I have spent thousands on ADT equipment…
I have spent thousands on ADT equipment and panels and smoke detectors. My house burnt down with all of the equipment and NEVER GAVE CONSENT for automated payment yet the last three months they have billing me and their ADT department even did the service tests on my apartment address on file. But yet and still they took my money for three months and their superiors won’t come to the phone instead they try to bounce you around to their different departments they care about money not their customers. Their technicians most of the time cannot even hook up they equipment properly for google home a company they tied in with for more money. They can’t even connect the Wi-Fi without charging for literally everything. This company is absolute garbage and have no care for their customers which pay their bills and make sure that the customers are taken care of. I wouldn’t advise angina to go to this company for any service go with anyone else.
They will make it impossible to cancel
I have called twice to cancel because I moved out from the place with ADT system a year ago. Each time they keep me on hold for several minutes and i have to repeat my name and address to at least 6 people. Once I called in April and second time November. Service still not canceled and I keep getting bills for service I am not using. Truely a nightmare.

I which there was a zero star. ADT the worst company. Customer service is terrible. They can’t solve the problem and instead ask for more money.
ADT wont send a technican to fix your system no matter what
Have a problem with the lock ADT instaled in my house. called ADT after 40 minuets someone answered asked a milion questions that have nothing to do with anything when i tried to ask her to geta technician oevr to resolve the problem she (Karen is her name, thats at elast what she said) she told me she will escale me to a special technican and then she simply placed me back in line for anotehr 40 minutes!!!!!!! they basicalya re doing everything they can not to shcedule technicains to come to you if you have a problem you are on yoru own
We have had ADT for over a year
We have had ADT for over a year, at first it was ok, we heard it was number 1. First it's expensive also we have not been able to use our alarm for several months. We have had so many issues especially with the doorbell not working. They came out and fixed it but here we are again it's not working. Customer service is ok. But it's so frustrating. We have to finish contract out or pay 1200$
There are cheaper options out there that do a good job. I learned a valuable lesson

This is the second time in one year we have needed to get our doorbell replaced. The first time we called and did troubleshooting on the phone with a representative for over 30 minutes. We were scheduled for an appointment a week later to have someone look at our doorbell. When our window of waiting for them came, we called, and they said "Oh it was a virtual phone call, is that not what you wanted?" We then needed to wait several more days to get a virtual phone appointment to walk us through troubleshooting our doorbell (which we already did with a representative!) When we got on the call the virtual agent said that there wasn't anything they could do since troubleshooting didn't work and a technician would need to be sent out. That is what we wanted initially! A technician came out several days AFTER that (we are nearing 2 weeks now of not having our video doorbell) and replaced the doorbell. Before he left I tested it and the audio was absolutely terrible. He said, "Oh this doorbell must be faulty, let me install another one." If I wouldn't have tested it we would have been stuck with another crap doorbell and go through this same ridiculous process again. He replaced it and left. Here we are, a year later, the same issue. Troubleshooted on the phone twice for 30 minutes each and then an appointment was made. We were told someone was COMING TO US and that it was marked as a priority as we had a faulty product. We had a 12-12:30 window for them to arrive. My husband got a phone call at 12:28.30, missed the call, called back, and connected with an agent at 12:29 pm and was told "Your ticket is closed, the dot was yellow meaning that our agents are behind and you missed your window so they closed your ticket." Someone was never coming out, AGAIN...it was a virtual call which was not what was promised (just like last year). We actually called back under 60 seconds later and then they said all they could do was schedule us for a virtual call the next day. I asked them to look up my notes (that we were PROMISED were written each time we spoke with someone last year for the same issue) and the agent said "Yeah, I'm only looking at the calendar to schedule not your notes." I said we would be told someone needs to come and replace the doorbell so can just proceed with that. "Oh absolutely! That will be at a charge though but we can send someone." She said she doesn't know why we need someone to come out and look if someone can virtually fix it...well, history shows...people cannot virtually fix it! Same situation. Again. No resolution. I asked if I could SPEAK to someone to talk about my concern and the agent said sure, transferred me, and the voice mail said "Please call back during business hours..." and the phone disconnected. She 100% knew that is what would happen instead of relaying that information prior. EMBARRASSING!
Cancelled account on may 23 we have had…
Cancelled account on may 23 we have had for over 10 years in Florida , however this was not actioned , then further payments were taken until we returned to Florida Oct 2nd , big apologies they would after 30 days refund this , after 41 days contacted chat agent , Paul v Suzette t , waste of time , I have to make50$ call to us from uk get refund of 247 $ , taken nearly 6 months so far and no resolution , shame on adt do not use these people you will regret it!
Review is for my aged father
Review is for my aged father, who after 25 years of ADT service, no longer could see to arm the ADT system. Told he needed a $2500 update package. He refused, and asked to have his policy cancelled. Which the representative did (June 30th), for a payment of time served (see receipt). The check was sent, and cleared the bank in July. Since then, they have sent him robo-rep messages non-stop. They have sent him 2 additional billings and threats. This is inspite of our disconnecting their system inside the house. Their own billing sent in August reflected the agreed-upon "termination price", but they must not look at their own statements, I guess. Can I get a lawyer??

