Advisors are completely useless
Advisors are completely useless. Alarm going off in the middle of the night and all they can tell me is to get an electrician out in the morning to disconnect it!

I’m under collection with ADT for…
I’m under collection with ADT for equipment that was never installed and for services that was never provided, I was building my house and a year before completion, I signed w ADT to install the equipment a year later, within 3 weeks I was charged $2 K on my CC , and I was charged $39 per month for equipment and services I never received, I made many many calls to ADT that was a waste of time , there is no customer service they are in to get your money, once u give your information you are , you nightmares begin

ADT and their contract companies
In the small town of Thomasville,, GA, I attempted to provide security to my mother's home, as it would be empty for a period of time. I live 1500 miles away. 1st the person you speak to on the phone is not ADT but a contract company. The one contracted for ADT for that area was out of Tallahassee FL. They never tell you they are a different independent company. Their sales people were very unethical and would say what ever they thought you wanted to hear, which I figured out later. The installation lasted until 1030 at night. Then the contracts were signed. I never saw the contract before then. I left town to return to my home 1500 miles away the next day, as I had been gone for 3 months. The contract ADT now has contains not my signature but someone elses. We discussed a two year contract not a three year contract. The security design that was set up by ADT's contractor, the garage was broken into anyway and not only was robbed, but the motion sensor, chosen by the ADT "expert", was also stolen. When time came to un-install all the equipment for which I paid $2400, I had to deal with the contract company again. This service was supposed to be free with a free installation in my home to finish out the contract, which at the time I thought was 6 months left on the contract. An oily salesman with the contract company told me to leave the equipment and they would credit me $1800 to use at my house for the transfer. I knew this would end up costing more, and demanded a supervisor. The supervisor arranged the removal. I set up the re-install I was promised in my home only to find out I had been lied to again. It is not to finish the contract, it is to start the contract over. I canceled the install, threw the equipment away, and told ADT good luck collecting what you think I owe you. I will die first. They are a sleezy corrupt company. They are responsible for the actions of the greasy contract companies ADT hires, yet ADT does not think this to be the case. The customer must deal with the two companies independently

My parents have ADT and enjoy it
My parents have ADT and enjoy it. I called with a promo for a free doorbell. They charged me for the doorbell and began billing me the monthly rate before I had all the equipment installed (a day after I got it in the mail) I finished setting up the equipment and called customer service this morning. They said ADT blue is a different department and I need to call a separate phone number- the rep gave me another clients phone number- I called back and a different rep did the same thing. I called again ready to cancel and the operator said they would get me to sales- the sales rep was not empathetic and said he needed to give me a number to ADT blue- I told him that this was the third time someone was trying to give me a phone number and I would rather be transferred or have him resolve the issue. He assured me it would be the right number- it was the number to an investment group I called again and told the operator I need to speak with ADT blue and I really need to reach the right area this time. He assured me he would connect me to blue- the person I was connected to told me i was in the wrong area and they had a phone number for me to call. I hung up. Trash company and trash customer service.

The absolute worst company
The absolute worst company, zero service, they lie to you, give you phony confirmation numbers, they don’t show up on appointments causing you to skip work for 2 days and they won’t even follow up. Cameras don’t work most of the time, 2 out 3 have not worked.

Horrible service
Horrible service. Called in because I was told I needed to set up an appointment to get a cell bridge over for my parents home. Called a total of 7 times. Got put on hold for 20 each call, told I was gonna get a call back if call was dropped and never got a call back. Finally was able to get a hold of the manager and was told that it was plug and play and that I was given the wrong information for EACH AND EVERY ONE of the reps I talked to. Was a told waste of time. Their workers don’t even know what they’re even talking about. And will not call you back if they promise to do so. Manager also was a condescending pr*ck. Because of this I’m ending my contract with ADT and using a different company. And I also urge anyone else reading this review, to spend their money elsewhere.

Worst service
Worst service , after I canceled my service they still bill me, when I call customer service they assure me there should be no balance but they dont fix the statment for me. They will got your money with lousy help Never use this company

ADT customer service has gone downhill…
ADT customer service has gone downhill and ADT hires inept people. I'm a long time customer and will be reevaluating my home security when my contract is up. I had 2 separate issues recently and spent 2 hours either on hold or conveying my equipment issues to the people answering the phone. ADT's response to my review is for me to call them to discuss. ADT wants me to waste more time on the phone trying to connect to a representative. How about you call me? Ridiculous!

Adt are absolutely rubbish , ok when u set up full of promises but when going never sought faults out and when they do never turn up, beware don’t use this firm they just take your money with no service

ABSURD TRYING TO CANCEL SERVICE
WWe have been trying to cancel our business and home ADT security contract for several months. We have called repeatedly and been put on hold for over 45 minutes almost every time. We have usually given up after an hour of being on hold as we are working individuals and have to work in the field quite often, we simply can't be on hold for this long of a time. The times that we have stayed on hold for extensive periods of time and somebody comes on the line we are put on hold again and then after holding for another absurdly long amount of time the phone hangs up. This has happened repeatedly!! We are unable to cancel the service. I have suggested just not paying but I do not want this going on our credit report. We have paid for several months home and business service that we did not want and we are at our wits end as to how to resolve this. We have contacted the BB and We are hoping they can help us. We have begun recording our calls and documenting contact with ADT. We are considering contacting a lawyer to help resolve the issue as we have paid for several months of service that we did no want.

