Stay away from ADT
Stay away from ADT. They were unable to keep me safe in front of 2 cameras. They lost the footage twice and offered a letter. Jacked my contract up two time$ . Wouldn’t pay them their last payment after 3 years because they wouldn’t refund the money they took from my bank account. Now they call me twice a day , six days a week over $100. They will scam you

I asked for a Pulse system and ADT rep insisted the Control system was a much better choice. WRONG! System runs out of storage after 3 weeks and every month I have to go online to restart it. I asked ADT several times that I was unhappy with the system and wanted to switch to Pulse. I realized ADT sucks and now I’m stuck with 3 years contract, at $59 a month. I should have bought my own security system without monthly fees. Especially now there are so many choices online.

This company is a disgrace. Iv been with them for at least 13 years and haven't really had an issue. But my husband died in January suddenly so I asked if I could get the account in my name they not until you send his death certificate so I did .they kept sending letters in my husbands name and wouldn't speak to me .even though I was paying the bill every month in my name.i decided to cancel my account because of all the hassle and had the system replaced by an upgrade system a bought myself. I was paid up to date. Months later they are still sending me bills in my husbands name it's paid up to the date. I supposedly cancelled it. I don't know what to do I am sick of it ongoing they won't listen to me.

I ordered service through Safe Haven.. I was told once I move the services would be relocated... I haven’t despite many calls to Telus and ADT and Safe Haven received any call back or relocation! Yes I’m pay the monthly rate!!! Extremely disappointed and even when Telus called several times to promote phone service and service requests to alleviate my issues I have had 0 response and it sickens me! If you cannot stand by your contract why should I!?! The representative from Safe Haven was crude and mentioned wanting to date my daughter!!!! He also said discriminating and cruel remarks about ppl down the street ( disabilities) given the fact I am and do proudly support persons with disabilities I found this disgusting! I would never recommend Telus or Safe Haven or ADT after this experience and FOR THE LOVE OF GOD I HOPE YOU SHAKe YOUR HEAD AND NOT ONLY PROVIDE THE SERVICE I SIGNED UP FOR AND PAYING FOR SOMEONE DO THEIR JOB AND GET BACK TO ME!!’

I’m shocked that this company is still…
I’m shocked that this company is still in business with the so called service that they purportedly supply. My system hasn’t worked properly in months, yet I continued to pay the monthly fees. I called to cancel my account and was talked into upgrading to another package. I waited over 2 weeks for an appointment and confirmed this appointment the day before the scheduled technician was to arrive. ( This is two days before Thanksgiving and I have relatives staying at the home where upgrades were to take place). They said tech would show between 8-12 the following day. So, I waited and finally called to see when he would be getting there only to be told that they see that I confirmed, but that the technician canceled and would not be coming. I tried for hours to speak to a service representative about canceling my account and reimbursing me for at least 3 months and got nothing but people passing the buck, and dealing with automated recordings. If I were you, I’d steer clear of ADT. Services are not rendered and it’s not worth the time, energy, or aggravation to try to cancel.

BUYER BEWARE!!
I contacted ADT to get a CCTV system installed. The salesman (Scott Furley) came around on time and as promised. We discussed the requirement and agreed that we would instal 5 cameras - there was a price of £865bquoted which I agreed to. He then said because of some "standards" ADT have to adhere to there was an annual maintenance package of £42 a month - I asked how long for - he said - just 12 months. I agreed to that also and probably because I agreed to it straight away he felt he missed a trick and said - "actually its 18 months sorry, my mistake"....a bit suspicious as to why he wouldn't know that before he quoted, but I agreed. "An engineer will be out to fit it within 10-14 days - they ring you to make the appointment". I paid £432.50 on the spot (50%). So 2 weeks later and no appointment. I ring the sales guy to ask, he's surprised no-one's called...I then asked to cancel there and then. He agreed and would get someone to cancel the agreement. Nothing. I then ring or text him most days to find out what's happening to my £432...he won't answer his phone now - its not just my case apparently - its loads of his customers. I've rung the accounts department twice now (Benedict and Yulia) and they are supposedly trying to get the cancellation team to respond as they see that I'd asked to cancel and have £432 owed for over 3 weeks...I STILL DON'T HAVE MY MONEY BACK AND NO SYSTEM AND NO CONTACT FROM THEM AT ALL. I wish I had read the reviews - which in general are awful

Don’t bother with them.... if you get a problem their engineers don’t seem to know their *** from their elbow...
Engineer came to change battery in our remote...he checked rest of sensors etc as part of checks...transpires that most of our WiFi sensors had been connected upside down the past ten years by this firm and this was the first time it has been pointed out. He changed them back to normal position. Then said he couldn’t get out of engineer mode in our alarm system. After 15 mins he said he had managed to. Later found out he hadn’t and our system was not working. All lights flashing on main panel And remote. I called again. They said they’d try and get someone out but it was looking like 2 weeks wait as a lot were on holiday. Erm not my problem...I’m still paying full premium for a service with lack of staff. Then was told someone would come the following week after 5pm but I’d receive a call that day to confirm. Never got the call that day. I had to chase up again... they had to book someone in again. At 9.30pm still nothing. I called again and they said they couldn’t let me know what time but it could be any time in the night!!!

