ZERO stars
If I could given a ZERO star review on ADT , I would. They were unable to fix problems with our system and I cannot get them to cancel our service. When I call I sit on hold forever. Honestly I think that is a tactic because people will eventually hang up and not cancel. What a horrible company to do business with. Never again!!

0 star review! Do not obtain services with this unprofessional company! They lie and manipulate words so that they can continue charging after you cancel services. Do not even bother calling them because they will transfer you close to 10 times and you will have to provide your account details numerous times to different representatives. I canceled my services at the end of Marcha and they continue to bill me to this day.

Google Doorbell
Google Doorbell Recently I was out of town and when I returned I found my doorbell dislodged and on the porch. It had never been taken off the base since being installed. Neighbors told me there had been a bad wind and hail storm while I was away. I immediately called ADT and was told by a customer service rep that it was not a problem and the doorbell could be replaced. The next day an ADT person, Ryan, called to tell me that was not correct and they would not replace the doorbell. He asked if I could provide footage of the day it was damaged. Well of course if the camera was damaged there was no footage. I wasn’t as upset with them not replacing the doorbell as I was with his condescending attitude . As I tried to explain my disappointment in them not replacing or at least not charging for installation all he could do was tell my how happy customers are with ADT. Well this one customer is not happy!! The cost was $313 for doorbell and $100 for installation and I was suppose to believe that was a deal, really????! I’m sure ADT could care less so don’t bother to reply to my review about what a valued customer I am because I certainly don’t feel that way!!!

I hate this company
I hate this company. They don’t make it clear that you sign a 3 year contract maybe equaling more than 1.5K and if you want to cancel before the contract is up you have to pay whatever percentage of that 2k you have left. I wanted to cancel after about 3 months they told me I had to pay 75% which was 1.5k

I have been overcharged for months now
I have been overcharged for months now. I tried to contact them to remove the extra charge and everytime I explained the problem I was transferred to a new person and had to explain again and no one ever helped me. Very dissatisfied.

Cancelling the service after 2 yrs & 10…
Cancelling the service after 2 yrs & 10 months I called ADT to cancel the service and my call was transferred 6 times and I am tired of updating the same thing 6 times to 6 different people. Req is simple - cancel the service, expecting an email from your team that service is cancelled and that's it. I cannot be on call for 2 hours again, i called on June 10 and June 13, if the service is not cancelled there will be another date given and I can not keep paying the bill for additional one month if the guys keep postponing.

I had some of the equipment removed…
I had some of the equipment removed (sirens, smoke alarms) two days after installation. I received no refund for this equipment and it was only 2 days old and I'm sure it will be reused. I can't believe they woud not refund for 2 day old unused equipment. I am not pleased and would not recommend ADT to anyone. VERY overpriced

If I could leave 0 stars I would.The adt sales rep not only lied to get the sale done but the camera footage cuts out consistently anytime anything important happens . But customer service is non existent and i keep getting put on hold and waiting long periods just to talk to someone who can’t or won’t help me ! If you are thinking of using ADT run far and run fast !! Worst company I’ve ever Ben in contact with

6 months later and ADT still owes me over $1000!
I use ADT for multiple store locations and I recently asked my sales rep to update my app so I could view all stores on the same app. This request was followed by hundreds of dollars per location for set-up, some are now being double-billed and it's still happening from 6 months ago and NOBODY AT ADT CAN HELP FIX IT, not to mention over $2000 in early termination fees even though I never terminated any of my accounts and it took ADT 4+ months to return the $2000. They still owe me $1300 and nobody will reply to me and the local sales rep literally tells me the previous guy screwed up and he sees in the system I'm being double billed. How can a company this big continue to steal from me and nobody can help?!?!