Poor customer service
Poor customer service. We had ADT for 8 years and we tried to cancel due to moving homes. The rep didn't complete the necessary steps for cancelation so we got billed 2 additional months. When calling in to dispute, we were told that the notes in the system show the rep failed to cancel but we CANNOT speak to any management at all and it can't be disputed. On top of it we now have to cancel as of today and wait another 30 days with another full payment. Customer service is absolutely awful.

ADT security system is unreliable
ADT security system is unreliable We are so miserable to have this service Camera stop recording consistently When you contact a customer service rep to report the issue they ask you a question such as "did you consume the cloud storage?" if I did then I would've known where the problem is and besides it resets every first of the month I called on the second I had problems with the ADT security system since day 1 and yet they declined to cancel ADT would like to penalize us for their poor service This statement needs to go out to the public to avoid more victims of this hideous service

ADT is a complete rip off I wouldn’t even give them one star if I had a choice on here.My neighbor wants ADT I’m going to tell her don’t waste her time.They can’t even send a technician out to help properly set up the equipment.And will still charge you a outrageously cancellation fee even within the 6 month period,where it says you can cancel out with your money refunded. ADT is just a money hungry company and not concerned about the customers safety at all.

I will never use ADT service again
I will never use ADT service again. They tell you one thing and do exactly the opposite. I used them for 21/2 years and had to pay $300.00 to cancelled my contract. I cancelled the contract because they kept increasing the price every year. Then they call trying to lower the bill so I would keep there service.

ADT service complaint
My recent services from ADT have been terrible, I have been a customer for 4 years, and I recently moved to IL from MO, had 2 months left on my account, called in and requested the service be cancelled, the rep says okay. When i got to the new house, checked my account and there were charges for my services, so I called ADT and they sent someone out, the new house already had ADT devices installed, so I told him that I wanted to just transfer my services here for the remainder of the contract, and that I was considering another service, first of all the rep spoke ill of the other service, saying the had hidden fees and so on. I told him that I did not want a new contract with ADT just finish out my old one, so now I have a new contract which cost me more than the old one did, I have called the office and a rep told me that I was misinformed and the service cannot be moved, has to be a new contract. I have spoken with a manager and he says he does not have the power to cancel the service. I do not recommended ADT services for anyone, they do not explain the complete process, and the system in my current home is extremely old, it belonged to the two previous owners, I was also told I would receive key fobs, that did not happen, this has been one of the worst experiences with a company i have ever had. Not recommended at all.

ADT is not a trustworthy company
ADT is not a trustworthy company. I called to cancel my service in early September. I wanted to put my request in writing and they said they only take cancellations by phone and that I would be giving 30 days notice. I completely understand the 30 day notice. Canceling by phone gives you no paper trail. I knew that I would need to pay out the remainder of my contract through December 31, 2021. It took 4 phone calls to get the final total to be automatically deducted from my bank account and to cancel service. Two ADT employees quoted me the exact amount, to the penny for my final bill. That amount was deducted and I then closed the automatic draft service because I had paid in full. Now, I am getting bills saying I owe more. I have spoken with ADT 6 times and they have not been able to resolve my issue, so I have asked to speak to someone at a higher level. ADT staff tell me someone will call me in 24 to 48 hours. Still no call from them. I continue to receive bills and I am certain I owe no more. My advice....BEWARE!

I would give ADT a minus 10 stars. I called to cancel my security system as I had sold my house. I had the system for 2.5 years. They charged me an early cancelation fee. I understand if I was just cancelling for no reason. I sold the house. I moved to a rental so I couldn't have it installed. Why should I pay for a service that I can't use and in a home I no longer own? Horrible business practice. Also if they do call out the police for an alarm, the police charge a 100.00 on top of what you pay to ADT. rip offs.

I have another service, Was considering changing to ADT, Called them and found a rude , customer service fellow! That Wanted all my information, before I was ready to buy his product! He was basically a jerk, I figured they are too!

