible customer service

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!
AVOID AT ALL COSTS! This company never answers a call. Instead you get a callback after 90 minutes...if you're lucky! Also, they REFUSE to send out a rep to address problems with your system. Instead they have YOU plug in wires, disconnect lines, even CUT wires while they watch from your phone via video. Also, they will NOT EVER send out a rep to check on your property if the alarm trips and you're out of town. And that line about "We are connected to the police/fire" is a lie. Read the fine print. Worst customer service ever. Don't believe me? Look at all the terrible reviews on this site alone. Once someone finally DOES pick up the phone, they either hang up on you or transfer you AGAIN at which time you get disconnected. And the cherry on top is that you can't cancel for 30 days from request. You can't make this stuff up. I went through the HOURS (literally) of trying to cancel my service. I was on chat on my computer, on Twitter, and on the phone. I have screen shots of the hours I waited to resolve this. Then, when someone finally started the process and read the disclaimer that "Police will not come once it's cancelled" (oh, really?) and said" I'll transfer you to cancel now," guess what? Yep-disconnected. Again. It's outrageous and I am done.  P.S. Your Twitter chat informed me that I can only cancel with an email and a handwritten signature on the email. Ummm, that's impossible. I can do docusign, but a "handwritten" signature? This is so bananas. I reviewed you on Yelp, Trust Pilot, and Google.

ADT is ridiculous
ADT is ridiculous. I had them for 3 years only to move and bring them to my new home. Couldn’t bring other equipment and now I’m getting charged for old equipment and new equipment and now being told to cancel over $6,000. I was told all my equipment charges and agreements would be waived and to get new equipment. The fact I actually asked about the equipment is what pisses me off or else I would’ve unhooked everything myself.

Should called my mom instead
Called to get alarm system support and instead got 30+ minute audio commercial playlist. Seriously how does the company expect to protect anything when they can’t even retain enough employees to answer the damn phones at the call center.

Disgusting service from this company…
Disgusting service from this company engineer booked 3 days in a row no engineer no communication to let me know he is not turning up. Will definitely be ditching the rubbish company. Phone call after phone call and still getting nowhere. The only communication you will get from this company if you don’t pay your monthly direct debit.

Horrible customer service i am scheduled for a technician to call me to walk me through a job they were supposed to perform and never called i then had to call back and speak to another operator who could not create a service ticket for me so she put me on hold for 1hour and 30 minutes buyer beware Adt is horrible

All I need is to make an appointment…
All I need is to make an appointment with a technician to fix a window sensor. That’s all. I have been on the phone over 76 minutes with about 10 of those actually talking to a representative. This is my 5th transfer because none of the 4 people so far have the authority to make me an appointment for a technician. I had to go through the whole explanation with all 4 so far. Still waiting on hold for the 5th representative.

ADT sucks
First time I called I was on customer service for about 2 hours then they hung up on me, the second time I called about an hour then I wanted to cancel just to be told that what I was told my 1 year contract is now a 3 year contract and I have to pay $2000 to get rid of it all and I have not even had it for 3 months but I told customer service representative that I had multiple people go in my back yard which is where the camera is and they need to came fix there crap since I am now stuck in there contract til 2025. She then said let me look at the dates and then send to someone else and he said ohh I can't help you I can give another number that might help so now I am stuck with 63.99 crap equipment that is not doing its job and calling only to sit on the phone for for several hours to reach nothing it is making me angry with ADT.

ADT is an absolute joke and scam!
ADT is an absolute joke and scam. Our house was broken into on Friday, Oct 21. The burglars were able to circumvent the alarm system and then rip the ADT control module out of the wall. Apparently, by doing this it prevented ADT from being notified of a break-in. Ironically, this bad review has nothing to do with their terrible alarm system but more to do with my experience afterward. After the break-in, I attempted to call ADT all weekend just to notify them of what happened. It is obvious they use foreign call centers on the weekend and these representatives were incapable of helping beyond their template responses. Every time they attempted to “transfer” me to an account manager the call would be dropped after being on hold for 45 minutes or longer. I decided to give up and try on Monday morning. So now it’s Monday and I’ve spent the last 3 hours trying to cancel my ADT service. The good thing is I am now speaking to US based support, however, now their main objective is to up-sell you on additional services and NO ONE is able to actually cancel my service. As the other person mentioned below, they keep bouncing you around from department to department while being on hold for 95% of the time. It is so egregious it is comical at this point. I think the only thing I can do at this point is contact my CC company and have them put a stop payment on ADT and then contact our family lawyer.

Miserable customer service on hold over an hour for rep not familiar with English. Asked for supervisor and told was anyone then was supposed to be transferred to supervisor after another hour wait got another rep still no supervisor nor resolution since they can tell it is not communicating Go somewhere else have had adt since 80s and this is unacceptable

Horrible - Do not buy this service. It would be safer and better to get a surveillance system vice an alarm system. ADT will install a bunch of panels in your home that will constantly beep and annoy you for no reason. They will not call the police when necessary. Then, when you want to remove the system, they will put you on hold for 20 minutes and ultimately tell you the equipment is yours, deal with it yourself. Overall, a horrible experience!!

ADT camera have been down for over a…
ADT camera have been down for over a week. After waiting the 90 minutes to talk to someone, we were told that they are aware of the issue and are working on it. I read something that they might have been hacked. It would be nice if we could get an update on the timeline.

Horrible service
I've been with ADT for more years than I can count. We have a "communications" issue that prompted us to call for service. After performing the requested test (meaning lots of our time to troubleshoot) the system did not clear. The ADT tech stated "it might take a day or so to clear". It did not. Now, about 3-4 weeks after the initial issue, we have another communication failure. This time, after waiting over 2+ hours, the ADT rep stated there was no record of the previous call and that we would have to run the test again. I call BS. Not my issue that the previous call was not documented and after insisting that I need a tech to troubleshoot the matter on-site, I was told it would be $60. Really? We'll see what happens but Simply Safe is looking pretty good.

Worst service ever
Someone broke in and adt didn't even rang. They said they would compensate and would call back in 24-48 hours but they never did. Took 1 hour waiting every time and nothing ever got done.

I have been dealing with adt company…
I have been dealing with adt company for last 15 years and for last 2 times we have huge problems with adt, one of my business location have signal problem then i called adt hold more than 1 hour & didnt fix problem give time after 5 days. also now i tried on their website myadt.com &they gave appointment & job # 116049787 but today on saturday technician called me that its not physical appointment. again after 1 week they give me appoitment for physical technician eventhough the key pad is not working at all & they dont care even i tried to speak with supervisor but they give answer that u 'll be called after 48 houirs. my experience is so bad & i wouldn't recommend adt to any one to use this company they dont listen their customers just call & go their website & i am determined to switch as soon as possible. T

Frustrated in N.C.
I have been trying to reach ADT Tech support for about four days. The time to speak with a resource has been at least 90 min so, Oct 21, 2022, I decided to try the option of leaving a message with my phone number for ADT support, holding my place in line and calling me when a rep was available within 90 min. It's been 4.5 hours and NO ONE has called and the wait time is now over 100 min.
