Let's just say we've had a non-working system for a month, a technician who failed to fix it (£300 for the pleasure) and 4 no-shows to appointments. Do whatever you can to go with a different alarm provider.

This is the worst company ever. There equipment sucks, everyone is incompetent. I wish I would have went with vivant. This company is a joke. Please DO NOT USE THEM.

Me and my wife had to sell our home due to divorce. They told us it would be a 660.00 dollars early termination fee and we accepted that . Then the customer service rep told us if one of us used the self install adt unit they would wave the 660.00 fee which was a bold face lie . After my wife signed up for the agreement we tried to get our 660.00 refunded after they took it out of our account without permission. Then proceed to tell us that we were not eligible for the refund because the new service was under my wife’s name. Now she is stuck with them for 3 years and if she wants to terminate early it’s a 900.00 fee . I will never use this company again or ever recommend adt to anyone. Please do not use this company all customers service reps are from india( not that there’s anything wrong with that) they don’t care about American clients and are very rude over the phone . I don’t know how they stay in business with tactics like that basically lying and stealing out of our account
Unprofessional
This was the most unprofessional, horrible experience in my life. For three days, I tried to get a hold of customer service and was unsuccessful. Never again will I ever contact this company again for my security needs they are so unprofessional.
I made a payment of my past due…
I made a payment of my past due balance. Then I made an additional payment to cover for the month of June so I could be cleared for when they take the payments out of my account for July. These people still took a payment out of my account which was a double charge and refused to give me my money back and sent me the payment history and I’m still telling them that they still double charge me for the equipment. They refuse to allow me to email them my bank statement of where they took additional payment off my card. This is a hot mess. I even asked to speak with a supervisor on last Friday they tell me it’ll take 24-48 hours for them to give me a call back. All these different representative are not on the same page. They still trying to argue with me about what they didn’t do.

POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE- DANIEL URREGO
The only reason there is a one star rating is because it’s needed to proceed with the review. I called customer service and got a representative by the name of Daniel Urrego. Daniel did not display one iota of customer service. He was rude and condescending the entire conversation. He overtalked me and refused to provide me with his name. I had to call back into customer service and wait on hold for a significant amount of time just to obtain his name. I’m appalled that such a reputable company can employ such an unprofessional individual.

Worse customer care!
I had ADT for 3 and half years
I just moved from my state, sold my home and ADT representatives bounce me around while telling every silgle specialist that I needed to cancel. Finally after 1 hour and thirty minutes I was able to get help. But only to find out I was going to be charge an extra month because I needed to cancel a month in advance. The cancelation took 2 hours.
2 years prior, I had to call ADT for a different reason and it took 2 whole hours plus bounced around from "specialist" to "specialist".
I will never use ADT again!

WARNING DO NOT DO BUSINESS with ADT!!! Technician over charged me 1,134.15 dollars after I had already signed contract and paid online and was advised of no hidden fees .
The technician said my payment was still not processed by bank so he decided to bring up another bill and over charged me for 4 items at installation.
The system they set up takes more than 5 minutes to load camera view.
I check my bank account and I was bill twice for a 599 surveillance system in total I was billed around 2,000 dollars for a $809 system that's worth less that $809 dollars plus they have hidden fees and credit check takes more than 24 hrs to review by then the technician had already charged me again.
The credit check letter came into my email hours after ADT technician left ...
It's a huge problem they aren't willing to solve they are quietly stealing and over charging customers twice.
Their advertising is misleading and confusing.
Rude Tech Support
I have called Tech Support two days in a row due to my panel not staying connected to wifi. After my internet provider rebooted my modem and me totally disconnecting all the wires then reconnecting them after a minute or so to ensure my internet was working. I called ADT after restarting my panel. Both calls resulted in me constantly being interrupted and being spoken to like I am stupid. Well today I repeated all the steps after my panel didn't stay connected to wifi even during the storm we had early this morning. No power surge, no internet loss, and no power outage. The rude rep tried to tell me I had not done the steps above. I got heated.. I told her I was going to deal with her any longer since she would not interrupting and over talking me when I was explaining all I had done. I disconnected the call. I don't pay for monitoring service to be constantly interrupted. HORRIBLE service
POOR SERVICE
I WOULD HAVE RATED 0 BUT IT WASN'T AN OPTION. POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. I REFERRED SOMEONE TO GET THE $200 GIFT CARD ON APRIL 28, 2023. TODAY IS JUNE 12TH AND I STILL HAVE NOT RECEIVED MY GIFT CARD. I'VE CALLED CUSTOMER SERVICE 3 TIMES AND GOT NOWHERE. THE REPS DON'T SPEAK ENGLISH. I WAS ON 45+ MINUTES ON EACH CALL. THEY DON'T STAND BEHIND THEIR PRODUCTS. I'VE EVEN CALL MY SALES REP AND HE IS NOT HELP.
Avoid ADT
Just had a call with the virtual support person to help with getting the new app to arm and disarm my alarm service. Well, instead of helping, they shut my whole system down and has forced me to have a tech person to come to my home and pay a $25 service fee! I HATE ADT WITH A PASSION! Customer service is terrible. The service is trashy. They only want to keep locking you into contracts by trying to force you to upgrade your system. I HATE THIS COMPANY! I really want to sue for pain and suffering. AVOID ADT!!!
Sorry we purchased your equipment
We contacted the company several times (14 calls) to be exact. Instead of fixing the problem, we were continuously rerouted to the sales department for upgrades. We've only had the system for 5 months and cannot get anyone to fix the sensor issues.
Billing issues…
After numerous billing problems I cancelled my service in January via registered mail and have proof of delivery. The system was replaced in March by a new security provider. Despite this TELUS continues to send monthly bills and overdue notices for a service that no longer exists. I spoke to a TELUS account representative several months ago to no avail. Avoid this company at all costs.