Avoid at all costs - Prey on people and Unethical
The worst experience I've ever had with a company - hands down - I will go out of my way to help friends and neighbors to not let this company near them. As a young new homeowner (24 years old) oblivious to the world of owning a home I was approached by a very pushy salesperson who claimed he was coming to turn off the current security system or something along those lines. Of course now I know it was just a tactic. Told me how unsafe my neighborhood was and how i could get an amazing deal on their system. While all of that ended up being way more expensive than the salesman pitched to young me - i went along with it and had the system. As for the commitment? Three years - but as the salesman told me... The cancellation fee is very small - just a few months of your monthly fee. No more than a few hundred bucks at most. When we got to the paper work I was a young idiot who didn't check that clearly - because that was a lie. He also rushed me as he had to "make his next job" As for the system, It worked fine - now that i've had other products I can assure you it is nowhere near the best on the market. Onto the nightmare. 9 months later, I moved from the house and kept it as a rental property. My tenant used the system for a couple of months and absolutely hated it. Said it went off all the time and refused to pay that extra 50 dollars to me as part of the rent. No big deal - I was just going to cancel it. I knew that there would be a cancellation fee but remembered my conversation with the ADT salesperson - not going to be a big deal. Wrong. January of 2020 I spoke with multiple people who told me different information - but when i got to a manager he told me i'd be able to cancel my account at a super low cost of around $240 and acted like i was getting a great deal - and i was happy with it, as it was on par with what my sales guy told me. I was incredibly tight on money and set that over 12 months of $20 payments. Month 13 - a charge for $55.99 (my old monthly cost before cancelling). This continued for another 8 months before me realizing (I was going through some personal/health issues for months that controlled my life... and the monthly charge was on a card not checked) - I'm flabbergasted at what I've been charged when I thought I was done paying AT&T. So I call.... and it gets taken care of once again! (stay tuned) ... An apologetic rep tells me she sees in the notes the account was cancelled a year and a half ago - she'll be issuing me a refund, and got my new address to send the check to. So we're good, right? Wrong. When a month passes and no check arrives I call again - get to a manager - only to be told there is no note of this refund happening and that my account was cancelled when I called in, but I still owed money for October/November. Told me i signed a contract and that they could credit me my november prorated balance of $14 but there was nothing else she could do. So basically, I was lied to. Multiple times. I was preyed upon - continuously told false information. I am not in a comfortable financial space and this has taken a toll on me. I genuinely beg all of you reading to not get involved with this company. Unless they have any decency and can accept their reps misleading me and refund me money I feel I deserve back, I will continue to share my experience.

I have been waiting for an agent to cancel my service: I think is the way to keep billing at you! They are very rude and they disconnected the phone calls 4 times! Very rude and dissatisfied customer services I know my rights and I am reporting this! Is so unpleasant!

Be sure to read the fine print on their contract. After a month of non use because of installation problems that were never fixed, thus for 6 months the system was not used. Realizing that we had to go 6 more months, we continued to pay for a system that did not work. We assumed that once the 2 year obligation was met and that the system did not work, that our payments would not continue. Wrong, read the fine print, "you must call and cancel the contract," which we did not do. As a result we got charged 4 more payments that were made on credit card on file. The disputed charges were not satisfied. I own 24 schools that use several companies for security and did not easily recognize the disputed charges. Obviously we will never use them again. Be careful of companies that use fine print to get away with deceitful tactics.

Do Not use this company
This is the worst company I have ever had the misfortune to deal with. After multiple calls they left me for 4 1/2 hours with a deafening bell and 6 times the service engineer was on his way and and would ring in 2 minutes. When he finally arrived I had him disconnect the entire system permantly. I so hate this company.

ADT representative please act immediately as per my request for account number 403099652 What appears to me is that the ADT is a total scam company. I have look up online and there are lots of litigations, class lawsuit actions, and lawyers doing individual lawsuit against ADT, what I am going to do and recommend everyone to do is to contact some of these law firms and provide them with all their documents. Thankfully, I do have a recording log of my phone conversation, and I am going to use them in the court of law if is needed. As a customer you have the right to record all your phone conversations for your own personal goods. It is a federal law that permits you to record phone calls, so if you are a party to the conversation. Federal law (18 U.S.C. § 2511) requires one-party consent, which means you can record a phone call or conversation so long as you are a party to the conversation. So, please to all the innocent customers that fall in the trap of ADT do the following for your own goods and others. Record all your phone conversation with ADT representatives as they follow the direct orders of the company’s board of directors. Next, please consider sharing your documents and evidence with lawyers that are taking litigation, class lawsuit or individual lawsuit against ADT and demand your rights. More importantly, report ADT to the Department of Consumer Affair and Bureau of Better Business which both parties help protect consumer’s rights. Worst experience.
I am getting back to you in regards to the review and wanted to provide you with our address 700 e rodeo rd apt 156 casa grande az 85122. The first person we talked to advised that he would call back in 1 hour and never did. My husband then called back several times due to not receiving an email to sign the contract and get the equipment shipped. He just received the email today. We feel due to the inconvenience should atleast receive 1 full month.

Got robbed at gun point and now by adt
After 2 years of calling over and over to get the panic button we paid to have installed put in...we get robbed. No panic button to push but ADT fixed all this by sending us a bill for the rest of our contract. BBB complaint lodged. Oh....and the woman on the phone could care less that we were robbed...in fact I think she found it rather funny. Edit: After response and contact again by ADT they have decided to drop our balance to zero.
