Bad services I call for new services they make the appointment for today they call me about 10 am for tell me they need reschedule my installation for next week and I said no I can’t doing next week I don’t want the services so they tell me don’t worried we pass today 12 pm to 4 pm they never coming not call , arround 630 pm customer services call me 2 hours later for “apology “ because the technician don’t pass for my installation 2 hours later bad bad bad services and now I saw the review and here I saw you have 2 stars only I thinks you need put all that’s technicians in training again because for running a business the first is the punctuality if you don’t have that your have to close your bussines

I read many of the one star reviews and see that ADT always responds with “send us an email to Alwaysthere***.com”. So, I decided to send an email to them as follows: Hello. I’ve attempted to resolve my battery issues unsuccessfully and multiple times. I have discussed with your technician on several occasions. I have a new appointment set up for this week but I am concerned this will be an additional waste of time. Hours on the phone and no solution? Send me a new DBC835-v2 already! Take the easy path to customer satisfaction and resolve this hardware problem quickly! If you can’t resolve this quickly, I will be one more of thousands who have already left you a one-star review.
Went from the best to the absolute…
Went from the best to the absolute worst. Now that customer service is outsourced you wait 45+ minutes for support. Was told my 22 month system was under warranty but they still charged me- took a total of 3 hours and still waiting to resolve. Try the chat instead hahaha the lag time is so bad that took over 30 min of chat and the person apologizing in chat about the delays and then she asked me for my info all over again after I gave it and it was in the chat string. I’ve been a customer since 1999 and I will be cancelling. I can’t say any more strongly how terrible the ADT service has become.

If I could give no stars I would. ADT customer service is horrible! They leave you on the phone for 2+ hours and when you do get to talk to someone they either hang up on you or they transfer you to someone else and leave you on hold for another hour or two! They have no problem charging you for everything ex: we needed a new battery and it took about 8 weeks to receive it but when we changed it and it was also dead. We ordered another one and also got charged for it but never received it. So we called again got charged again and it took another 4 weeks to get it. I DO NOT recommend adt to anyone. Please save yourself the headaches. I thank god my contract is finally over so I can stop dealing with them.

ADT has a good security system but the customer service is the worst. I waited on line for almost two hour and when the ADT agent came on line she put me back on hold and then hung up one me.
I WILL NEVER USE THIS COMPANY AND WOULD SUGGEST YOU DO THE SAME.
OVER ALL EXPERIENCE IS A ZERO. DO NOT USE THEM.
Absolutely worst service
Absolutely worst service! Have been with them over 20 years and cancellation is a nightmare when selling your home, even when new owners take out a contract, ADT charges you . Will NEVER do business with this company again! Forget calling customer service as they will put you in hold forever and keep transferring your call with still no help. BEWARE!
Also, the reply to email me does not solve the issue! I tried several times to talk to someone and was told they would look into it and call me back. Never received a call back!
A Very Poor Service
Being an ADT customer for around 20 years I am appalled by the lack of consideration they now show to customers. The customer care side has certainly deteriorated over the years culminating in engineers now not turning up to pre-arranged appointments.
The problem had been diagnosed twice remotely and accordingly an engineers visit was arranged. This engineer failed to turn up despite waiting in all day. A further two more visits planned but both hit the buffers as engineers failed to turn up again. A very poor service.
On Oct 2nd 2022 I wrote to ADT spelling out my concerns on this shoddy service and asking for an explanation of these unacceptable practices. To date I have not received a reply.
I would not recommend them to anyone looking in this direction. Its not cheap anyway. There are alternatives.

When we first decided to go with ADT with the new home (I've had ADT since 2012) it was purely cause the salesperson committed to a monthly monitor fee of $51 per month. I purchased another 5k of equipment again (I purchased 4 to 5k equipment 3x in 3 different homes the past 10 years) based on the understanding the monitor fees would be 51 per month and stay at that fee. However, all of a sudden I start receiving bills with monitor fees of almost 100, double of what was promised. Several weeks ago, I called ADT executive line and told them of the issue. They stated it would be reviewed and the monitor fee would be adjusted. However, nothing has been done. This is unacceptable and such a horrible way to treat a long standing customer that has spent so much money purchasing ADT equipment multiple times for almost $20,000 in total! They are a fraudulent company that baits and switches consumers. Absolutely the worst, be aware!!!

I have been an ADT customer for over 6 years. I reported that 1 sensor had gone bad and needed to be replaced. I worked with a troubleshooter to try and work it out. The problem continued. I called back to see about getting it fixed. I waited an hour for a callback, was transferred around to 3 different people before listening to a recorded message for 30 minutes about how important my time and I were to them before being bluntly disconnected. I called back only to be told that I needed to be transferred again. I am currently waiting 95 minutes for another call back. Again, I need to have ONE sensor replaced! This is my only example of ADT’s customer service.

