Roadside assistance customer service is very unprofessional. They will not help and will hang up on you if they don’t know what to do about a situation. BEWARE

I was on hold for 30 minutes
I was on hold for 30 minutes. The “tech” I got was speaking rapidly and was hard to hear, because of either an accent or mumbling? When I told him I wasn’t understanding him…he hung up on me. This is not the first time I’ve been cut off or hung up on. I am trying to resolve a problem with my system and went so far as to buy a battery for the system myself. But can’t even get it to charge. A complaint to the customer service depart 10 days ago, resulted in being told to call and Mayan apt, but have been put on hold or cut of so many times that I wasn’t able to even make an apt. Customer service said they would waive their routine fee of $94 plus because I had been a long time customer. I am tired of the PPP Service from this company. They can’t even be bothered to help customers, and then are rude or not knowledgeable about the problem. This is not the first time I’ve had problems with ADT, BUT it may be the last!

ADT should work smarter
ADT should pay more attention on what the customer's needs more than their needs. My house is 2 story house. I called and requested 2 guys on the job to fix my outside cameras. They sent only 1 guy out. They said that they need to send one guy to come out and check it out? WHY? ADT should understand that people have the works to do. They don't have to take 2 days off for ADT to work this way.

Horrible company with horrible service
I've been on hold with them for nearly 30 minutes just trying to cancel my account, and the representative wanted to argue with me trying to find out why I wanted to cancel. I had to yell at her just to get her to agree to cancel. They're snakes.

ADT IS ONE OF THE WORST SECURITY…
ADT IS ONE OF THE WORST SECURITY COMPANY IN America. ADT went in my chase account and took out $765.25 and when I called them they said they don’t know who took it out I should call my financial institution and made a complain because they are not the one responsible yet in the statement it is ADT that is stated with their PPD ID number which they deny. There are also another statement that is taking $13.92 from my account which was also inquiry about which they also deny. I had made several attempts to get them and no respond. One big mistake they make is link my husband information with another client and it seems this is where the mistakes are. That client closed his account and it seems as if they are using my information to get money to pay the bills. We called several times to have the changes done and nothing happen. I had asked what it takes to get the account fixed. Everyone you come across open a different can of worms and you goes through more then six persons and you have to repeat the whole situation over and you spent at least 6 hours to come up with nothing. I am now seeking legal advice to file a law suit for my money because the chase Bank said they are the merchant who took the money and gave me a print out from the statement.

Absolutely THE worst company I have ever encountered
I have sent MULTIPLE emails and calls to this company. The BS follow up from ADT means NOTHING. These people will NOT respond or help you. I have tried IN VEIN to cancel my service. They responded by deactivating my control panel so I now have an ugly useless piece of hardware on my wall that I can not use. AVOID THESE HORRIBLE PEOPLE AT ALL COSTS!!!!!

$70 a month for junk hanging around the house
Please save yourself from the cheap equipment that they sell to you for an outrageous mark up and if it breaks while under warranty, they will charge you, unapologetically, for a service call….to fix their own junk products. The door and window sensors work sometimes and don’t work the other times. I can walk into my house with the house set on “Alarm Away” and not set off any alarms. We have asked for help and we are always told there is a charge. No accountability for poor customer service and cheap equipment. 3 year contract where you’re stuck with random junk around your house and a sign out front that says you’re protected.

I’ve always had Adt back in New Jersey
I’ve always had Adt back in New Jersey, I’ve been living down here in Florida for the last two years worst service that I’ve ever experienced I’m a single woman that lives in my home. Do I feel safe absolutely not I’ve had technicians out here four times to fix my camera and my ring doorbell to no avail! Try getting a hold of Adt once you get someone you’re given a dummy number. Yeah that makes me feel safe! I will be getting rid of Adt and getting another security system if I can get a number to cancel not that I have a contract. Do not get the service! Really Adt called me today from New Jersey I live in Florida and I’ve been on the phone now for 45 minutes how is that for service? Do you not get ADT service! Still getting dummy numbers. Buyer beware! Really Adt you keep on responding to me but I cannot reply from your email! Who are you kidding? Service is great from the municipality! But if I need customer service there’s no avail! Since July 2 I cannot record anything and I had a technician out here two weeks ago. I’ll just keep on writing. Chaucer dr. Weeki Wachee Florida and I’m sure you have my phone number. I will not edit my review it is the truth! Really you need a picture of me to post this review? How about if I just press charges against you invasion of privacy! How does that grab you!