ADT no customer service
How is this company still in business???? There rating on any site that takes ratings is a 1 star which is the lowest it can go. If people could choose 0 it would be close to 0... I called about a billing issue and got transferred 4 times to "someone who could assist me" I am unemployed, and looking for payment options/canceling my monthly monitoring service. I have a sensor in the hall that is supposed to sense gas leaks, but have had a gas leak that it didn't recognize. Luckily I caught it before it killed my cats. So far no one in billing customer service has done anything but put me on hold, transfer me, and hang up on me. I didn't even mention the sensor issue only billing issues. First person transferred me to my dealer who said they can tell me canceling would cost $1000 because unemployed people have that much money. Billing support for corporate is overseas so language barriers abound. Once they get confused they transfer you to wait on hold 15 minutes +. Then they put you on hold multiple times until they get confused and transfer you. Hold times are horrible because all they do is transfer, hold, transfer. I asked to speak to a supervisor...got put on hold for another 15 minutes...🤯😡🤯🤬😡🤬😡🤯🤬

THE WORST EXPERIECE WITH ADT AS SOON AS THEY FOUND OUT I WAS CACELLING
Ive been having the wort of time trying to cancel my services for my business. I shut down my business since June and July 3rd I called and still went ahead and charged me the next month so I called and I confirmed they had not cancelled. why should I be paying a service Im not using? That is so not ok!!!! I am very upset because I was on the phone for 3 hours and "finally" the person incharge of cancellation was on phone it hung up!!!!!

Referral credits are a scam
We talked spoke to the salesman that came to our home about ensuring that my mom received a referral visa gift card. He took her name and information and reported she would receive the gift card (she rant and raved about adt- this is the only reason we chose them). It’s been 6 months now and my mom still has NOT received the $200 visa gift card. I have repeatedly called customer service and either I’m told it will be handled and she will receive the card or that she isn’t eligible. We are furious about this and no one at adt seems to care about resolving this. I wish I had read the reviews about their terrible customer service before we chose them as our security system. I would avoid them at all costs- you need help with something, good luck! Simplisafe sounds like the place to go… Update- emailed the company as per the response listed below from ADT and they reported that cannot do anything to help. Absolutely terrible!

I wish I new how difficult it was to…
I wish I new how difficult it was to cancel ADT Services. I spoke to several customer service reps and account reps, who kept me going around and around in circles trying to cancel my service since July of 2022. It is August 2023 and for the 3rd time I am trying to cancel the service, I thought I canceled a year ago only to be told ADT does not have record of my earlier cancellation attempts. Now they are telling me that they have cancelled the service as of August this year 2023 and will still charge me for a system that had not been hooked up since, July 2022. This is a terrible business tactic they are using as I am reading other people's experiences trying to cancel services with ADT. I wish I new this before doing business with ADT.

Read Terms not what the sellers say.
I got the ADT security system only and they could not do the video monitoring, I was not going to do but the manager told me that, I can cancel service with in 6 months. I called back in three months saying I got a security system that has video monitoring as well and wanted to cancel, now they decided to charge me 2751 dollars. I am truly upset and recommend citizens to think twice before trusting ADT. Our conversation is recorded and customer service had listened to the manager telling me that I could cancel but they are making me termination fee regardless of what the manager said. just read the very long contract terms and do not trust what the sellers are saying.

Cancel Service I have spent the last week on the phone for well over 8 hours, attempting to reach someone to cancel my ADT+ service. I was transferred more times than I can count, and I have pressed 1 to have a representative call me back and no one ever returned my call. I have tried everything I know to do, even to the point of attempting to update my payment method and you can't do that to switch it to paper billing. I will be notifying the Better Business Bureau. I will NEVER use ADT again. I sold my home in November, and moved into my current home. ADT worried the life out of me to reinstall a system. Boy, was I an idiot.

Don't trust them they are untruthful make you take a half of work you lose money, and all they tmdi is reschedule. I'm going to cancel with and all my other 26 rental properties I have I stand the The office of Jim DeVries, his guy Mazen and girl Jessica terrible untruthful people

If you need to cancel ADT good luck
If you need to cancel ADT good luck. You will be on hold at least 2 hours and be transfered 4 or more times. Each customer service rep will ask you why you are cancelling and then transfer you to another customer service rep.

