HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE! First the customer service is TERRIBLE. Technicians do not keep enough supplies with them, so you end up having to deal with another service call! CELLBRIDGE signal spent a week on the phone with ADT customer service and every agent that you talk to tells you something different! No one seems to care when you have a problem or what you have gone through trying to get something working. No loyalty programs no matter how many years you have stayed with the company. Would definitely NOT RECOMMEND! Do your research and find out for yourself how bad they are!

Run away from ADT as fast as possible
Run away from ADT as fast as possible. The monthly fee was over twice what was quoted. After over 5 years of service, we moved and it took multiple calls to disconnect service. In addition, they tried to charge our credit card after we terminated service.
No Service Or Support But Still Charged Monthly
My wife purchased a kit, and when I went to set it up nothing would work. I called support and they said the setup could only be one on an iPhone at the moment, and they would call back with a solution. We never got that return call, but continued getting charged a monthly subscription fee.
No service, no help ... only threatening letters.
Been a loyal customer for years.
They keep charging me but don't provide contractual service, don't reply to emails and I haven't had a working alarm for months.
Now they keep sending me threatening letters but still don't reply to any of my emails. They are terrorising vulnerable customers.

Shockingly bad
Shockingly bad. I pay a lot of money for this service (which I plan on cancelling after today). The service went down, so I called for assistance. In response, they send me an email with an attachment and the below patronizing text. Pathetic.
"Dear ADT Customer - Thank you so much for being part of the ADT family and calling us today to assist with your issue. Here is some self service info about Pulse Gateways that we believe will empower you to be more confident with your self-service skills and hopefully in turn feel more secure today. We appreciate you choosing to be a part of the ADT family and we look forward to serving you again."
Update: after spending 90 min with a tech on the phone, which included endless troubleshooting and even a pitch to sell me new equipment, they finally agreed to send someone over. The in person tech determined that their equipment failed. So I spent almost two hours of my own time helping ADT identify the fact that their gateway was defective. Is that where things are now with ADT? They should send techs over to handle their tech issues at the onset. Absolutely a downward trend with this company.
Appalling service - Avoid if you want your home / business protected
We have been a customer for over 12 year, paying for a top package every month to protect our home from fire & theft. Alarm being triggered and no response from the key holder should be directed to the police. Unfortunately we had a fault due to a telephone line issue and ADT decided instead of contacting the key holders as per policy, to send a letter which arrived 10 days later! 15 working days since our fault with no service or working system and many phone calls / emails and still no one assigned to our complaint. To make matters worse they have still taken our monthly direct debit for a service we have not received! If you want home or business protection unfortunately these guys do not offer a 24/7 service and customer service is quite frankly appalling ( if you can get through 45p a min) already cost us over £20 trying to contact customer services with waits over 20 mins.

If I could give this company a 0 I would. I have had the worst experience of my life with ADT. I will never be returning and on top of that I will makes sure every one of my friends and family are aware of this company. I had an installer come to my house on 3/21/22 where the contract stated that our security system would be the same that we have now but it is an upgrade with ADT. This was not the case. We have 5 motions in our house. The installer said he could not get them to work. Instead of trying to fix everything he left it as not working. He left all his trash within my home, did not pick up his mess. Same day I called and cancelled my contract because I was not happy. They told us one thing and they didnt follow through with it. When I complained about this to "Mike" the sales rep who came to our house he said he could give us discount on the motions which the motions were included in our original quote. The next day a new installer came to pick up the parts. I called customer service to get my refund of the first month bill around $60, They said it would take 72 hours to have a branch manager to call me. Its now been two weeks and not one person has called me. I called the business 9 times, Ive been on and off the phone with reps, managers, etc. and no one has resolved the issue. Do not hire this company!!!

I have been a customer for 20 years. Do not do business with ADT unless you enjoy a bait an switch. Their sales department says one thing but they charge you another.
They refused to repair their installed equipment. It has not worked for 3 years. I finally had to sign a new contract with them just to get an installer to look at it. They scheduled the appointment past the 3 day right of recision date. Their customer service said we could opt out but now they say we are stuck in the contract. They increased the monitoring fees, too. The fees are also well above competitors’s prices (and above my neighbor’s). Plus they charged us substantially to install the new equipment. My neighbor received the same new equipment for free despite being a customer for less than 20 years.

We’re forced to sign a contract for services we did not want and could not get through to cancel. They are unresponsive to emails. Yet they constantly cold call existing customers. Their pricing practices are inequitable. They do not stand behind their equipment/products.