I have a ADT smart alarm had it just 5 Months had lots of problems with Video door bell in the it picks up everything that walks past my property had many engineers appointments but keep cancelling appointments and now even cannot get engineer to remove system (Thursday) 6th October the engineer cancelled Job at 15.30 without phone call now booked for Friday 14th awaiting cancellation again would not recommend these cowboys
Just wait until you have to cancel
The service was ok I suppose, but if you try to cancel they will tell you it takes 30 days per policy to process cancellation. What company in this day and age takes 30 days to process cancellations - very lame.
Aggressive sales for an awful experience
I signed a 3-year contract with ADT through one of their aggressive 3rd party dealers, Defender, in Louisiana in 2020 and paid $1500 for equipment and installation, with $65/monthly monitoring fees. I sold my house in 2022. They told me on three separate calls they cannot uninstall the equipment for me to take to my new home and tried to get me to have the new owners take over the rest of the service agreement. The new owners didn't want the service, so we took the equipment with us. ADT charged the remainder of my contract, so we decided to try to use the equipment at our new rental. They gave me the runaround for 2 months, to no avail. They even sent a consultant to my house to try to sell me more equipment! Unbelievable waste of money and awful business. Stay away from ADT.

I have had ADT for years and it is awe full now! Customer service in some far off country, multiple disconnections, un answered email, long wait times, poor technology, and questionable protection and security! I plan on canceling!
No personal help setting up
Purchased 2 commercial systems for our 2 locations. They make the pitch to sell you but they don't have anyone to show our employees how to use their system effectively. Their response was to go read an 80 page manual, watch You Tube videos, or call an 800 number to try to get assistance.

First, I tried to get service with Safe Sreets, an ADT subsidiary, when I found out they wouldn’t give me the veterans discounts I qualified for, I called ADT directly. I am a veteran and they tried to deny me my Veterans discount.I found out that Safe Streets froze my account for 30 days.
Two months later I tried ADT again. They scheduled for a tech to come out and gave me the discounts. The appointment was from 1200 to 1600. The tech did not show up till 1900 and his computer app wouldn’t work. He spent about 1 hour trying to fix the app but was unsuccessful. I did call at 1615 and they offered me 2 months credit. I called and rescheduled for the next day. At 1930 I called again and asked the supervisor, Kimberly White, who asked what she could do to fix the incompetence, to throw in a motion detector for wasting my entire day and now rescheduling to take another day away. She had a nasty attitude on the phone and opted to lose a patient customer instead.
ADT is a waste of time.
This company is worthless when you need…
This company is worthless when you need a simple answer. I switched Wi-Fi services and have spent way too many days trying to get someone to help get my cameras connected to my new wifi. I've spoken with many techs, gotten call backs and have been hung up on. I'm looking for a new service. I'm sorry I ever selected them.

Service used to be decent, that's no longer the case. On hold average is 77 min. press 1 for a call back. When they call back you have to wait another approx. 25 min, called several times. I have been out of service for 1 week, after 24 yrs., I'm cancelling my service, if customer service is this bad I wonder if they are really even monitoring.
Worst customer service
Worst customer service. Took 4 phone calls to cancel my service. Each time I called I was on hold for 45mins each time. Finally got thru today and was able to cancel. Still took over 30 mins to be connected to the right person! Wouldn’t recommend their service due to canceling being so hard
Beware!
Without question, ADT has the absolute WORST customer experience I’ve ever experienced. I have been attempting to have a simple issue with a camera solved for weeks. After over 6 hours (wish this was an exaggeration) spent on chat, email, and phone, we have no resolve and 0 apologies from ADT. As of today, the issue still stands, but we now have a $59 service call fee to add to our already overpriced monthly bill.
Everyone passes the buck to the next person who will ultimately be unable to assist. It truly feels like some sort of endless scheme that you cannot escape.
Without going into every detail of this abysmal experience, I’ll sum it up…don’t walk, RUN away from this company.

Their customer service is a**. I was on the line for more than 50 minutes then a lady picked up and transferred me. Then that other lady "transferred" me but the line was dead silent for a good 20 minutes but I can hear background noises, I said hello at least 5 times then I was put on hold with that music thing then someone else picked up and asked me what the problem was which I had to say AGAIN and then she said something about a technician getting to me and hung up on me. Why do all that for?

After 7 years of service I had a CO2 detector go out. When I called to have it replaced I was told I needed to upgrade my entire system for $1200 and start paying double my monthly rate for it. 4 hours I was on the phone. Cancelled my service. Horrible business model.

Failed to show up for the appointment, when I called to talk to customer service I was passed to 3 different people and left on hold waiting on the 4th... no one cared !!!! I was on the phone 26 minutes when I had enough !!!
I will NEVER use this company, I am going to their competitors to find a solution.

If I could give less than 1 star I would. I've been dealing with a bad CO detector for 6 months now. When I try to get any help I get the runaround and am transferred between departments. I have had ADT for over 10 years, and I'm at my breaking point. I would love to cancel my service but no one will answer the phone, oh and guess what you have to call to cancel!!!
Simple issue, incredible wait and transfer times.
Since ADT has gone to robots answering service calls service is horrible. Misdirections, confused problem evaluations. Horrible hold music. Humans that don’t really know answers so you wait then get transferred and it happens again. This is just crazy. I had to hold and speak with reps for 1 hour 33 minutes….. and at the end “we’ll have someone reach out to you in 3-4 days. LOL! You’ve got to be kidding. I’ve been with them for 11 years but am I ever looking around now.