The equipment is horrible
The equipment is horrible. Cameras constantly go offline. The representative that hooked up my equipment never answers the phone now to fix issues. Initially he told me that the reason the camera constantly goes offline is because of the cold weather, then the camera died and they did not and would not provide a charger for it. You would think after paying so much money for the equipment they could at least provide a charger. I hate I signed a contract. As soon as it’s over I’m getting something else. Also, the app sucks. It’s slow to load by the time you get notification of movement on the camera it’s over by the time you open the app to see what’s going on. It does not always record movement but gives an alert that movement has taken place.

I signed with ADT in august 2020 . Since than I have nothing but issues. Bad customer service, poor quality of product, locked into a contract where they are not holding their end of the deal by providing security and reliability. I’ve spent numerous hours on the phone with ADT over and over again. Non stop trying to fix another issue. The sale rep let me down, the manager of the sale rep let me down personally as well. Than an Adam Davis called me asking me how he can remedy my experience. He scheduled 3 times an appointment with me, 3 times he found something better to do and stood me up. Now not even returning calls nor text. Today the representative on the phone just hung up on me. I asked for manager and bilking as of of over 3 month paying ADT they inky served me maybe 3 weeks where everything was working. I pay high prices for the lowest quality and the most unreliable Security company with the worst customer service. One day a tech came to install my cameras. Half way through he decided that he was to hit and did not want to continue to finish the job. So he left. I’ve been left 1 week without my cameras until they decided to show up again to finish the job. 1 week of me paying for non existent service. I have a whole list to put down but I am afraid to run out of phone battery although I just charged my brand new phone. I highly suggest to think 10 times over before choosing this fraudulent institution deceiving you into believing that they care about you, your home your safty. Be aware that they will lock you into a contract and you will end up paying a lot more than you originally signed up for .

I have been a customer for at leas15-20 years— I have a problem where the system beeps all the time — the same problem happened a year ago — the customer service person said that the problem should have been corrected at that time— when I called the service rep and said it was happening again she said that I had an old system and it would take 2 months to schedule a technician to determine the problem— I have a service contract that I pay for every month and she said it would take 2 months to determine the problem — sad case for a major company to say 2 months to fulfill a service contract- worst customer service on the planet— excuse was the lack of certificated service techs — needed to hire more techs — poor excuse!!

I am out of work due to the pandemic..
I am out of work due to the pandemic and can no longer afford ADT services. I am a single mother of three trying to make ends meet. I contacted ADT to cancel my services and they recalled having to pay a termination fee unfortunately I was not aware I had a contract however that’s my fault for not reading the fine print. It is completely out of my control that we are in this pandemic and I spoke with three different Agents to see if my fee can be waived. They offered reducing the fee but what is $120 going to do for me out of $1099.18. How can I pay any fee when I am trying to catch up on rent and other bills. They weren’t much understanding and didn’t really seem to care which is so unprofessional. I’m not even upset but just hurt because I cry enough having to deal with my struggles and now this is just another form of stress added.

I’m honestly counting down the time until I can get this system out of my home ! I’m on my second system now because we moved homes it says if moving call us so I did and long story short had to cancel the old contact to set up new one. My tech sent to my home was nothing but a creep and spent pretty much the whole day here, I had to do the the majority of the set up cuz of covid and was told I’d be charged around 100 $ the bill was $400. ? And during a pandemic way to over charge and rape people. And after that the tech tried adding my social media’s the guy is in his 50 + and I’m in my 20 s. Adt is horribly over priced and has rude customer service.

I am a long time Telus Mobility…
I am a long time Telus Mobility customer as well as ADT. Was advised that I needed to upgrade my system so I complied. VERY, VERY, poor service. Took 3 calls to book appointment and get work order and price corrected, including escalation to manager. Installation was a disaster. Installer was asked 5 times to put his COVID-19 mask on properly and was constantly cheating. I explained that I am a senior with a heart issue but he said that he knew better. We even have photos to prove it, including the Alarm System photo from the keypad when he was testing the system! I complained to the Customer Service Desk who said that they would escalate to Customer Retention. Never heard back! Never mind that he broke a window frame during the install and would not admit it, and that he never connected the siren which he said that he had done. Obviously the acquisition of ADT is NOT going well. This has not been a good experience and I would not recommend this service.