Honestly if I could put zero I would. I have had Adt for 3 years because I was forced too well or mess up my credit. The equipment some of it hasn't worked in a year plus and I called they said I would have to pay for them to come out. I wanted to turn it in and cancel couldn't do that either. I was given false information on how the system worked to begin with and it was to late to cancel in the beginning. Now 3yrs later time to cancel and the equipment that does work is useless now that I am canceling after I had to pay a whole year plus with absolutely no monitoring. I have been robbed and had stuff stolen from my home and lost so much money paying for monitoring I didn't get while paying for equipment that now is useless. Explain this to me?? They robbed me just as bad as the ones they allowed to steal from me. I do not wish this company on any family... I don't know If they could evermore it right. It has been 3yrs it is ending now but the news just gets worse 😕
I have had ADT service for 4 years
I have had ADT service for 4 years. ADT is horrible to deal with, when you call them be prepared to spend at least 40 mins on the phone. I called several times to get my equipment updated but was never successful. I finally called today to cancel my service it took me over an hour to get it done and the so-called Customer Service rep kept trying to sell me and throw promos at me. Very frustrating. Not a good company!!!
ADT sucks!!
signed up for service. It was never told that it was a three-year agreement. I cannot express how much I hate this company. If you like getting screwed, give them a call. I plan to spend the next 2 1/2 years of my contract making sure that everybody I knows how bad of a company this is to deal with.

I originally called ADT for a DVR recordable cameras they did not bring or install Debatik your type of camera that I requested with the original representative. I tried to call back the very next day to cancel the service until they brought me the wrong service. I was told they were gonna call back by 10 PM that night. They never returned my call here. It is a week later I finally got a hold of accounts. They said you cannot cancel your service because it’s already been longer than three days but yet I’ve been calling every day to try to get a hold of somebody and nobody ever wanted to answer the phone or they will call you back. Will call you back if you don’t want to wait on the phone will call you back call you back, but I never do very, very unprofessional and very very disrespectful, do not use ATT for any reason now they’re telling me I have to pay a cancellation fee of $4000 because I didn’t get it within three days. Well that’s ridiculous. I’ve been trying to call since day one and I even told installer that they sent me the wrong equipment ADT you suck.
Nightmare to cancel!
Today I tried to cancel after 17 years of service. After talking to 3 diffrent people the last girl's name was Carrie she made it nearly impossible to cancel with them. She had the worst attitude. She kept talking over us. She asked why we were so mad? and why don't we want to protect our family? We asked for a supervisor and after all her yawning she said she was the supervisor. Talked to a friend and told her about my experience and she said she tried to cancel her mom's service. They wanted to know where she moved to. My friend said the grave yard! We will never recommend ADT.

ADT is not your best choice
ADT has become too big to really be concerned about servicing its customers after they sign on the dotted line. Their reps made promises to me as a customer to replace window and door sensors that have caused problems for me. A SIMPLE REQUEST. After I provided all the proof they requested to be emailed to "Always ThereATadt.com", within less than 15 minutes they responded saying nothing could be done. So I guess it only took them 15 minutes to verify the documents that took me an hour to put together. In my opinion, they provide the "AlwaysThereATadt.com" as just a ploy to make the public think that they will get right on it.
Plain and simple the WORST
Plain and simple the WORST. It may sound like a good idea to go with a "large" company like ADT. But do yourself a favour and DO NOT sign up with them. They will start charging whatever they want and since you are in a "contract" all you can say is thank you can I have another.
Leaving them is one of the most convoluted situations (just like leaving a cable/phone/internet company) they will "try" to earn your business by waiving a fee for one-two months.
Try them if you like to be probed and provoked or go with ANYONE else.
Again they are Simply the worst.