I have been a customer for 18(sh) years. For 2 months I have been calling about a massive error on my coverage and monthly payment. I am constantly talked over (give me the 2,000 word wine and dine) and I can never get a manager or supervisor on the line. Just this week they finally fixed my billing (after I had to pay hundreds of erroneous dollars) but there is a customer/home on my account (same number) and I cant get ADT to fix it. I wrote a letter to their CEO on Indeed, we'll see if he reads/cares. AVOID THESE criminals like the plague. It's a shame...they basically have a monopoly on this industry and they know it!

I cannot express to you how much you should absolutely not do business with ADT. Their equipment does not work. Period. End of story. My house was burglarized while the ADT system was armed. It did not do anything. No local alarm. No call to police. Nothing.
Needless to say I’m no longer interested in paying for their services. I have been given the run around repeatedly on the phone trying to cancel the service. 5 different agents so far. And they’re expecting me to pay a cancellation fee. Save yourself a lot of headaches and do not do business with this company.

Been with this company for years but recently they’re horrendous in every area. I understand a new guy at top has sacked the engineers and outsourced to others. Have a fault, engineer came, said he’d order a part a week ago but still they can’t tell me if it’s been ordered or when it’ll be here.
BUYERS BEWARE
Please, Please listen do not go with ADT period. If you ever move you first either have to sell the product to the buyer and pray that want it. Two, you have to pay once again for a as they say Qualified Technician to come remove the system and then you have to turn around again and pay him to remove it.
Once you get moved they will come and install it, just know if any additional coverage need paying again. I was told this by a representative, well think of it this l this if your vehicle is repo’ed you still have to pay for it even though you don’t have it.
So if you ever leave the move it is in, just know you will be required to pay for the remainder of the system even though you don’t have it, yes my wife and I are losing over 2,000.00 on a system you know longer have.
I can totally promise ADT for me to never recommend this company Absolutely Not at All. ADT will give you the nice ole we just got over on you approach. Then suggested to added it in to price of your sell heck if the new owner don’t want it you again will pay that system off one way or the other like now effecting your credit scores.
Oh it’s their system however they don’t tell you when you getting all this great sell approach you are financing this system through a third party not ADT.
MY BEST ADVICE IS TO TOTALLY STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY, go to Home Depot or Lowes and buy you own and then you want get screwed all you pay for is the monitoring.And you can take your system with you without additional fees being added.

The salesman lied about what we would get and when I called ADT and then emailed them (as they requested) multiple times about what we were sold and what we were delivered they never responded - not ever!!

