I paid $450 to upgrade my system for no reason
I paid $450 to upgrade my system. 4 months later we find out that the new upgraded sensors installed arent functioning. I called to get an appointment with a tech, but they gave me a HUGE HEADACHE for them to understand what i was asking for. In the end, they wanted to charge me another $300 to fix the sensors. No thanks. Im canceling my service tomorrow morning asap.

This company is the worst I have ever…
This company is the worst I have ever had the misfortune to deal with. We have had nothing but billing and payment issues since we started service with them 2 years ago. They show an amount due for the month, than when you pay that amount you end up with an additional amount due for the same month. They nickle and dime you to death. I will be filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau.

Terrible company. Terrible customer service.
For anyone that is interested. I would advise running the other way from ADT. We have been with them since 2015 with no issues until we moved. They screwed up the move and we ended up getting billed for three accounts (the old house now sold, the new house, and an ADT blue account). I have been trying to close the two erroneous accounts for nearly a year now with no success. They promise it is closed, and the next month I receive another bill. The total outstanding for the two accounts that should not exist is now over 2,000.00 and rises every month. I never received anything for these charges. I can’t get anyone on the phone, text, or email to help me. They either hang up or leave me on hold for over an hour! I have had to stop payment on my current account (which is fully paid at this time) to attempt to get their attention. I am now having to get a law firm involved. Run! Don’t walk to their competitors. If they are willing to do this to a customer of 7 years, think what they are willing to do to new customers.

Very bad system
This is a death trap,seriously you call police to come harass me in my own house,what if he shot me?,midnight on top of it.getting cuffed because your useless alarm went off for no reason.

Worst customer service!!!
ABSOLUTELY the worst customer service I’ve ever had. Wish I used Vivint again because that was a breeze compared to ADT. ADT is quick to get your business as soon as possible but cannot get any help when their equipment malfunctions less than 2 weeks in… DO NOT get ADT. You will regret it.

This company is the worst I wish I never use the offer mi a contract for 2 years 60 a month for 2 cameras one camera stop working right away I call they want to charge for came to fixed I complete the contract and now I can't cancel the ask 1200 to cancel and they say mi contract is for 5 years the guy never have a bill or a copy of the contract now I can't cancel because the guy never give mi a password I don't have information about the account that Is just trash company worse costumer service that is a bs company

Worst customer service and sales people…
Worst customer service and sales people ever. Sales tried to sell all kinds of things we did not want and sent pages of documents to sign for them. Sent pages of instructions to do before the install which we tried to do and could not. Phone tree sent me to 4 people, none of whom could help. Turns out that was lucky because it was stuff we never asked for. This is fraudulent. Both my sister and I had same experience with 2 houses. Thankfully, the wonderful technician who came to do just what we asked was able to straighten everything out and even he said the company shouldn’t do this to people. Since we are “elderly” I think they get away with this kind of stuff.

Customer service is horrible and they…
Customer service is horrible and they nickel and dime you. When you go to cancel, they tell you that your service will be on for 30 and try to charge you for it. I needed my carbon monoxide detector. They never installed everything they said they were going to.

When the System is installed, I was never told that I would need a device pin or Scan QR code for each camera and device. When power goes out, Google Home must be reset. You will need these device codes to reset everything. So, I your outside flood light has a camera and you don't have the QR Code, be ready to climb 16 ft, as in my case. I may have to hire and electrician to completely reinstall flood lights + camera. ADT installer did not provide any of this information. Your suppose to remember to keep all your boxes, but nobody from ADT will tell you this. I guess they got my money and are gone. I'm still waiting for a virtual technician to help me recover the QR codes. If your a elderly, do not purchase ADT. No, no matter what, DO NOT! Also, Google Home is sorry.

Truly one of the worse Customer Service…
Truly one of the worse Customer Service departments I’ve ever dealt with. Was a customer for 20 years and have waited on the phone 4 different times on a billing issue that still hasn’t been handled. I would highly recommend find another company they don’t care about you just your money

so yesterday my nest thermostat quit…
so yesterday my nest thermostat quit working as did the alarm panel. I live in Florida and it is a heat wave. without the Thermostat my AC can’t be turned on. so ADT first solution was coming out July 31st in 8 days. their final solution was coming wednesday in 3 days. guess that is better than 8, but i am sure by then my house will be well over 90. sitting in the living room with fan on high . now my wall unit is making a non stop buzzing sound so great i cant sleep because of the sound or the heat. glad they are johnny on the spot with the protection.