I've had this service for 6 years
I've had this service for 6 years. my first contract was basically up when i bought a new home and they forced me into a new 3 year contract. which ended in April. I called 3 x to cancel, first two times on hold for more than 10 minutes and had to hang up, you know, work and all. finally, the third time I was on hold for 25 minutes. yes. that's right 25 minutes, all the while being told that emergency calls were a top priority, but when the nasty customer service employee answered the phone, when I could hear her outside of her multiple kids screaming like hoodlums in the background, she was just as rude as she can be, zero effort for service, I told her I appreciate her doing her job but I'd been on hold and I just wanted to cancel. she told me I needed to let her finish she's not a sales person. then don't try to keep me at this company. complete trash, for an at best average product but hey, thanks for the 6 years of payments and BTW, even though it took you 3 times calling in, we're going to charge you one more month. I'm guessing that Ms know it all didn't actually cancel my account and I'll have to take it to the bank to force stop the payment based on her malicious attitude just gross

Avoid like a plague
Save you some headache and avoid ADT. You will be glad you did - trust me on this one. Worst service I have ever experienced. Sales people tell you the wrong information just to make a sale and service technician show up to only tell you it’s impossible. Big mistake, I missed so many red flags and now I they won’t even let me cancel the service that I don’t need even though I need to upgrade my service to a more expensive business service with them. SHM. Stay away.

Terrible service
This is one of the worst and most difficult companies I've ever had the displeasure of dealing with. Since buying my new home, I have been receiving flyers in the mail on a nearly daily basis. I have called twice to get taken off the list. The first time I was told "it's not illegal to send you mail," while the second time I was just told that they don't have my address and that there is nothing that they can do. I have emailed them and I am hoping that that will resolve the issue, but the fact remains, their customer service, for new clients, is so bad that they can't answer a simple query to be taken off a mailing list. They have no scruples, they're just vicious corporate pests. Take your business elsewhere!

Stay away from this awful company, you have been warned!
I have sent this company MANY emails telling them I am discontinuing the service. They just keep sending me invoices and I keep throwing them away. They have reverted to calling my phone three times a day. This has been going on now for almost two years and I am sure the bills are adding up. This system NEVER worked correctly. I thought the ADT name was quality. NOT SO! My control panel has multiple error messages that I ignore. The WIFI has been shut down as well. It is a useless ugly piece of hardware. I will be getting another company soon. There is NO customer service and NO ONE ever emails me or calls me in the time I have had this POS system. There are so many other companies that actually care about their customers. DO NOT USE ADT!!!!!!!!!

ON THE GO button. Did not work fast when it was finally needed.
My dad took a terrible fall outside on his walker. The on the go button he wore around his neck did not work the first and second time I pushed it to get help. The third time it finally come connected. The month before it was not tested as it should be at the beginning of each month. A rep, called me to tell my dad that she would be testing it again. He had not heard his phone. Long story short the month before this happened the rep never tested it again. This is the 3 unit we have had replaced due to volume issues and charging issues and this one seems to not respond fast as well. I could have just used me cell phone for 911 and that would have been faster.

One of the worst experiences I have had…
One of the worst experiences I have had with any company. They are absolutely terrible in system upgrade, customer service. I cancelled my account back in April after being on the phone for more than an hour and received a bill for $260 dollars today after 3 months. We have a different system. They can’t even go check that I haven’t used my system in 3 months and all the sensors were pulled out when the new security system was installed. When I told them they don’t care as they don’t have access to technical department!!!! I would not advise anyone to get ADT as they are horrible in customer service.