Bad bad bad - avoid
Several attempts to cancel the service which I didn't contract in the first instance and then I gave up. I disputed the bill for $124 and they said they would get back to me but never did (and thats despite the 5 Nov ruling from the ACCC). In the end, I paid it on 6/10/20. Today I get a letter from a debt recovery agency and I call - despite quoting the receipt number the extremely rude person in the billing department refused to sort the problem and said they will get back to me. Right. Stay away from this poor service dishonest mob.

Adt is a terrible company who only is profitable off cancelation fees. It’s 2021 almost... get a Ring account. This company is history once the world catches up and stops signing 3 year agreements.

We moved into a new house and…
We moved into a new house and immediately reached out to ADT to install security (before we even moved in). On the day of installation (09/09) after the work had been done the installer asked me to confirm the details of the contract with the person who he had called. I picked up the mistake that they wanted to charge me $58/ month instead of the $27. I asked them to correct it and they agreed. At the end of October when reviewing my bank statement I saw that they were still charging me $58/ month. I called and spoke with an agent was cut off and had to call back then spoke with Jim (ID 22922), Rod (ID 120838), Sam(antha) (ID14842) who actually started fighting with me and made me feel like a liar ... and that I did not ask for the correction and so it cannot be done (even though the day of the installation I asked them to correct it!!!). I asked each one of them to listen to the call on the 09/09... I spent almost 2 hours on calls and being "disconnect" or transferred, each time I had to reexplain my situation. Eventually I was transferred to someone Aree (ID 6140606) who was able to listen to my comment on the installation call and they are sending someone to sort it out... at least this is my hope!

very long waiting time over the phone
I am long time commercial customer from ADT. Once you need to contact them to put system on service for fire inspections it takes long long ....... waiting time to reach somebody. It has never been as bad as now when you wait over 30 minutes to put system on test. ADT is really lost their customer service.

NO TRUST in TELUS (16 year long ADT customer)
Am a 16 year long ADT customer. Telus contacted me to say it was required that I convert my ADT modem to a new one from Telus. Assured me that this will be no cost to me and my current system will be fully functional after conversion. Technician came to the house and declared my six cameras will not interface with the new system and assured someone from Telus would contact me to resolve. No one has called. Am on day 7 without any working cameras and have called every day (1 hour waiting on each call). They confirm my issue has been placed on high importance and every day assure me that someone from management will call back within 24 hours. NO ONE from management has called me back in SEVEN days. How can anyone trust Telus with home security? They have comprimised my security and are too inept to even co-ordinate the simple task of contacting me to fix this situation. Clearly there are some serious issues with this new ADT take over by Telus.

I was promised a $200 visa card for signing up with ADT which I never received in September 2020. I called several times inquiring about it and was told they have no record of it. This is crazy and it is very frustrating. I am sorry I signed for this Alarm system. They are not honest.

ADT has really bad customer service
ADT has really bad customer service. I tried to get them to install a system and they wanted to use the existing keypad that was 20 years old. The installers are unprofessional and didn't arrive on time. I decided to skip the whole thing. Stay away!

A complete misfortune I can not give up anything good to this company today talk to them and I cancel in August and still have bills because, problems in their system is that my problem? My alarm was triggered few times during the two years contract with any simple sound and the security officers arrived 45 minutes later Every time that happened that is normal?

LOYALTY DOES NOT PAY OFF…
I have been an ADT customer for 20 plus years and have really not had to call them with the exception of re-installation when I moved. I have recently, for at least three weeks trying to get out to my house to upgrade one Alarm Panel and have been cancelled after confirming my appointments online, via email and via text message. They cannot give me any reason why this has been done. This is after sitting at home between the window they have given me for every week. This is the worst service and as soon as I can, I will be searching around for a new, more reliable and customer oriented alarm service. ADT is at the bottom of my list for Alarm services. NOT to mention the hours I have had to sit on hold while they transferred me back and forth between Sales Department and Installation department, and hung up on multiple times. 35 Years of Declining Service at ADT
I have been an ADT customer for 35 years and have slowly watched the company decline into oblivion. Here are some of the issues I have experienced: 1. When we were robbed, we found out that ADT had not installed a cellular backup. The burglars simply cut our phone line. 2. ADT used to call us when our alarm triggered. Not any more. I don't know how long the alarm has to continue for ADT to check to see if you are still alive. 3. ADT advised me that my system had to be upgraded to Cellguard. The technician cut my phone wires while doing the installation, leaving me with a wiring puzzle that took about 3 hours to fix. 4. After only 4 weeks, Cellguard is not working properly. Calling to resolve this issue resulted in a 20 minute hold time, and an earliest appointment 10 days out. I guess ADT does not care if your home is protected any more. 5. Your bill increases as the service decreases. Luckily, I will be moving soon and ADT will not be involved in my new home.