They're sneaky bumvoids
They're absolutely wonderful until you sign that contract, that is when they don't give a s***. I was all excited and recommended them to my sister and mom, my sister told them I recommended her to them and she got an account. Then I started asking how I'm supposed to get the referral bonus they said I would get and they go oh you have to do this and that and that and this and I do, and then they email my sister who goes well yes my sister recommended me and now I have it and they go oh sorry there was already another lead that has that. So it appears they give your recommendation to somebody else if you don't do the 19 steps properly and before you actually recommend them to anyone.....I don't prepare to give recommendations, I'm not one of your sales people -.-

I called adt company and technician came the same day and installed of course trying to sell more things but at least came the same day. In 1 month after one of the sensor fell on the floor without even opening the window. I called customer service and they said “ I am really sorry we will be giving you a call within next 3-4 weeks to fix it” Omg technician can come the same day to sell and install but once you have a problem it takes 1 month to fix a problem?Unbelievable. I would not recommend to anyone

Worst customer service. Everyone who works there reads from cards/prompts and cannot answer questions other than the obvious. Extremely frustrating experience. I can’t wait to use another company when I move.

Awful customer service/NOT transparent communication
ADT has continuously left out important information and failed to offer customer service in a very purposeful attempt to scam customers into spending more money! When transferring, even though they market it as a 3-year contract, you are required to restart a three year contract or pay off the remaining balance. I have had ADT in two homes now (because the price to cancel is OUTRAGEOUS) and both times when the technician shows up to install equipment, they bring up hundreds of dollars in equipment that you didn't ask for. For example, was told I could cover every window/door in my home for $45/month, but when the technicians showed up, they informed me that I actually only got 3 sensors for that price and every single one added an insane amount of money, ending in my monthly payment being closer to $90 if I wanted every door/window. They failed to cancel my old plan, even though it was noted on my account, and double charged me. I've now called three separate times and spent 3 HOURS on hold, waiting for somebody who can help (still haven't found one, so still paying double). It is a constant cycle of being "transferred to the correct person" and being left on hold for an hour all over again. Could not recommend ADT less.

Horrible customer service
I have had the worst experience with adt over the past 36 hours. My alarm system kept going off and I was unable to stop it despite doing everything I was advised to do by the adt customer service reps. Three attempts to fix the issue and at 11 o’clock last night, they had me dismantle the entire system and then told me to put it back together again as their attempt at a fix for the third time was unsuccessful. Needless to say, I was not able to reconnect the tiny wires as I didn’t have the proper tools. Their solution was to put in an emergency request for service that would take as long as two hours for someone to respond to. This while my alarm was screeching, no doubt waking neighbors. I finally, only God knows how, was able to silence the alarm after an hour. At that point, adt called and said that they wanted to make sure I was aware that the emergency service call would be $270. Because I had silenced the system, I agreed to a service all the next morning. At 4:30 am, the system again sounded and awakend me and my neighbors. Since my panel had been taken apart and disconnected, I had no way to stop the alarm. Again, and only God knows how, it did shut off on its own after about 5 minutes. This morning the tech called to tell me he was on his way. During our conversation, it was discovered that there was conflicting information in the work order that work order was entered so the tech canceled the request before he arrived. After hours on the phone again with adt customer service I was told it would be six days before they could get out to do a service call and that I would in fact be without their services, that I pay in advance for, over those six days. When I expressed my dissatisfaction and my desire to cancel my service with them as they weren’t providing what they were contracted to provide, they informed me that the only way out of my contract was to pay it off. I requested a call from a supervisor which I did receive within 5 hours after I requested it. She only reiterated what all the customer reps before her said. That I was “priority “ and they understood my “frustration” and that I would be on a cancellation list that may allow them to get to my home sooner. She also confirmed that I was indeed without service until they could get here. After 22 years with them, I am done. Whether I decide to pay out the contract so I can move on sooner, I have to truly think about as I don’t have over $900 to just throw away. If I finish the contract, there is no way I will ever chose adt again. I also will be sharing my experience with everyone in my new neighborhood as well as my daughter’s huge new neighborhood. I have never written a negative review in my life, but this experience gave me cause to do so. And by the way, as I am looking at other reviews of adt here, notice how they have the same response each time from adt? They don’t even bother to respond in a personal fashion. Adt, you are really lacking good customer service and we see it and it will have an impact down the road. Oh, thanks for your “personal” response adt. Shouldn’t you be reaching out to contact me rather than me having to contact you once again? I have spent too many hours on the phone on hold to talk to your customer service people. It is on you now to do the right thing.