If I could give a negative number, I woooz. I have been stuck with this company for too long and it is getting worse. Customer service is super incompetent and bounces you from one person to another. They will try to force you to upgrade your system just to lock you into another contract even after there was NO indication of them changing the system to arm and disarm your system from your phone. DO NOT UPGRADE your system if you don’t want to be locked into another contract. Horrible service. Horrible system. Just waiting out my contract balance so I can stop this monitoring service and go to someone more reliable and with better customer service.

Upstairs alarm panel went unresponsive *again* after writing this review and receiving a response. I'm under the impression the local office is of the 'fly by night' veriety, with nobody of any particular authority to make any real decisions, and only exists as a hub for installs, as I have called the 1-800 number provided several times, only to have my requests go into some sort of a black hole. I'm at the cusp of cutting my losses, cancelling my account, and going somewhere else. If you truly care about keeping my business (over 11 years, BTW), you will have someone with any real authority reach out to me.
Crappy customer service
Every time I needed any assistance via phone it was a nightmare. Being bounced from agent to agent to the "right department". Usually the average time to reach the right person on the phone is 50 minutes
Local managers and staff care little to none about supporting their product
Contacted ADT customer service 1-800 number several times, Staff are very pleasant and tend to my needs over the phone, but that's where it ends. Have made five phone calls to try and rid myself of this piece of trash, pretend WiFi based 'alarm' system ($2000 by the way) that has malfunctioned more than it has worked, and have my old system reinstalled. (As if the notion of an alarm system that has WiFi as its backbone isn't appalling enough.) I've received no phone calls from any local area managers, and the only visits I've had is from service technicians scheduled by corporate to come and band-aid the system into something acceptable. At 3:52 this morning, I was awaken to a warning beep stating it has fallen off the WiFi *again*. Made another phone call, my concerns were documented, however I suspect a local technician received the case notification, and simply reset my system from remote merely to placate me, and leave me holding the bag for this to happen once again. My advice for anyone shopping for a security system is to avoid this company altogether, and shop for one of the far superior local alternatives. I'd do it myself, but I now have a vested interest in purchased equipment, and and trying not to buy another system *again*.

This company is a total ripoff. We left them over 9 yrs ago for their horrible service and went to Ackerman. Unfortunately last year ADT bought out Ackerman. Since then one of our keypads stopped working. ADT tell us we got to pay to upgrade in order to replace the keypad. So we refused. I told them what if the 2nd keypad go out? They said I would just have to pay to upgrade. So now, the 2nd one doesn’t work. I call to cancel to go to another company. Those folks tell me I’m under a contract!!! Says Who? I’ve been with Ackerman for years. I don’t have a contact. She go on to tell me when it ends. I say well when did it start. She couldn’t tell me that. But yet, she continues to tell me when it ends. I said, well if you took over Ackerman and see when my contact ended. Why can’t you tell me when it started? She then says it started last year. I said, so when ADT took over they renewed a contract that I never agreed to? So now, their saying I got to pay to upgrade or pay to end a contract that I never signed into. I ask to speak to a manager. I have to hold 30 minutes or more. Or leave a message to have them call back.This is totally ridiculous. I can’t even arm my house and they want me to continue paying them.

Issues from the start - playback on dedicated TV & 2 phones not working with app. After months - YES read MONTHS - of phone calls, got a tech day after asking for system removal. Fixed the problems & did work well - for 6 days! Have now cancelled & seeking legal advice as received cancellation notice for $499 till June 30, then 2 days later cancellation notice for $746 till June 30! My advice - RUN FOR THE HILLS!

If I could give a negative number I would. 6 + years with 2 systems (personal and company). The worst customer service ever! They cannot work on your systems after 5pm??? Just terrible phone service. I would strongly recommend considering other companies.
Absolutely incompetent sales person…
Absolutely incompetent sales person Kyle Maxwell and installers. They charged us upfront even though we have in writing they wouldn’t charge us until the work is completed. That was 2 months ago and after multiple emails, calls and texts messages trying to get them to complete the job we paid for almost 2 months ago. And finally after multiple failed attempts to install they won’t respond. We have since filed complaints w the contractors board, their bonding company and our credit card company. It’s amazing to me the utter lack of competence from the installers showing up multiple times without the proper equipment to charging us for an appointment they didn’t show up for to complete the original installation we already paid in full. Way too many issues to list hopefully the above actions get them to act.

My Debit card was charged twice in the same month and was dated to be charged a 3rd time had I not caught them. Instead of ADT returning the money they took from me without my permission, they forced me to take a credit. I requested a refund that never happened, I was promised a phone call that never came, and an email that I never received. I didn't have a choice. ADT TOOK UNAUTHORIZED FUNDS FROM MY ATM CARD AND APPLIED IT AS A DOUBLE PAYMENT. THEN REFUSED TO REFUND IT.
