I am just calling now to cancel due to ADT failure to show up for a scheduled appointment and fix the technical issue. Also they installed the sensors on the windows in the middle making impossible to open and flip the window to be able to wash. Someone called and said the appointment is virtual, I told him how you are going to virtually re- install the window sensors? I asked them to come to the house as they said initially and how much it will cost, they won’t tell how much is either

If I have less than 1 star, I will give them. Adt installed camera to my house and when I was not satisfied with the service I called them 2 days after the installation but since then, they have been playing games. They go into my account and remove money. I went to the local office in Bowie and they came to remove the camera. After removing the camera, adt continues charging my account even when I do not have the camera up till now since June. I’ve called several times but they kept transferring my calls and at the end of the call, they will say someone will call me back. Nobody has ever called me back. I’m tired of Adt and their dubious action. ADT stop charging my account for services I don’t have. People need to be aware of their dubious act, so they don’t fall victim. If you need to install their camera, it’s a scam and you still get charged for it even after cancellation.

Don't bother.The real thief is A.D.T.They have no intention of helping u all they want is your money.The real hook is the early cancellation fee. You sign and your out three years of fees. Repeat don't bother.

Frustrated
Frustrated. Told when I cancel services when moving and pay off contract that I would get half of the bill returned to me when new owners set up monitoring. I spend one day a week on the phone with ADT to try to confirm my refund. Hours on hold. HOURS! When I get a person on the phone I am transferred around, on hold, then speak with a non English representative. Tired of it being my responsibility to ensure I get my thousands owed to me by weekly call ins and being told it is in the computer system after I go through the whole process with each new representative. Have several phone numbers to call and no one actually gets it done as I am told the check is on the way. Terrible customer service. Thinking I will contact BBB.

Terrible. Go with SimpliSafe instead. ADT will raise your monthly charges when you're not looking and then they make it nearly impossible to cancel. On hold 30 minutes and counting just to cancel the account. You cannot cancel your ADT account online - not possible. When I started with ADT I was billed $28 per month. Now they are billing me $78 / mo.!!! To further clarify.... the final upshot was that after 1 hour and 20 minutes on the phone and the orginal rep wanting to bill me $900 to cancel, ADT admitted they had been billing me $78 for the past year + when they should have been billing me $29. Even so, the first rep would not let me out of the "contract" they we almost triple billing me for. Only after getting upset and speaking with a supervisor did I end up with a $700 refund. It was just a horrible way to spend my Monday morning.

If I could give them a -0, I would! Horrible to use for security. Horrible customer service. Horrible wait time on hold. Horrible when cancelling and getting refund. Horrible representative on the phone. Camera view is horrible. Never use them! They are a joke and need to be out of business! This is so sad because I am a military spouse and woman owners business with two kids to take care of to have to waste my time calling for months to get a refund. Awful. Run away from adt They suck!

Terrible customer service especially the local reps Reed Turchetti and Mark Fauble. Beyond poor follow skills. Regarding business services, these two do not care at all about the people they affect

Constant technical issues
Constant technical issues. Monthly monitoring fees increased, yet system is constantly experiencing technical issues (camera offline, app issues, does not always record when camera detects motion, etc.) I called Tech Support, was notified hold time would be greater than 30 minutes; I attempted to utilize chat option at website, was informed I was number 52, please be patient. My app is not functioning properly, so I cannot view any possible activity on cameras; attempted to log in at website (on laptop), log in is experiencing issues. Each time I have issues with their equipment & request a technician on-site to resolve issues, I must negotiate with them to avoid repair fees. This company is NOT worth the price paid for monthly monitoring fees. I am currently searching for alternate systems.

ADT a total Sham of an operation
I have been an ADT customer for over 15 years paying them a Monthly Fee for Monitoring, maintenance and Servicing. All i can say is that this company is an utter disgrace to its industry. They have been charging me monitoring Fees for over 3 years and all this time they were not Monitoring any alarms and when my Alarm went of and there were no response from them I called for an engineer who told me that the phone line was NOT contected by ADT to there monitoring station. I am cancelling and goinmg with an another provider , They are NOT an ethical security provider but a SHAM. operation

This is the worst company and costumer service
This is the worst company and costumer service for sure. Once you sign up.. the bad experience begins. My cameras system always have connections problems and when you call costumer service they just transfer and redirect your call to different departments and always blame each other but at the end of the day they doesn't help you at all. Wasting of time. Providers are not honest people at all and they ignore you when you need them to check your security system. I'm going to cancel my service for sure. Waist of money and time.

If I can do a no star or negative stars…
If I can do a no star or negative stars I would. I simply called for a broken motion sensor to be serviced but got the attitude customer service instead of being helpful. In order to get a technician out for service she has to get an approval. Finally I got the golden tick for the service and the appointment is from 8am to 5 pm basically I have to plan to waste my whole day for the service. This is how they treated you after being their customer.

ADT- Worst Experience
With the 3G going away I got a text stating I needed to call. I called ADT to be told I have to update my cameras at a $ 300.00 charge. I decided to wait until my contract was up. I called to cancel; ADT told me we will fix it for free. I took the day off from work, for the tech to come in my house and say they cannot help me. I called ADT frustrated; I took the day off from work for a tech to spend 5 minutes telling me the people who answer the phones do not know what they are doing. Called ADT again waited for an hour on hold, to cancel. The woman told me told me that I was paid in full on the contract, I could cancel. She offered me $ 19.99 a month promising she would get help with the issue. I got a text 10 days later that I needed to upgrade my equipment. I called today to cancel, I have had enough, to be told that I need to give 30 days' notice. NOTICE for WHAT... they do not do anything. No one on my prior calls said I needed to give 30 days' notice. The woman told me I should read the contract, you mean the verbal contract that was never mailed to me. Stay Far Far away.....