SCAM from beginning to end
SCAM from beginning to end. Service is non existent. They make promises they absolutely cannot keep and blame it on your wifi. (which is perfect) Contracts are designed to trap and make you pay way more than they tell you at the onset. Don't even get me started on trying to cancel. DO NOT sign any long term contract. Read the very very small print. The subcontractors are great, but they're following a script. It will screw you in every way. And to reply to ADT's response. I called, I spoke to every manager, and supervisor you gave me. None of you would admit that you were scamming me from the start.You blamed it on the subcontractor. The subcontractor blamed it on ADT. My money was never refunded. I tried for months. I argued and fought until I didn't have any strength left to do so. And that is exactly how they will do it. They'll just wear you down so you have no choice but to be cheated out of your money.

Omg where do I start! I feel like on of those people who say if I could give it 0 stars I would. This is the worst security system in the world!!! I would never ever use them again. Simply safe is so much better. Please be aware.

They're Horrible!!!
I'm soon to be 70yrs. Old. I lost my husband, and I moved into a mobile home park. I had got ADT for security. I lived in a singlewide for 3yrs, and decided to buy a double wide.so I called them to tell them I was moving, they so oh since I'm a customer already, they would move me for $99.00, well I moved and they came and put the old system that I had on the singlewide, and put it in doublewide, so I, it's been really safe here, so I decided I wanted to cancel, so I called, and they told me I was breaking the contract, and that I would have to pay over $1,500 cause I had signed a new contract! They don't even have my real name on it, and the contract says the technician signed it, with my permission! LIE!!! Plus they said the contract is for 6 or 7 yrs! Plus when I moved they started me over! I had already had them for 5yrs! Anyone thinking of getting them, DON'T DO IT!!! You'll regret it! They said why didn't I call sooner, I said, because I didn't know you started me over, until I called to cancel! They're horrible!!!

I moved and got new service with adt…
I moved and got new service with adt and everytime I call there is an hour hold and i just get annoyed waiting it's like they are trained to not pick up the phone. I literally still have service I just need to cancel old service at previous residence. I'm literally on hold NOW. I have called over 10 times in last week or so and everytime minimum 45 minute to hour hold and I just can't wait that long.

One of the worst companies I have ever dealt with, calling their cancellation department means you would have to wait for an hour (there is a recorded message that would tell you your wait time at the beginning and always ends up even more) which is their way of forcing you to give up. If you are persistent enough to wait, expect the first customer service agent to hang up on you pretending you got disconnected and never calling you back (even though they have your number) hoping that you would give up at this point. This may even happen more than once, every time it happens is another hour on the phone waiting to happen to land on someone else to talk to. They say there is a call back option, most of the time you are not given that option and when it sometimes happens that you come across it, no one ever calls back anyways. Awful company and unscrupulous business model that I can't wait to get rid of. As of their service, good luck if they call in a timely manner when your alarm goes off. Talking from experience. Think of ADT as a deterrent not protection.

Sloppy Customer Service
I have ADT because they bought out my alarm company. The customer service did not provide all of the information I should have gotten. I was told I had to upgrade in order to get the ring doorbell and all of my existing equipment was included. I was not told it would be a 5 yr. contract and the work order was not correct when the Tech arrived. The amount I was told to pay at installation was incorrect. The Tech had to contact a supervisor and wait for a response before he could do the work.

My Mother is 78 yrs old
My Mother is 78 yes old. She has had terrible customer service experiences! The alarm was going off for no reason in the middle of the night. She couldn't turn it off, and spent 3 hrs on hold! The lady couldn't help her so she just put her on eternal hold. The rep also said no one could come out. Not even the next day. Just awful. Now, she has moved into an ALF (assisted living facility) and was on hold over an hour to cancel her service. She finally hung up. Now, ive been on hold for over 1hr. I think they do that on purpose. We have written to them to cxl and they are still sending her bills. I would not reccomend them AT ALL. Sales is great, of course but there is NO customer service.