BEWARE!!!! This company is a fraud along with Safe Streets they work to scam you and hold on to your money. I cancelled my service within 24 hours of sign up. two days days later I was charged a monthly fee. I called again and was told I would be refunded with in 3 to 5 days, and that a person was coming to pick up the equipment NO SHOW. Called again to be told I can't cancel through ADT it needs to come from Safe Streets. Two weeks later still trying to get my money back and to be told I had to cancel with ADT. which I did and there's nothing they will do until the equipment is picked up which I've scheduled multiple times and they do not show up. I was told today 4/1/22 that once the equipment is picked up it'll take two weeks to receive the refund. These people are nothing more than scam artists
ADT ARE CRIMINALS
Do not use them under any circumstances. ADT is a bunch of thieving liars. My control panel goes completely unresponsive every 4-6 weeks. I've had to keep taking time off from work because their technicians only come out during office hours and if you want to wait for a Saturday but the equipment failed on Sunday night you're without service or monitoring for a week. So the reasonable thing now is to cancel, right?
Well- they claim they have a money back guarantee but never let you utilize it. The terms are- supposedly- that you can cancel in 6 months if you're not satisfied. But if you attempt to they will tell you the technicians needs to have made 3 separate visits to your service address to fix the problem. Once that condition is fulfilled they tell you but you HAVE TO talk to your local ADT office or billing & cancelation is going to force you to pay the remainder of your contract. I've been waiting on a call for TWO MONTHS. In-between which the techs have made 2 more, separate visits to fix the control panel, and another one scheduled this Saturday.
Only, now I'm told the techs or whoever internally have been doctoring their records so it shows they were out for a different reason each time. Pretty sure falsifying work order records and stalling to force you to wait out the length of the cancelation period is illegal.
Who the heck are ADT supposedly claiming to protect your home from??- they ARE the criminals. Who's protecting consumers from them? I can't believe these criminals are still in business.
Look them up on AVVO. There's reports of ADT forging signatures, charging for equipment people never received or got installed, cancelation charges well over 1000's, etc
False Fire Alarm Caused $200 in damages and ADT refused to pay.
Last night I received a notification stating CO2 detector detected, however I don’t have any CO2 detectors in my home. This was a faulty sensor that reported the CO2, which I contacted ADT twice about to no avail. ADT sent the fire department to my home and they ended up breaking in my door, I was quoted $150 for door repairs and $50 from the county for a false alarm fee. I called ADT and explained to them I don’t have Gas appliances nor CO2 detectors. All they offered for my damages was to give me $60 in monthly credits and replace the sensor. So now I have to pay $200 for damages that ADT was liable for since my sensor was DOCUMENTED as faulty.
Unhappy customer
I bought the blue from ADT and was completely dissatisfied with it. Couldn't get no one to come install the equipment so I sent it back. I want the money back for the monthly payments and purchase of the equipment.
I bought a house that has an ADT alarm…
I bought a house that has an ADT alarm system set up but I didn't activate it for myself. It started going off nonstop with a low battery reading and I wasn't able to push in the shut off code. It wouldn't allow it. I called ADT to ask for help and they were the absolute rudest people. I had been hearing that stupid alarm go off for an hour before calling and then was passed around by the rudest people. Granted I am not an active customer but you would think they would be more polite about helping me turn it off. I would never be a customer after that experience. I thought about getting it set up but haven't done so and now will never. The woman was explaining what to do but wouldn't not let me talk to explain that my set up didn't have just a white or beige cord that could be unplugged. I have two beige and one white thick wire that go up into the ceiling through the wall on the floor above. She insisted I just wasn't listening to her as she was telling me to unplug something that couldn't just be unplugged. I am so glad I am not a current customer. Now I just hope I have no more problems with this box. I did disconnect one wire from the battery and it stopped but I left one and there is no way I could unplug something that is wired in.
Its a constant headache
Its a constant headache. First was the magical bear that would appear only on 1 camera not the others like the doorbell (wasn't fun opening a door to yogi in my trash), im.constantly booted out of live feed and only get to look for 3 - 5 seconds. then some reason I end up having to delete old videos I already deleted, sensors never seem to work properly and im still waiting for the replacement one that the guy broke during install. They left a massive mess outside even left the box wide open. I've called to many times I no longer bother. But thanks for the payment increase for a system that doesn't work well.
Poor service
Since November of 2021 I’ve had a zone 3 code error. After 3 techs and the 400$ bill I have started to troubleshoot it myself. The kids they sent have little experience with wired systems and I noticed they really didn’t have a clue even to test a window switch. The 3rd tech to come after multiple delays, offered to upgrade the system. This was approved by me and C…s said he would put in a ticket and he could do this upgrade in an hour’s time. So I wait with a house that has limited protection. Finally I get a message from Wichita that they want to follow up to see if the job was done ok. Also that they had made multiple attempts to contact me, which I doubt, and they will be dropping the tickiet and closing this order if I don’t return this call. One hour later called they had no idea who I was and could find no work order or estimates submitted by the tech worker. Even though this system was installed in the 1990’s with original company crimefighters then protection 1 out of Portland oregon now under ADT. After a long hold they transferred to a lady that asked how many windows I have in my house. I was put on hold, I gave up after 30 minutes. They my be ok for the big clients but the small residential customers are just a pain for them and they will chase you away with huge repair bills that are for no service.
I really don’t think you should get a star at all.
Here’s the Bill for the So called labor charged. These guys did not even try to troubleshoot this code error. Only an upgrade estimate which I agreed for but never recieved. Shame shame on you guys. Nothing but a bunch delays for months and no shows to appointments made. Side stepping this is to - bad as before ADT came in it was a good service with protection one. Today I went in and removed switches and tested the zone in question using multimeter and screw driver and at panel box. Have come up with the system having a keypad problem as the zone still alarms and activates on intrusion. All be darned took me a old retired dirt farmer 20 minutes to diagnose and no one will pay me squat. Nothing.

My driveway camera malfunctioned
My driveway camera malfunctioned. Support from at least four different telephone customer service reps and one visit from a technician to do trouble shooting has not rectified the issue. Each one of these people confirmed it was fixed. No, it is not. I pay a sizeable amount every month for the security system to be monitored and maintained. It is not and should I now head to the Better Business Bureau?