Terrible at their job
I’ve tried several times to cancel and I’ve sent my military paperwork several times and somehow they are still charging me a penalty fee for terminating the service. I’ve talked to several agents for almost two months saying it will be taken care of but today they charged me. ADT personnel lied and are not helpful at all. Do not recommend their services. Try a different one less deceitful and that are willing to help.

Don't get ADT
My door bell was flashing red , i called ADT for a flat rate they sent someone out to fix my camera. 2 days later my doorbell didn't ring. I called them back they said they would send someone out free of charge because it hadn't been 90 days. The guy came out and everything worked fine , then I was slapped with a 184 dollar bill which they said it was labor. Why would I have to pay that when he corrected what the first guy did? Then I noticed I wasn't getting any Notifications for my front door when someone was knocking on it. I try to look on my phone and it wasn't showing my front door.i waited until whoever was at my door had gone, and my doorbell was not lit at all and I tried to press the doorbell and not a sound. I I tried looking at my last notification and it was only one day after the 2nd guy came and everything stopped working.after so many phone calls of why I have to pay for a service that vlearly wasn't done right and disconnected the following day , ADT said they charged. Labor charge ,I told them what I was told it should be free because of the 90 period it was litteraly one day after the guy came to fix it. Today was the last straw they set me up an appointment between 8am and 12 pm ,I got a phone call around 1140am the same guy that supposedly fixed it the 2nd time told me I need to hire an electrition , so now I'm suppose to pay 184.00 for a job that only worked for one day? I thought this was a security company. How can u charge someone an outrageous charge to be back at square one with no doorbell chime or camera.
ADT is terrible after my contract ends…
ADT is terrible after my contract ends I will not continue my service with them. They gave me false information on what I would be paying and the equipment upon joining, and also quoted me a certain price I would be paying, which was different upon receiving my first bill I called and complained and the issue was never solved. Every year they go up 4 or 5 dollars on your bill and even issue you have with the system they want to charge you more to get someone to come out. My backyard camera stopped working within the first year I had the service. Right now they owe me a refund because they took payment out two times, which I have not received yet. Don't get service with them choose another service that is more reliable and reputable than them.
Awful Service
I've had the service for over a year on my brand-new house. It was pretty expensive to install, but I let that slide since I figured, hey, it's ADT, there shouldn't be any issues, right? Wrong! We paid to have an extra panel installed upstairs that works about as well as a wet piece of paper; it constantly disconnects and does nothing about 99% of the time. Well, now our doorbell has stopped working, and any time you try to talk to someone from the app when you're away, it doesn't work 99% of the time. The app itself works about 75% of the time; the other 25% of the time, it's so laggy, and it takes so long to pull up the camera system to see who's at the door or in the driveway that it's worthless. We went on a trip this weekend, and the entire system apparently crashed out the day we left and was just frozen on armed away even though it wasn't working. When we got home, we realized that BOTH of the panels were hard crashed out and we called ADT and they gave us a ton of attitude and the guy was so rude that I hung up on him after asking for a manager repeatedly. Then, after all of that, they told us the best they could do was send someone out in 5 days, so we are paying for a service that doesn't work for the next five days, and if we leave, we have no security protecting the house. Awful company, when we move next year we're going with someone else.
ADT Doesn't Care…
Could only recall the code b4 the one they claim is different now.They need to be reminded that customers are not Ai robots.Maybe they would be less impatient then.They did not even have any interest&l hung up feeling stupid!
ADT demands money for battery
I have has this for a few years. Unknowingly the battery went. When I called, i was wrongfully told that i would have to pay. I refused and said i wanted to speak to supervisor. I have yet to get call back. Lack of system to notify us and demand that i pay is fraudulent and a violation of the consumer rights of every customer/

I could give him zero stars, I would. I was a first time homebuyer. I felt bullied into getting a security system and then got it. I never used it. I try to get out of my contract, but they are not forgiving. They don’t care if you never use it, do you still have to pay the amount monthly which is generally $49. I am finally coming up to my to your agreement where I can cancel but you have to cancel within 30 days they won’t let you cancel before if you try to cancel before you get a cancellation fee if you don’t wanna be locked into a contract, please please do not go with ADT. It has been nothing but a nightmare for me get the ring.