Worst customer service ever
Worst customer service ever. Every time I call ADT, I was told it was going to be 10 minutes, consistently more than 90 minutes. Also paid for ADT Pulse for four years, and it NEVER worked. I purchased it for remote access, and they tried sending technicians out to fix it. Last attempt the office and field technicians communicated poorly, and tried to charge us for fixing something that never worked originally. Done with ADT.

One the frustrated customers service …
One the frustrated customers service that u can ever imagine just perchsued a system from them in the beginning they told me it's so easy to install I received the equipment tried to pair the devices none of them work called customers service she told me that I have to wait 2 weeks before they can have some one available to call me and walk me through the process what a joke !!!

TOTALLY RIDICULOUS!!!
I bought my house in 2021. The previous owner had a 60 mo contract with another company that was paid in full. This contract was transferred to me when I bought the house. I never received a copy of the contract or information about the equipment despite making several requests. I was told that my contract expired in March of 2023 and that if I didn't want to renew it I needed to let them know 6 weeks in advance. It was my intention to cancel in January 2023. In November 2022 I received a letter in the mail informing me that my contract had been transferred to ADT. I have attempted to contact ADT several times and every time I have to contact them I spend NO LESS than an HOUR on hold and get transferred for ANOTHER hour plus hold time! I DO NOT HAVE TIME FOR THIS!!! When I spoke to them after it was transferred I was told that my contract was paid in full through March of 2024. I requested a copy of my contract and never received it. In June 2023 I started to receive balance due notifications. I am currently trying to cancel my contract and am being told that they can cancel it but I will still have to make payments to fulfill the contract. They have told me that they have to contact the other company to get the contract from them. ADT DOES NOT EVEN HAVE a copy of my contract to provide to me! I have asked them numerous times for this. They have told me every time that they would e mail it but it NEVER shows up! Why would you "buy a contract" from a company and not get the documents??? This is absolutely ridiculous!!!

Horrible Service
I’ve used ADT for the past two years. We are selling our house and building a new home, so I called to cancel my service while our new home is being built. When I originally called to cancel, they told me that the cancellation fee would be waived since I would be hooking up service when the home is done. That was great! This was until I received a cancellation bill in the mail for over $500. I called and asked why and they explained that since I wasn’t transferring service within the next 90 days, they would still have to charge me the cancellation. I will never be using them again. This is ridiculous and they have lost what would have been a loyal customer.

Upgraded my ADT system a couple of years ago. Have always had service that included batteries and was told I would be grandfathered for batteries when I also signed up for their new service agreement. So totally surprised when I was told I would have to pay for a battery in my main system. $37 and 7 to 10 days for arrival and I would have to put it in myself. So I wanted to talk to a supervisor. I would have to stay on the phone on hold for at least 1 hour and 45 minutes because the supervisor could not call me back. And even if I waited on the phone they may not talk to me. My priority in the next few weeks is to research new alarm companies. So sick of all of the wait times, transfers to other numbers, etc. Not to mention that their SALESMAN lied to me. Definitely would not recommend ADT. Forgot to add that I have been a customer for 21 years.

It is quite apparent that competition
It is quite apparent that competition has left ADuhT in the dust. The poor service is the direct result of a company that lost touch with its customer base years ago and simply is sending monthly bills for poor service that folks continue to pay like sheep going over the cliff. I have been a customer of this company for 20 years and the customer service has gone to hell. Too big to fail? I doubt that unless they get onto other business activities like selling CBD, weight loss programs or erectile dysfunction remedies.

Technician told me to get a ladder and take camera down off the top of my house
I had a camera not working and after being on hold for over an hour, I was ask where my camera was located. Told him it was on the top of my house and he preceded to tell me to go get a ladder and take camera down so we could work on it. Asked why he couldn’t send a technician and he said it cost too much. I’m a 76 year old senior woman and him telling me to get a ladder and climb upon my house was absurd.

Alarm has been going over late night
Alarm has been going over late night, during the day, pretty much all week. Ive called. Spent hours on the phone, woken up during multiple nights, all the while being told it is fixed....but clearly not. Im done. Im pulling my company's contract with ADT