IMPOSIBLE TO CANCEL

We have had ADT for 9 1/2 years
We have had ADT for 9 1/2 years. Over the past 4 months our control panel chirps for no reason. We have PAID to have a technician come out to say there is nothing that they can do. Two days ago a technician told us to turn the sound off on the alarm. That isn't real safe now is it? Once the yellow triangle disappeared we were supposed to turn the sound on because everything was okay then. WRONG! We have lost two nights of sleep over the alarm continuing chirping. We called ADT today and they want to charge us again for someone to come out. They need to replace the control system but they would rather lose a customer then do the right thing. We are moving on from ADT

Where do I start. I have had ADT for 20 years, and the last 2 years their customer service has really gone down hill. They do not have enough people working for them so you have to wait and wait to talk to a representative and then wait weeks for them to come out to fix your equipment, which seems to always be going out. The worse part is once you finally get a rep on the phone, they want to set up an appointment for you for weeks later just to have someone call you. Not come out to service your equipment, just to call you Keep in mind that during that time your equipment is not working. Last December I waited one month to get someone out. I had no ADT during that time. I called to cancel but they offered me a financial discount for a year. I am in the 8 month of that year and my equipment broke AGAIN. I can't take it anymore. I am on the phone with ADT now to cancel my services. So far I have been on hold for 22 minutes - long enough to type this review. UPDATE - After waiting 38 minutes I am still on hold with ADT, I have to some how get in contact with them so I can cancel. This is ridiculous

I wish I could give no star at all for this horrible company. It’s like the biggest scam on earth. Choose any other service I mean any one you can find! Just don’t choose ADT. Worst customer service on the planet.

Don’t go with ADT
Hey I’m going to start off by saying this is my opinion but adt will promise and try to make it sound great so you will get it but it’s not worth it . They don’t care after they sell you the alarm system and don’t even think you can get out of the contract because I’ve tried 6 months guarantee is a lie read the fine print please the cameras are not good they go out all the time . ADT doesn’t care about blue collar workers nor do they care for you’re family and safety. The truth is the truth. I’m not mad but I want others to know. Thank you for reading

This company is death. The worst company ever and that’s even before Xfinity. They make it imposible to cancel. You get put on hold for hours and get transferred to incompetent agents. Avoid this company at all.

ADT has to be the worst business…
ADT has to be the worst business possible. In 2020, I had to close my businesses due to covid. I lost my wife, kids, home, and businesses in a month. While going through this mess, I had called service providers and others that I was doing business with to update them on the shops closing, and they were great. UNTIL I called ADT! They were cold, and so unsympathetic. I was trying to close out the account and they would not close the account even though the businesses were gone. I escalated it to an account manager and he was even worse! It has been almost 2 years and I am STILL trying to get my accounts closed!!! It is very obvious to them that the businesses are closed and that ADT is not providing me a service, however they will not close my account and have been charging me the whole time. ADT IS THE MOST UNETHICAL BUSINESS! I have talked to so many people in start up business networking meetings and given my story about the how BAD ADT is. 100 percent of all the people have gone with a different security service provider. I will continue this movement of letting people know that ADT is the WORST company to do business with, and I have proof. Obviously, all these reviews are proof as well. I will show also be showing all these bad reviews to business owners and startups that I talk to. NOTE: If I could give a negative score I would. 1 star is way to kind for such a corrupt business.

SO FED UP WITH ADT
so saturday at 4am my smoke alarm went off. (was false alarm) and I was asleep and not home. luckily my neighbor was awake and told the fire department such. Now that wouldnt be that bad if this was the FIRST false alarm, no its happened before and ive had there techs come out and replace the battery. Ive also had other issues with there techs not helping (one tech turned off my system to upgrade the panel and couldnt turn it back on, (I had to wait almost 2 weeks to get another tech to come out) and he fixed it in like 5 MINUTES. so today fed up I try to cancel cant do it online I try calling and a 38 MINUTE hold time and no callback. im about to rip it out myself and throw it on my lawn so update i tried again. they transfered me I waited 25 minutes finally talked to someone that could cancel. talked with someone they randomly put me on hold then hu on me. I WOULD GIVE YOU GUYS 0 stars cause your customer service is atrocious but im unable

I have been with ADT for over 30 years…
I have been with ADT for over 30 years and I can say unequivocally that their Customer Service is absolutely terrible. I can’t get a human to answer my call, when I leave a number for a call back it never materialize, I get put on hold for over an hour, and yet after rebooting my camera several times it still doesn’t work. They are not fulfilling their obligation. We are looking at canceling our service and going to a different provider. I regret upgrading my system. Obviously there’s no respect, response or consideration for the customers. Weigh your options before signing on the dotted line. It’s not worth the aggravation. 😡🤬😭 Actually 0 Stars!.

ADT engages in unethical billing…
ADT engages in unethical billing practices. For example, ADT can begin your service in 24 hours. However, they require 30 days to close your account. So if you move out of your house on the 10th of the month, and you gave ADT ample notice, they still bill you for the entire month. It’s just another corporate “policy” to take money from the consumer. They make extra millions by ripping off consumers. When you call, you get bounced from one department to the next and put on hold. My experience with ADT was poor all along.