Abysmal Customer Service
ADT has a giant customer service problem. Last Friday I spent 45 minutes on hold, after selecting each numeric prompt. The endless loop of apology for the wait/we know your time is valuable insults the customer while they watch their battery drain. I tried the various phone numbers and departments, finally reaching a fast talking script-bound agent who ultimately told me to call back at 5 am Monday, I did so and over 72 minutes was put on hold, relayed to the wrong department, and spoke briefly to two humans. There is a real Wizard of Oz quality to their customer service—is there anyone competent available behind their curtain to help us paying customers?

Horrible customer service
Horrible customer service. System would not work called for someone to help fix but no one would come out just kept sending me equipment to fix myself. Again wouldn’t connect! Called to fix again no one called back. So went to cancel and was completely talked to disrespectfully! When I asked for a supervisor he said no he was a manager. Then I said no I want to talk to someone else again he said no!! Do not use!!!

We are trying to cancel our account bc we are moving. I’ve spoken with three different people in customer service and in total have been on the line for over an hour. Mostly on hold. This is ridiculous. I don’t have time to waste like this. I will never use them in the future.

Don’t waste your money. Unless you want to reboot your system every other day and your camera not work half of the time.
I’ve have had ADT for not 2 months now. My door bell camera never works and it’s currently not working and hasn’t work for a month. Our backyard camera won’t even turn on. After 90 days ADT charges you $69 every time they have to come out there. The door sensor fall off. Complete waste of money. My total was 1700$ we paid 700$ out of pocket of and we had a 1000$ voucher and free installation fees. It’s a complete rip off the panel box alone is 700$ It’s plastic. This company is money hungry. Also our ADT installer straight up told us don’t even bother calling tech support, because they are no help. I should of took the hint there. I will be canceling there service!

I've been an ADT customer since 2020
I've been an ADT customer since 2020. During that time my doorbell and back yard cameras have rarely worked. Repeated calls to customer support to get the cameras back online has been a time consuming and frustrating experience. I've spent hours on hold, only to have the problem persist. Requests for onsite troubleshooting costs $169, with ADT telling me that network connectivity problems are beyond the scope of its support responsibilities. ADT customer support is abysmal!!! Avoid this dinosaur like the antiquated relic it is.

I’m a new customer and regret it 💯% when I called to set up a new acct the young lady gave me all the information when the guy came to install he gave me different information. Ended up speaking to a supervisor and got it cleared away. Right after that I was double charged took a bit to fix issue. Now a month later I’m charged a larger amount that was NOT part of the agreement!!!!!!!! Called ADT customer service and WOW the WORST customer service ever!!!!!! Had to call 4 different times wanting to speak to a supervisor. 3 times they transferred me to a different dept and lost call on the 4th call I was on hold for over an hr for a supervisor and never got through and lost call again. Think twice before starting services with them to much running around and misleading.

Absolutely scandalous
Absolutely scandalous. There is always something wrong with our system equipment and they constantly refuse to fix it, tell us to buy incorrect batteries, waste our time, and then ultimately charge us more fir their faulty equipment. Utter scam.

ADT brings back Soviet Competence and Service
In 2021 and 2022 we made several attempts to get ADT to fix errors on our system – it all started with a faulty panic button that they simply did not have the will and the technical and organizational wherewithal to fix over a period of 9 months. This probably took some 30 hours of our time – you know the evenings on the phone with ineffectual human bots and waiting for visiting service personnel who either replaced what didn’t need to be replaced or couldn’t do anything because they were missing this that or the other. When a fix failed, it would be another 2-3 weeks to get someone else out (and then rinse and repeat). The only way we could even get this “super-fast” level of attention was to call the cancellation extension where the real pros would step to string you along. We finally got Ring (cost $1,000) and it was only when we had the installer out messing with the system did ADT realize that we were serious about cancelling. Strangely, they mentioned with lament that we were leaving them after 12 years but they never really did anything to show that they wanted to keep us satisfied (but they seemed happy with the monthly payments). For those of you considering ADT, think of the 3-year contract and the huge hassle you would have to go through to make things work if something goes wrong. They will take you for granted even if you're not locked into a contract. These days, with options like Ring and Simplisafe out there, it is insane to get locked into a contract with an incompetent organization that has a Soviet style service ethic.
